Specializing in custom cabinetry and furniture, I am inspired by the effect a single piece of furniture can make on a room. As a designer and cabinetmaker, the challenge is always creating the perfect marriage of style and utility. Asking the right questions during planning and collaborating with my staff helps deliver a solution that looks like it was always meant to be. Response from Jed Dinger Design
After providing an accurate quote, and receiving approval from the member to move forward on his project, an appointment was scheduled a week in advance to visit the home to take measurements and templates. After creating CAD drawings and preparing the templates for the project, the member cancelled the visit the day prior. No deposit had been made at this time. The stated reason was to solicit other bids. I informed the member that we respect their right to solicit other bids and the decision was made to not move forward in our business relationship. Based on the negative review of our business, we believe that the member is unhappy with our decision not to enter into a contract with them. Every one of our 46 reviews is A rated since we have been included on AngiesList. This would be our first negative review in over four consecutive years of Super Service awards.

Description of Work: We contacted Jed in December about creating a custom entertainment unit and a china cabinet for a brand new townhouse in DC. He responded to my email the same day and we set up a meeting in the model home within a week. Jed was so courteous that he even called when he was going to be held up for 10 minutes by rush-hour traffic on the long haul from Rockville to Capiotl Hill. Jed spent more than an hour with us, listening to our ideas, taking measurements, and showing us pictures of his superb work. This lengthy consultation did not cost us anything and subsequently Jed even proposed a specific design for the entertainment unit. Unfortunately, we are not able to hire Jed now because of an unexpected change in our financial situation. When I informed him of the news he responded with great kindness and professionalism. I am truly sorry that his exceptional work will not grace our new home.
