+ -1 moreI had a great experience with Jim. He was very professional, clearly knew his stuff, gave a reasonable quote and completed the work quickly. He also spent extra time fixing an electrical issue in the house, going beyond my expectations to determine the cause and fix it. Would definitely use HDL again.
Description of Work: Repaired bathroom tile, installed ceiling fan and light switches, fixed another electrical issue in the house, installed a new dryer vent route

+ 6 moreVery punctual and very professional at all times. Following the hurricane, I called HDL Contracting and they were available immediately to evaluate the damage and inform us of what needed to be taken care of immediately. I would recommend this contractor without hesitation.
Description of Work: Replaced all shingles on half of the roof of our house; repairs (drywall; siding, painting, etc.) to our master bedroom suite due to serious wind driven water damage; major repairs to our picket fence...all damages due to hurricane damage. Also replaced outer double sliding door with a new one repairing damages due to wind driven rain. Has replaced many light fixtures both inside and outside.

+ 0 moreJim is an excellent contractor. He did everything by the book, followed all local codes and had inspections done. I had no surprises on the estimate, he included everything in his quote. This was nice since other guys I have worked with always seem to ask for more money during the project. JIm also made good suggestions on ways to make the deck better. At the end of every day the work site was clean.
Description of Work: Built a 20' x 13 ' elevated deck.

+ 2 moreIn addition to the above services, he was extremely responsive and knowledgeable. He supervised workers, working late at night in order to meet my time table. I only had one week to get townhouse ready for the market. Jim is dependable, reliable, and his charges are fair. I would definitely call on him again.
Description of Work: Painting interior walls, trim, and ceilings in selected rooms of townhouse, removed old kitchen counter, and reconnected appliances after conter is installed by Home Depot, moved 2 vent pipes in attic, replaced bathroom door, replaced light fixtures, reinstalled bifold closet door, hung mirrors, replaced vent fan in bathroom.
