Description of Work: The repairman came out the first time and I thought the repair was fixed..One day later the ice maker stopped again...When he returned the cost of the repair was $360.00...I looked up the part on Amazon and it was $110...I chose not to fix because I felt the repair was too costly...

Description of Work: Adrian Loughlin was courteous and generous with his advice, which included not paying him to fix our dryer, but finding a new one from a dealer of our choice, and not having him replace both heating elements in our water heater, but just the one that no longer functioned well. He is a good and a very honest person.

Description of Work: The repairmen came and did an assessment on my Maytag washer. The computer board was not functioning and the washer could not be fixed without spending a lot of money. We paid for the evaluation. It cost $80.00. I had to buy a new washer.

Description of Work: We have an old built-in fridge + it stopped cooling. For aesthetic reasons, we didn't want to buy a new fridge. So we called Adrian at FactorAppliance, and in the end, we were very happy with the service he provided. He is a good communicator (e-mail, phone, and in person) + was reliable + seemed to have a lot of professional integrity. The fix was complicated, but Adrian approached it in a very logical + systematic way, and eventually figured it out. The repairs were not cheap, but that's because several critical elements of the fridge needed to be replaced. Adrian's pricing struck us as fair.

Description of Work: He showed me that the fan wasn't working because it was blocked with ice/frost. I just needed to leave it off for a day or two, and now it is as good as new. He just charged me the minimum for coming to my house.

But it seemed fairly reasonable, although I really have no basis. With regard to punctuality, I have no idea, because I wasn’t there as it’s a rental property.
Description of Work: I used Factor Appliance for a refrigerator repair at a rental property. They replaced a gasket on the refrigerator. They also looked at a gas oven.

+ -1 moreAdrian of Factor Appliance has become my go-to provider for appliance repairs. I will never again wait in a 6 - 8 hour window for a large corporation's employee to arrive, only to have them tell me they don't have the right material, tool or piece to complete the job and will need to return at another date; or conduct a simple repair that only takes 5 minutes, but charge $150 because "that's the minimum fare". Adrian was not only efficient, he solved a problem that was plaguing my W/D for weeks and also solved an even larger problem that others claimed was usual (my dryer seemed to kick out a lot of lint) and the manufacturer's employee said that was normal. When Adrian got in and physically moved the unit, he saw the exhaust wasn't secure and lint was escaping. In addition to his expertise, his helpful and friendly nature made the entire experience enjoyable - which is far from typical. He is reasonably price, explains everything he's going to do before he does it and gives an estimate (both money and time) upfront. Go with Adrian - you won't regret it!

+ -1 moreAdrian Laughlin has been helping me figure out what is wrong with my refrigerator. I don't know him that well, but he figured it out when other people couldn't. He was very pleasant to have in my home. I totally felt comfortable and I just felt like I would call him again. The other people came and could not figure out what was wrong, but he figured out what was wrong. It was actually part of warranty and I'm not really sure what that would have cost me. He was very personable and did something that other people couldn't do. Nobody else knew what was wrong with my refrigerator.
