We cannot praise Ferney Leal and his excellent team more highly. They worked quickly, professionally, and with great care. Mr. Leal was absolutely meticulous in everything he did, and demanded the same of his colleagues. This project, which at its start seemed simple enough, turned out to be far more work than anticipated. When we explained to Mr. Leal what exterior painting was to be done, we used the wrong terminology, stating that we wanted the roof eaves painted. This they did, but then we realized that we should also have included the triangular wood siding under the eaves. Mr. Leal then had his team paint this, too, at no additional cost. He installed the copper weather stripping around the door frame very carefully and exactly, and re-hung the old original door precisely. Because the hardware we had purchased did not have the same configuration as the old hardware, Mr. Leal had to seal the holes in the door made for the old lock and latch and drill new holes. He did this with great care and attention to detail, working at the installation of the lock until it worked smoothly to his complete satisfaction. As agreed, we told Mr. Leal which paint we wanted for the front door, which he then purchased. He primed the door. As it turned out, the paint we had wanted was a new formula, almost a gel, which was difficult to apply and did not dry smoothly. Mr. Leal was dissatisfied with the way the door looked and insisted on purchasing, at his own cost, a new can of much higher quality paint. He then had to re-prime the door and apply two coats of the new paint, on two consecutive days. Our "new" red door looks wonderful. Each time the door was painted, the hardware had to be removed. Mr. Leal would come back each evening to re-install the hardware so that we could lock the door. After the last coat of paint, my husband insisted that we would re-install the hardware, so that Mr. Leal would not have to return again. Unfortunately, a piece of the latch fell out, which then no longer functioned. We called Mr. Leal, he came by that evening, took the damaged piece with him, purchased a replacement and returned the next day to repair the latch, which now works perfectly. Again - Mr. Leal did not ask for additional money. His insistence on doing excellent work and his pride in not leaving a job until it was done to his absolute satisfaction was astounding. Of course, my husband and I insisted on reimbursing him at least in part for his additional expenditures and time, but he did not expect this. We would definitely hire Mr. Leal again, and recommend him without reservation to anyone interested in having even extensive remodeling work done by someone with great expertise and a very strong work ethic..

Mr. Leal and his crew did an excellent job. From the start, he visited my house on a Saturday to look at the basement. He provided a very reasonable estimate. Mr. Leal, I assume is very busy and has other job sites -- thus he was not able to work at the house every day. I attribute this to his excellent references and having a lots of customers. Whenever he could not make it, he would apologize and call me. Mr. Leal would also give me status updates and reports as the work progressed. The final result: While the basement is small, it now looks very modern and I can actually use if for entertaining or as my "man cave". I already have talked to Mr. Leal about the next job that I want him to complete for me in my kitchen.

Mr. Leal was prompt with his callback after my initial outreach and worked with my schedule to find a good time for meeting to assess the issues in my house. He provided an estimate which turned out to be very accurate. He did arrive a little late on the day that he was meant to come, but only by 30 minutes. When he started work, he made very sure that my kitchen and floors were protected. He was very careful with the dishes and glasses in my kitchen and was careful with the microwave after removing it. He and his assistant worked efficiently - they were finished with the dishwasher without me even noticing! Towards the end of the first day of work, Mr. Leal realized that the issue with my bathroom sink wasn't a mere leak but a problem with the faucet itself. He offered, at no charge in parts and labor, to replace the faucet, which he did the next day. The cabinet and attached microwave, it turns out, was never secured to a stud and was almost inevitably going to fall. Mr. Leal showed me all the places where he'd secured the cabinet to the wall and neighboring cabinetry - the job itself was done neatly. I really would suggest Mr. Leal for any handyman or renovations.

Mr. Ferney Leal was a little late but I like that he kept in touch with me to let me know he was in routing area and he was still coming.

This company made two appointments to come to my house to give me an estimate for work. On both occasions, the company cancelled the appointments. When they cancelled for the second time, I told the company representative who called me to cancel that if they did not want the job, they should just tell me. She replied "oh, okay."

Leal was very professional and accurate from setting the first meeting to estimate the work to the point of completing it, on time, within budget.

Despite that I only needed small repairs performed, Ferney was very responsive to my initial email inquiry. He came to my condo that week for a consultation and provided an estimate for his services. Once I was able to secure a part that we needed to fix my blinds, he and an assistant came by to perform the actual repairs. They were both extremely polite and professional. They covered my floors so that they did not get dirty, and cleaned up after each repair. Ferney went above and beyond what I asked (at no extra charge). He noticed that the bracket for my other blind was coming loose, so he fixed that as well. He was true to the initial estimate and we did not haggle over prices. He also did not look for opportunities to create additional work. He completed the job opinion 1.5 hours. I was very happy with this team, and would use them again. I highly recommend Ferney and team.

Very good work, cost a bit more than others, but the quality of the job, punctuality, politeness, and overall experience made it worth the price.

It went very well. Ferney is extremely professional. He always showed up on time, was polite, and cleaned up the work area. He did an excellent job; we are very pleased with his work. If we need any future improvements to our apartment, we will definitely call Ferney. He clearly takes pride in a job well done. He also seems very experienced.

Things went smoothly. Ferney was always responsive and reliable. He was easy to reach via phone and email to answer questions and schedule times to come to the house. He always made certain that I was content with the outcome at the end of each day. Tearing out the previous bathroom flooring ended up being more work than anticipated. But Ferney made sure to get the job done and get it done appropriately. He also hung up our flat screen tv, repatched the drywall and painted the wall the tv is hung on. I trust Ferney and would recommend to others.

Extremely happy. I usually try to tackle most basic household projects with a DIY approach, but we have a weird house and sometimes we just have to call the pros. Ferney did a great job installing our shoe molding. We have lots of weird angles and he had to make a ton of cuts, but the end result is great and very precise. Ferney also helped to adjust a door frame. He was punctual, friendly, and a good communicator as to what exactly his plans were. We will use him again.

I needed to have a door replaced after my son got mad and kicked a hole in the door. I contacted one company on Angies List which will go unnamed since they tried twice and failed to successfully replace the door. I bought a new door and the first time the handyman from this company cut it way too short at the top and along the side. After I complained to the owner, I bought another new door and he sent the same guy back and he still cut the door too short on top and he attached the door knobs on backwards. So I stopped using them. I called another company on Angies list and even paid $90 for their two hour special and they never returned my call. So I called Ferney Leal based on the good reviews he had in Angies list. He returned my call right away. Said he could be there that Saturday to see what needed to be done. He showed up on time that Saturday morning and gave me an estimate after explaining to me and my wife what needed to be done and how best to do install the door. He came out a few days later with a helper and the two of them installed the door within 3 hours. While it took longer than the first guy who tried replacing the door, they took their time to make sure they got the measurments right. "Measure often and cut once." They were very clean and neat, putting down drop clothes where they worked. The door was a perfect fit. I will use Ferney again for any carpentry needs I have.

He was on time when he came to give the estimate and on the day that he did the work. He was very professional, making efforts to be as unobtrusive as possible, and left the work area as clean as he found it. The handrails are functional and look nice also.

Ferney Leal responded quickly to my email request for pricing, and scheduled an appointment 2 days later to both quote and complete the job (if we agreed on price). After Ferney and I discussed the job and he quoted his price, his work crew came inside to get started. They crew were very courteous and covered their shoes before entering. They placed tarps on my floor and furniture before beginning their work. They carefully measured the wall and showed me exactly where the mounting bracket and TV would be placed. They assembled and installed the bracket, and carefully attached the TV to it - requesting my approval along the way. They cleaned up the work area, replaced my furniture and left with a very happy client! He charged $70 less than the retail store, and saved me the 3 week wait time to get it scheduled.

Ferney provided me with an estimate to correct my household issues very quickly and the work was scheduled. Ferney and his assistant, Giovanna began the work by removing any remaining faulty weather stripping, and the transformation started. Ferney came prepared; he brought several types of weather stripping so that the absolute best solution would be achieved. Since the front door leading to the condominium common hallway was uneven and ill-fitting; it required much detail work and thorough, persistent crafting. My front door now closes firmly, silently, and fits so well in the door frame, I no longer notice drafts of cold air or conversation/noise from the common hallway outside my apartment. I purchased a new light fixture for Ferney to install in my kitchen. He and Giovanna removed the old fixture, and installed the new light in my kitchen. Reliable light in the kitchen at last!! Due to the extra large size of the old fixture, Ferney and Giovanna had a large opening/hole in the ceiling to repair. They repaired the drywall and and applied plaster/drywall compound to the area, thoroughly drying the ceiling between applications. During the course of my project, Ferney worked using dropcloths and vacuumed any area that that became dusty. Ferney is most considerate of his customer and is a professional, talented craftsman! I am so pleased with the solutions Ferney provided to me, and I highly recommend his work. I am anxious to schedule the painting of my kitchen ceiling, and will certainly call on Ferney soon!

When we uninstalled the old fan, we found that it was ventilated into the space above the ceiling but not outside. Mr. Leal came in, gave me step by step updates, and fixed the issue. He also replaced 2 HVAC vents in the house that had been installed directly into the drywall. He removed the vents, built wooden frames behind the drywall, repaired the drywall, and now we can remove and replace the vents without worry of them falling out of the ceiling. Mr. Leal did an amazing job, showed me pictures of everything before and after the work so I could see the details, covered furniture to avoid any mess, and left the house as spotless as it was when he arrived. Mr. Leal arrived punctually and on time, charged less than the original estimate, and followed up promptly afterwards. I will definitely call him again.

The downspouts on one side of my house has become detached from gutter system at the roof line. As a result, water would gush down the side of the house in a storm. Additionally, the joint between two pieces of gutter had become detached. Combined, these two water sources were digging a hole right next to my foundation. I needed to correct this situation before I had a flooded basement. Mr. Leal arrived within the quoted time frame. He brought all the appropriate materials and tools, including a 70-foot ladder. He corrected all of my problems within an hour and even addressed an extra problem.

Ferney is more than a handyman. He completed the work I needed him to do on time and he takes pride in his work. Ferney is capable of installing cabinets, re-doing bathrooms, etc. I only know this because he showed me photos of some of his work. If I ever buy a fixer upper, he will be the guy I call!

Mr. Ferney was a pleasure to work with in caulking my windows. He showed up on time for the estimate and the job. He communicated quickly via email to coordinate times and provided a simple estimate via email. His work was high quality and performed in a timely manner. His demeanor was also professional and pleasant. I will definitely call him again.

See above. The whole experience was a disaster. Ferney Leal was unprofessional, rude, unresponsive, and missed deadlines,

Ferney is great, Very down-to-earth and easy to get along with. He came over and looked at everything we needed and sent me an estimate a few days later via email. We scheduled the work, and he came out (with a helper) on time and did everything we asked, and more. He paid a lot of attention to detail and made suggestions that we hadn't thought of. We didn't have to pay until he was all done. We were very happy with everything he did. Our fireplace looks great, and our front flagstone step isn't loose anymore!

Ferney is a little pricier than my previous handyman but his work is top notch. He listened to all my concerns and made all the adjustments I requested. He is very friendly and approachable and made sure to explain everything he was doing. He also went out of his way to get the job done. I have a really old rusted faucet outside and when the handle broke I couldn't repair it. It was so old that standard handles at the hardware store didn't fit. Ferney checked around for several days and then returned to fasten a handle he rigged himself. It works great. I have to praise him for his persistence and for keeping me informed. His crew was great also. I highly recommend Ferney's company. You get what you pay for and Ferney totally delivered. Thanks again!

Ferney Leal responded very quickly to my e-mail solicitation, and within a couple of days came to survey the situation. In addition to the tasks requested, he noticed that the (40 year old) fan switch wasn't quite right, and added replacing it to the job. He sent me an estimate that evening, and we easily arranged a date for the work. On that day he arrived with a helper, a little late because of bad weather and bad traffic. The helper worked steadily all day, and Ferney worked at my house more than half the day. All the work requested was done well, and all the materials needed (the new fan, and the new switch, as well as grout, etc.) were included in the price. At the end of the day, they did a super job of cleaning up. Despite the fact that the fan was working fine when they left, the next day it did not. When we found a mutually agreeable time, Ferney and assistant got the fan problem fixed quickly - just an overtightened mounting screw in the fan grill. A very satisfying experience - I will certainly use Ferney Leal for similar work in the future.
