He arrived on time (in fact, arrived 30 minutes earlier and had to wait for me!) and performed all the tasks within 3 hours. He also fixed a door by simply adjusting the placement of the lock. A previous handyman that came to look at the door said I had to replace the entire door which would have cost me $1500! Therefore, I am very grateful for Mr. Leal because he saved me $1500.

Ferney was able to schedule my closet repair in short order. He came out to complete the repairs despite freezing rain. He worked meticulously to get the job completed in one day, and was very fair in price. I highly recommend.

Ferney and his men stripped off wallpaper, made good and painted the whole area including two new doors plus they put up crown molding. They did a superb job throughout and their pricing was very fair. They kept everything clean, they were punctual and organized and very pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend them.

Mr. Leal was fantastic. He came out for an estimate within a couple days of my initial contact and sent the estimate by email promptly afterwards. Once we selected him for the job, he scheduled the work within a week, and his assistant was very responsive to both emails and phone calls. The day of the project (which involved ripping out and replacing a rotted part of a porch roof in which some squirrels had taken up residence), the work started right on time in the morning and continued diligently well into the evening. Mr. Leal went to great lengths to make sure that the rebuilt portion of the roof matched exactly with the existing portion, even the moldings and trim that aren't easily visible. He then caulked and painted both the new and existing sections, leaving it the best-looking roof on the block. I would (and will) gladly hire Mr. Leal for future projects. He clearly takes great pride in his work, and he makes absolutely sure that you're happy with it.

Though it took several days before Mr. Leal was able to come out and give a quote, once he did it was very quick to schedule the work. Mr. Leal was extremely professional and made sure I knew what was going on at every step. He fixed how my gutter was installed so that it caught the water better. In the bathroom, he showed me where they would remove and explained to me the different options and relative costs (before he submitted the bid). They were very efficient and quick. I called a few weeks later with a concern about the tub tile and he came out and addressed it, but also explained that it really wasn't an issue. I would definitely use him again.

Ferney Leal said they would come to our house on 10/3/2013 between 6:30pm - 7:00pm to provide an estimate for the drywall work. They did not show up at the specified time and did not call us to cancel the appointment. We called them that evening and left a voicemail asking if they were still planning to provide the estimate, and they never called us back. For this lack of communication, I am providing an Overall review of a "C". I would have expected better service and communication for a provider that was ranked so highly on Angie's List.

I emailed a description. He came out within a few days and gave me an estimate. The work was done a few days later and a photo of the work was sent to me. It took 2 men three hours and it cost $280 including parts and labor. My tenant said they were prompt and professional and I did not pay until the work was done. They sent a photo of the work and I paid. I was very happy and will use them again.

Mr. Leal and his staff were very friendly and professional. They cleaned up the worksite every day. The work was completed in a reasonable amount of time. I was very happy

.The project went well. Mr. Leal gave me great ideas and we did a change order because the job was looking so fantastic. If there was any problem it was that I did not include and consider in the cost, the price for the materials; either way Mr. Leal worked with me and did additional work at no cost. He is coming back real soon to refinish my front door. His attention to detail and ability to come back and fix small details made me desire his services again. Finally, even where he could not reach me, his wife Ms. Myrna was very attentive and relayed the message. I highly recommend Mr. Leal.

The work was well done, but the problem was that I would never know when they would show up. For example, an appointment would be set up two weeks in advance and if they were scheduled for 9:30 in the morning, they would show up at 3:00 in the afternoon. Also, they would often call and ask if they could come immediately. Possibly for a large job, they would start and complete in a timely manner, but for our small jobs, they were very unreliable. They started the job back in April, and just now came to get paid.

I've never had a bad experience with Mr. Leal! My screen rooms were badly deteriorated, with disintegrating screens, wood rot, a peeling concrete floor on the lower porch and a wood floor in bad shape on the upper porch. The porches were a "homemade" job from the previous owner, with cheap plastic lattice on the lower half. Mr. Leal's crew had to start a few days later than we had planned because the spring rains had put him behind - but once they started, there were on the job every day for 3 weeks! To keep on schedule Mr. Leal and another crew member came out on MEMORIAL DAY Monday and worked from late morning until past dark! They replaced or repaired rotted wood, meticulously priming, sealing, caulking and painting. Mr. Leal and all of his workers are very detail oriented and they are perfectionists. He keeps in good contact with you at all decision points of the job to make sure you get exactly what you want. Needless to say, the screen rooms are now gorgeous and solid! They sealed and caulked so beautifully, that if rain blows in now, the water puddles in one low corner because everything is so water tight. (I will ask Ferney about drilling a drain hole, but this is testimony as to how well they sealed the wood!) I love how the porches look and they get much more use now.

The crew arrived on time and was meticulous in the detail work performed. The three step process (tile installation, grout, sealant) was professionally performed and finished on schedule. We would highly recommend this provider.

Ferney and Myrna were responsive and punctual. The work stretched over a number of weeks because of a combination of weather delays for exterior work, a lack of a large interior space to prep and paint shutters, and limited interior access due to my work schedule. At first, I thought the price for the shutters was expensive, but as I watched the amount of work involved and the care with which it was done, I realized it was a good value for the money. Ferney worked with me to understand the end result I was looking for and talked to me about different options for addressing the kinds of problems that arise with old houses and eccentric construction. Overall a good value and experience. We wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

I asked the provider to come look at the work that I need to have done. He came, but never gave a quote. I have phoned and left several messages, but he has been unresponsive. He was very nice and I would be open to working with him in the future providing I could count on him to respond to my phone calls/e-mails.

I sent a photo of the work I wanted done, and it took Mr. Leal a full week before he called back to make an appointment for several days out. He was only available in the evenings which is not ideal for me. I initially made an appointment but then decided to select one of the other companies - one that had provided the estimate in a timely fashion.

Ferney and his team did a great job and did high quality work. We felt comfortable having his team come and go while we were at work. We've been really happy with all of his repairs and definitely plan to use him again.

I got 3 estimates. Although Mr. Leal's estimate was almost $1,000.00 more that the other two companies, I decided to hire Mr. Leal because he seemed to have a better grasp of the problem, was clearly more knowledgeable than the other two, and provided a solution to the problem. The other two companies were just going to make cosmetic changes, without determining the source of the leak. Mr. Leal removed the rotten wood around the facia and trim and replaced it with PVC. He scraped, primed and painted the metal roofing of the bay window, and added a seal around the roof of the window to prevent leaks in the future. He also scraped, primed and repainted the entire bay window. My window now looks fabulous and I would definitely use Mr. Leal for any future work needed on my home. Note: Mr. Leal did not do the work himself, one of his employees (whose name I can't remember) did the work. Both Mr. Leal and his worker were timely, professional and courteous. He is definitely worth the money.

We were very happy with the work both times. We felt the work was well done, fairly priced, and completed in a timely manner. Our house looks better than it did when we bought it. We will definitely contact Mr. Leal for future work.

The deck cleaning was OK. The large items were removed, but no detail work was done and I'm still funding little bits under the deck. The attic project went the best. Insulation and floor boards were installed well. The closet system was a disaster! He installed them wrong, and never attempted to fix it, but instead just left a refund check in my mailbox and left. Very disappointing!

Mr. Ferney was on time very neat and clean with this project. What I like about him he did not try to robbe me in fact, he save me money. He had all the right tools what I thought made the job more easily to tackle the project. Yes I WOULD RECOMMEND Mr. Ferney again.

On 1/13/2013 I reached out to this company via Angie's List via the contact link on the page. I had what I believed to be a simple carpentry project and this company was very highly reviewed here. I was e-mailed a reply the following day from an employee (presumably) asking for my complete information, phone, address, etc so they could set up an appointment. I replied back with all the requested information that same day. Three days later on Thursday I received an e-mail asking if they could come by Saturday. Unfortunately I was going to be out that day visiting family. I replied back that the weekend wouldn't work for me. Afterwards, I never heard back from the company again. After a week of no response, I e-mailed them again to inquire if they were still interested in undertaking the project. I never received a reply. I'm not sure what the problem was, but I can verify that I was able to have at least an initial e-mail exchange with them, so I would think my mail wasn't getting caught in some spam folder, so I'm only left to believe that they just decided they didn't want my business and as such couldn't be bothered to respond. Not a very good business tactic if you ask me.

The overall experience was satisfactory. The crew was courteous, on time, and professional, and the work product was excellent.

The job was done very well and the price matched his estimate.

Left Mr. Leal 3 phone messages...2 on his cell and one on his office no. over a 4 to 5 day period and he did NOT return my calls. I explained the problem and left details he requested on voice mail. Nothing from him.

I called and left a detailed message of what I was looking for. Unfortunately almost a week later, I have not received even a return call. I will not attempt to use them again.
