This is the third time I have worked with Mr. Leal, and all I can say is that his service is fantastic in every respect. The work is exacting and of superior quality. He and his team are prompt and VERY professional .

I have worked with Ferney before, and I will work with him again. We are just wrapping up a major remodel of our kitchen and bathroom--new floor, granite shower and floor, glass enclosure, sinks, toilet, cabinets, etc, It was major, and throughout Ferney and his team were great. They work hard, they are pleasant, they do great work....and at a very good price. We did some design work on-the-fly, and it was fun to work things through with Ferney. He never gouges you for a change to the work, and each issue is just 'no problem.' Ferney is the owner, and he does most of the key work, but his team is also great. I really like working with a small company, and not being handed off from person to person. Ferney just makes it all very easy.

We thought that his quote of $730.00 to hang a door and an over the range vent hood was a bit excessive.

Having decided to replace the ugly linoleum kitchen floor, we checked Angie's List and after a few estimates chose to work with Ferney Leal because he was professional, friendly, and honest about what it would take to do the job correctly and keep the cost down. We received a written estimate and a recommendation for a source for ceramic tile flooring (see my review of Unique Tile and Marble Center, LLC) in November 2014. Due to the upcoming holidays and knowing the time it would take for us to move kitchen furniture and such, we set a start date of January 26, 2015. We chose the tile and grout receiving a 20% discount from the vendor because Ferney had made the recommendation and arranged to have Ferney pick up the materials at the appropriate time to save us the delivery fee. Ferney and his assistant, Henry, arrived at the appointed time on Monday, Jan 26. Their first action was to lay a drop cloth from the front door to the kitchen to protect the floor while they transported tools. That first day was spent removing the existing floor and the two layers of subfloors that had been installed over the original subfloor by previous owners - nearly 1 3/4 inches of multiple layers of plywood. Throughout this process, a shop vacuum was used to removed dust and dirt so that by the end of the day, with all the debris removed, no dust was present on the counters or the walls. Note that Ferney suggested that he would be happy to install new flooring under the stove so all steps included moving the stove back and forth to accommodate. Day two was spent repairing a few of the original subfloor planks and then laying the Wonderboard - the recommended concrete-based underlayment for tile flooring. It took most of the afternoon to tape the board edges and to level a large low spot due to settling of the house over the years (built in 1954). Again, drop cloths and the shop vac were used to keep everything protected and clean. Day three involved laying the tile, grouting the spaces, custom fashioning and installing two thresholds from red oak, and mitre cutting and installing cove molding for the baseboards including application of waterproof sealer to all. Tools, excess materials, scraps, etc. were removed and it was impossible to see evidence that any work had been done except that the kitchen now had a beautiful floor. Ferney returned to the house to show us the receipts for the materials he had purchased (the contract held us responsible for the cost of materials) and we agreed on the final amount - he passed on his 20% contractor discount for materials he purchased. NOTE: The $1,875 cost included labor and materials purchased by Ferney (Wonderboard, tile spacers, thresholds, molding, wood sealer). The tile, grout, and grout sealer cost was $1, 144 so the entire cost for the new ~100 sq ft floor was $3,019. We are extremely satisfied with every aspect of his performance of this job and have already made arrangements for him to work with us on two additional significant projects. Extraordinary workmanship, expert advice, and professional service. Final note; the costs of working with Ferney were as much as 1/3 to 3/4 of the other estimates we received and included the high quality and reasonable cost of the tile products we purchased from his recommended vendor. We recommend Ferney Leal Handyman Services without hesitation.

He was professional and courteous and sent our estimate quickly. We decided not to go ahead with the project at this time but we will certainly consider having him perform the work when we are ready to go forward with it.

It went perfect, as did his previous jobs. The were very professional and got the job done quickly and perfect. They patched all cuts done for the job and matched all the paints. You could not tell that there were cuts. They do excellent work and are a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them and will use them for all future jobs!!!!

It went well--they communicated well by email, were punctual, and did a good job on the repair.

Good quality work and I would use the company again but there were few things that I need to point out to have corrected and at least one thing I missed which I wish the contractor fixed on his own. I would hire them again but I would need to be home to oversee progress.

After an exchange of emails, the provider was supposed to get back to me with an update of the cost. I never heard from them again.

High quality professional work. He did simply "forget" to do one of the requested items but when I told them, he came back and completed it.

Mr. Ferney's assistant made an appointment with me via email and Mr. Ferney came to inspect all the work I needed done. His assistant sent a quote and we set the work to be done several weeks after. It took a bit longer than I would have wanted to get it scheduled but it was worth it. Mr. Ferney was professional, courteous, accommodating and all around a great contractor. He did a wonderful job on the siding and my front door which wasn't easy to fix. I would definitely use him again!

Great from start to finish. Very easy to communicate with over email, text, and telephone calls. Provided multiple estimate options and reccomendations. Very quick to schedule the actual work once we decided to go with them and was able to do the job in less time than estimated which was great for us. Showed up on time every day and kept the work area as clean as possible; left it completely spotless after the job was finished. Tiling work as well as little other finishes that were necessary after tearing out the old insert (baseboard, painting, floor tile repair) look fantastic. Will definitely use again and will reccomend to friends/neighbors.

I contacted this company on October 19th and after providing my address and telephone number I was told nobody would be available until November 3rd. I asked to be called but nobody ever contacted me. it is now November 3rd and I still have not heard from anyone.

Mr. Leal final cost actually came in less than his estimate which I thought was very reasonable. His team was extremely professional and did a good job of cleaning up at the end of the day. They showed up on time and worked diligently throughout the day. Everything looks fabulous and I plan to have them out to do a couple more larger projects in our house.

Mr. Leal was very prompt and professional with his initial appointment to provide an estimate. The work was scheduled approximately one week later. Mr. Leal and his co-worker were very meticulous and very professional. They replaced the rotting wood, painted the replacement and rehung the storm door. In addition, they replaced all of the weather stripping and worked on main door lock and latch alignment. They were very neat and cleaned up after they were finished. The work looks absolutely fantastic and after 15 years the front door no longer fights us when we attempt to open or close it. Thank you Mr. Leal and good job. I will most certainly be contacting him for future projects.

It went very well. He is a professional carpenter not only a handyman.

We found a keeper! Mr. Leal came out quickly, looked at the problem, and gave us an estimate for the work. With just a few emails, we scheduled the work to be done by him at a time convenient for us. He showed up when he said he would and did an excellent job. We can't even tell there ever was any damage to the ceiling, it's as if it were new! We are very pleased with Mr. Leal's work and will surely use his help in the future!

Perfect--I left town, and it was done when I came back. I have used Ferney Leal before (and reviewed them before) and this is just an update to acknowledge/reaffirm their great work. I left my condo key with them, as I trust them fully, and they did great work and cleaned up after themselves. Another great experience.

They worked for about two and a half days. They did a very good job with the work; it was top-rated. Mr. Leal works with his people, so he is ultimately responsible for the work they do. He bought the parts I needed and submitted those parts separately based on the costs, so I didn't pay any overage for the parts. I knew I was paying exactly what it cost him. I went out for several recommendations, and Mr. Leal had the best prices. I told him what I wanted and he did it with no questions asked, I thought that was very nice instead of him trying to tell me what I needed to do like other companies I spoke with. He came to the house before to do the estimation, and he was there for a large part of the work they were doing. He had two people working with him, and he did the more difficult things himself to make sure they came out right. I can't say enough good about him; I would definitely use him again because I can trust him without having to worry about it.

Leal's assistant contacted me immediately to schedule an appointment. It was scheduled a week later and Mr. Leal was on time, and did everything in a timely manner. The work was outstanding. I will be calling again soon! Thanks.

They did a GREAT JOB. They were professional, punctual, their price was competitive and they completed the job on time. Most flooring companies would not take my job because it was too small, but Mr. Leal and his team took on the job and did a better job than I had expected. My house was built in 1931 and needs a lot of handiwork done. I highly recommend Ferney Leal and his team and expect to be working with them again in the future.

Fearney did an excellent job. He was professional and courteous. We had to wait a few weeks, because he has a packed schedule, but it was the worth it. We were thoroughly pleased with the quality of his work.

Mr. Leal arrived on time, and worked steadily the whole day. He is a real craftsmen, and clearly interested in doing a careful job for his customers. We did not discuss replacing the weather stripping in the original quote, but my house is 24 years old, and it clearly needed it.

Had two rooms painted, the dinning room and kitchen, both ceilings and walls. Workers arrived along with owner. Never worked with a more professional group. They spend about an hour correcting cracks in ceilings and making any surface repairs needed without being requested to do so. They moved my heavy hutch and table very carefully. I only had one gallon of wall paint and the owner, Ferney, went to store and got another gallon the exact same match even though a different brand. They were extremely courteous, polite, tidy and proficient in their craft. I highly recommend them.
