We were very happy with them. It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. Lawrence did a wonderful job. He was very thorough with his estimate and he kept it exactly to his estimate. He was extremely neat. I had a problem getting there on time and he was very accommodating with that. My neighbors also set up to have their windows done and he was very accommodating with them.

Everything went as stated by shop no issues at all

Laurence and Daniel arrived 30 minutes past window. They did a very professional job and paid attention to detail. They reapplied fresh film to a window after scratching the film.

I felt that $250 was a bit pricey to apply security film to a window area that was 28" x 26". I had already called a number of companies, however, and none were interested in a job that small. There was also a misunderstanding as to the pricing. When I called, I was told that their minimum charge was $249. They could have someone come out and look at the job (in three days). I made the appointment but he was a no-show at the scheduled time. When I called, I was told he was running late and should have called me. He finally arrived 4 hours late. He examined the window and told me he had been scheduled to install the film, not just give an estimate. When I asked what else I could get for my $249 minimum, he told me that the front door window was it. In other words, it wasn't a minimum; it was a flat rate. He also took my email address and said he would email the warranty to me. He didn't. I had to follow up with his office to get it. In short, the quality of the actual work performed was fine, but I would be very careful if I hired this company again to get a better understanding on the "back office" issues.

It went well overall. I was a little disappointed with the outcome, but I'm not sure that it could have been done any differently. We have 2 large paned windows in the garage, and so each window pane had to be done individually. When it was all done, you could see a little gap around each pane, some more than others. I pointed that out to the installer and he explained that it has to be that way because you can't have it go right up to the edge or there would be no place for the water to evaporate from it. I'm assuming it's like that with all windows and it just shows up a lot more with all the panes. I gave them a good rating because everything else about my interaction with them was good--they were responsive, timely and very pleasant to work with. The installation took them quite a bit longer than they had anticipated (2 guys approximately 8-9 hours total rather than 1 guy 4 hours) but they remained polite and professional throughout the whole day. I guess my only thought is that I would have liked to have had more of an idea of how it would look after completion--I might have decided to go with a lighter colored film so that there was not so much contrast around the edges. I would not hesitate to recommend them, but would caution anyone before installing a darker film on lots of panes like that.

first, i called the company and set up a time for someone to come give me an estimate on the work to be done. it was set for a morning between 8-9 am. i called the company when no one showed up after waiting until 9:20am. after talking to the owner, he came to give me an estimate at 9:45am but i had to rush him because i had already made plans and had to leave the house in a few minutes. he was very nice though and did apologize, but it would be more professional to give a customer a call if you are going to be late especially since that is the whole point of setting an appointment time so you don't waste someone's time.after getting the estimate, i set up an appointment for the work to be done. he was quick and efficient, and did a very nice job on all of the windows.he even did some additional windows that had not been planned for. overall, i am happy that i went with this company. the owner is who came and did the work . he was very nice and knowledgeable, and has many different options to offer. i would use this company again if i ever needed more window tinting.

I called Interior Guards Window Tinting (IGWT) and found a full voice-mail box. However, shortly after I made the call a Laurence Striedel called back saying he missed my call. I explained that I was looking for an estimate to tint 21 windows in my home but wasn't sure IGWT serviced my area in Southern Maryland. Mr. Striedel said he would service my area from Rockville but would have to charge me a $25 travel fee. I accepted this condition and scheduled him to visit my home on May 24, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. The appointed date and hour came and went without a word from Mr. Striedel. Around 12:30 p.m. I called and left a voice mail for Mr. Striedel, asking if he was going to show up. Shortly after that call I attempted to leave another voice mail for Mr. Striedel but found a full voice-mail box. Neither Mr. Striedel nor anyone else from IGWT has had the courtesy to call me and explain why they did show up for the scheduled appointment to give me an estimate for the job.

ALL WORK WAS PERFORMED IN TIMELY MANNER. THEY CALLED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AND SHOWED UP ON TIME. THEY WERE COURTEOUS AND VERY CLEAN. I HAVE RECOMMENDED TO OTHERS.
