The entire process from initial contact to completion was outstanding. Mr. Leal is a true professional. He responded within hours of my inquiry and made himself available right away to take a look at the problem and schedule the repair around my schedule. He confirmed our appointment the day before and showed up on time. He is incredibly meticulous, conscientious, and approached the job with incredible attention to detail. The price was fair and reasonable. He thoroughly cleaned up before leaving. I can't imagine ever finding someone that would do the job as well as Mr. Leal did. He is clearly every experienced and takes extreme pride in his work. We'll absolutely be hiring him again!

He always is professional and does a wonderful job. He initially did my kitchen floor and painted my kitchen. This time he repainted a guest bathroom, did some work in my master shower and laid down a bamboo floor. When the floor I picked was no longer available he went into overtime finding me something that was the same, late at night for him. When that floor came out of the box with issues, he came back and wouldn't stop til it was right. I'd hire him every time.

Mr. Leal and his team did a wonderful job in remodeling my small master bathroom. What was once a dark and grimy room is now bright, clean and modern just as I envisioned. Mr. Leal was incredibly patient with me and answered all of my questions as they arose. He took the time to explain exactly what he needed to do (there was some structural improvements that were required before continuing with the remodel) and always walked me through the options regardless of complexity, time, and cost involved. He and his team left the space tidy at the end of each day and made sure that my neighbors were not inconvenienced, despite the compact alley rear-entrance to my condo. I'm looking forward to my next home improvement project with Mr. Leal!

Handled all very well and for a good price!

Ferney was remarkably responsive, he answered my email inquiry immediately and set an appointment within less than 24 hours of my initial inquiry. He was transparent in his estimate of the work as well as timing. The job, though small, was a tricky one because the walls where I needed things mounted varied in material and the objects being mounted were a bit on the heavy side. The job could not have turned out better and I would definitely hire Ferney again!!

I was quite pleased. Leal's team carefully selected the best board face to be up; aligned the boards and screws with exacting precision, and dealt nicely with the out-of-square nature of the deck frame. The workmanship is on the order of furniture-making quality. They took their time to do it right, and were very pleasant to work with.

He really did a great job. He is honest with the reasonable price and cleaned up after themselves. I am really happy with the job.

He took down some ceilings, one was plaster and boxed in some pipes. He damaged my custom made drapes and said he wouldn't repair it. To do the ceilings we had to take down the drapes, all the window shades match and were custom made. When I went back to inspect it was damaged. I said I've got some of this in the attic and I know the company that made them so I said I can see if they will re make them or take a deduction off the bill. He wouldn't agree and said no "we didn't do it." No one else has been in that room.

Everything was great. Polite, professional, skilled, and efficient. I will definitely hire Ferney again! I contact Ferney on Angieslist message board. His office scheduled his visit and work. Everything went well and I'm very pleased by his work result. Ferney and his partner are very polite, skilled, and efficient. They do professional work. I'm impressed that they spend time to do the job and they enjoy the work and their work result. I highly recommend Ferney.

See my other reviews of contactors, I want what I pay for and I could barely find issues with this man's work. He takes pride and what he does and it shows. Stuff I didn't even ask him to fix- he just went ahead and did (a towel rack in the bathroom that wasn't flush, a chipped kitchen cabinet, a crack in a nearby wall). He asked me to let him know if I find issues and he will come right out and fix it. I will use him again and again, which for me, is the highest compliment I can give. His prices were reasonable, always on time with his crew, exceedingly polite. You can't ask for me!

It went beautifully, truly a Cinderella operation. Ferney worked with us every step of the way, knowing we had to keep a close eye on budget. He was extremely helpful in securing the fixtures, tile, window replacements etc. His approach is always thorough, detailed and knowledgeable. It seems there is nothing he can't do, at a competitive price at that.The crew always arrived punctually and left the work area clean and orderly. We will be doing further work on the next floor soon; Mr. Leal will be the first contractor we call.

I compared his response to two other listed Handyman firms. Obviously he won the work. On time, courteous with effective follow-up and results. A true find in this area!

The job was scheduled a few weeks. out This gave us time to find a suitable new floor tile without too much of a rush. He arrived on time with one other worker and over the next few days they moved my appliances, tore my old floor down to the subfloor. Then they built it back up and tiled it beautifully. Mr. Leal was very polite throughout the entire process, from getting the estimate to finishing the job; and he did an excellent job of keeping us informed of the progress and timeline. Labor costs stayed within the original estimate, except for one additional plumbing issue that needed to be addressed. Material costs were also in the expected range. My wife and I are very happy with his work and professionalism and will keep him in mind for any future jobs.

Excellent! Mr. Leal and Reuben arrived on time and worked diligently to complete all repairs. Mr. Leal was quite patient with me as I was trying to explain all the work in detail. They protected all of my belongings with drop cloths, etc., and carted all construction garbage away. Mr. Leal and Ms. Veragara (in the office) were very, very nice. The price for all the work and materials was quite reasonable. And, although I had to wait a while (because Mr. Leal's schedule was full), he was one of the few handymen/contractors who was prepared to take on this relatively small job for a reasonable cost; and, more importantly, he was not put off by the fact that several areas where work was required were difficult to reach. I definitely would call Mr. Leal again!

Mr. Leal responded quickly to our need. He came to our house to develop an estimate. In the interview, it was clear that he fully understood the challenge. We discussed options to correct the problem that required adding extensive molding . Because, Mr. Leal does his own work and is called frequently by repeat customers, we scheduled that work for mid- July, about 5 weeks in the future. On the stated day, he arrived will one assistant and began to work right away. Four days later, the job was done beautifully. The new molding was installed perfectly, just the way we had desired. Other vendors planned to take short-cuts that would not end up looking so beautiful. While his quote was not the lowest price, it was fair and reasonable and most importantly, planned not take short cuts. Mr Teal is very detailed, has much patience, is highly skilled, listens to his customers desires and has the experience to deliver the desired end result. Finally, he takes care to protect your property and he made sure that everything was cleaned up at the end of the project.

Everything about this operation was smooth and pleasant. I emailed the office and got a quick response with a very convenient time for an estimate. All arrangements were made using Angies List messages, which were easy to access. Mr. Leal was replacing a ceiling fan/light that had been improperly installed for who knows how many years. He was able to handle the quirks of an old house and everything works and looks great. Punctual, great communication, excellent execution--I am very happy to have found him.

Ferney Leal gave an estimate, based on photos, then updated the estimate substantially after he pulled off the exterior board and exposed additional damage. Leal was professional in his dealings, providing written estimates and taking photos of the work as it progressed. He arrived at job site when scheduled. His carpentry work was excellent. He used high quality materials. He located the source of my roof leak and repaired it. He made recommendations (including gutter covers) to avoid future problems. Ferney's assistant on this job was Henry. They performed well as a team.

Ferney is professional, dedicated to perfect results and a pleasure with whom to work.. Communication was excellent throughout the job. The trench had been filled and concrete put on top by the plumbers. The concrete had to be chiseled and sanded in areas before laying the tile to perfectly fit the original tile levels. The new and old tile are joined perfectly -- there is no evidence of any difference between the original tile and the new work. I would enthusiastically recommend Ferney and will certainly call him again for a wide variety of work needed.

Mr. Leal did an excellent job. The dryer vent installation was difficult because the dryer was in the basement, there was duct work in the way, and the area above ground to vent to was underneath a short deck. Mr. Leal spent a few hours carefully measuring and planning the work. He told me where he was going to cut, and then he very quickly, but carefully, cut a hole through the concrete and then connected the hole through the drywall to near the dryer. It was non-trivial work. The previous homeowner had not done it because of the difficulty of the work. I was very happy Mr. Leal could figure out a solution to the problem. I could identify where Mr. Leal cut the drywall, only because his work was so much cleaner than the existing drywall work in the room. Mr. Leal was worried that fixing the broken floor joist would require more access by removing the ceiling directly underneath. Instead, we was able to wedge himself and the joist repair in the narrow work space. This save timed, and additional work. All of Mr. Leal's work was first-rate, and he finished the work early. He thought it would take 3 days, but he was able to complete in two days. I thought the price was a little high for two days, but still felt I received a good value because of the quality of the work. Mr. Leal had people helping him each day, and all the materials were included. I would definitely use him again.

Generally all went well, came on time, did a very good job, was very courteous, answered emails.

Arrived as promised. Built the flooring, using old flooring as model. Sanded, repaired and painted exterior side of wooden door and frame that was badly damaged from years of exposure to weather. . Mr. Leal and his crew were pleasant, professional, industrious. Mr. Leal is a perfectionist and worked until the flooring was perfect; the door was beautifully restored and should now be protected from weather for years to come.

This is the third time I have worked with Mr. Leal, and all I can say is that his service is fantastic in every respect. The work is exacting and of superior quality. He and his team are prompt and VERY professional .
