We found Eire Plumbing through an Angie's List Deal. Robert called the same day as our purchase and came out the next day. He was professional, courteous, clean and he replaced the defective pipe rapidly. We were very impressed and we will probably call him first the next time we need plumbing service.

Rob was responsive to messages, arrived promptly and did a nice job with the installation. A final check showed that the first tank installed was leaking. He called the factory rep, and then a number of suppliers in order to find a replacement and then went to get it and installed the same day. Long day for him, but earned my appreciation for his professionalism and dedication so we weren't left without hot water.

Needed to replace our 18 year old hot water heater. Requested a few estimates via Angie's list and other providers. Rob was very easy to work with, quickly responsive to all questions about the available products and the process, and reasonably/competitively priced. The location of the heater was a bit challenging and we worked with Rob to identify a heater that would fit best and still have the same efficiency and other specifications we were looking for. The work went very smoothly and we are very happy with the outcome. Highly recommend Eire and Rob.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had with a service professional. He was responsive to all communication, worked with me remotely. He was honest and offered further recommendations. We weren’t even sure it was a plumbing problem but he was willing to come investigate and ended up solving the problem. I would recommend his services to anyone without a doubt and will keep his information handy for future services.

Rob was awesome—responded to my inquiry within the hour, gave me an estimate over the phone and using pictures I texted to him, and was able to order the special tank we needed and install the very next day. His prices were reasonable, and he was just a good guy...which means a lot to us. We have found our new plumber and would 100% recommend.

Rob was pleasant and responsive in setting up the appointment, and arrived within the promised time frame. He evaluated the layout of our kitchen and existing water lines and came up with an effective way to run a line to the fridge that would give us access to a shutoff valve as well as flexibility should we ever decide ide to finish the basement room below. For the hose bib, he attempted the simplest repair but it was too rusted out, so he replaced the entire hose bib. He also replaced the valve leading to it, as the old one was corroded and had some seepage. Lastly, he was kind enough to remove a faulty, stuck-on regulator from our gas grill. Excellent work, great experience, highly recommended. Thank you, Rob!

Used him in 2015, not happy - so much so that I remember it in 2018 and finally get a review out. Bought a $99 coupon and then paid hundreds more. The coupon is just a ruse to rope you in. He's a one-man band, so when he was working on another customer's problem, he could only come the next day. Then had to order parts and insisted that he could not use hardware store parts, but had to get custom parts. That took over a week to get. Meanwhile our leaky toilet was shut off. I gasped when I saw the bill and asked him to break out parts vs. labor. "I don't do that" was the answer. So he just charges whatever he wants. Since my husband was in the hospital and I was handling things, wondering if he thought a woman wouldn't know better. My husband was going to call him on it, but was so sick he never did. We understand that sometimes parts have to be ordered, and sometimes things are more complex than initially assumed, but in this case, felt taken. We paid hundreds of Dollars.UPDATE:after seeing the response from the provider: He states: “The customer asked for me to break down every nut, bolt, washer and screw used in the job which I stated I do not do I then explained to her the break down of the charges. “ That is incorrect. All I asked was how much was for labor and how much for parts. He said “I don’t do that kind of breakdown.” And that is the reason we will not use him again, because we thought that was a perfectly reasonable request.

Response from Eire Plumbing
It was explained to the customer from the initial phone call that the coupon included the Service Call and the first 30 minutes only, anything above and beyond including materials are an additional charge, which she agreed and scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival the toilet was turned Off at the shut off valve below. I turned the water back on to diagnose what the issue was. The toilet needed several parts which one of the parts is a special order part that I do not stock on the truck. No hardware store carries this part and no generic part is made for this toilet. I then turned the valve to the toilet back off, the way I found it. I explained to both the husband and wife (who were both present), the situation in which I would have to come back for a second trip once the part arrived. I advised the customer that the part is expensive and I would call to inform them of the price, as well as the pricing for shipping and an estimate of labor prior to ordering. I did contact the customer and provide the information and was told to go ahead and place the order. On my first visit, the wife also had me check the master bathroom toilet and few other things prior to leaving to which i obliged. I ordered the part and once it was here I scheduled with the customer for the return trip. I installed all the parts needed for the repair and the toilet was up and running perfectly. I wrote up the invoice for both trips and the materials/parts used plus shipping on the one special order part. The customer asked for me to break down every nut, bolt, washer and screw used in the job which I stated I do not do I then explained to her the break down of the charges. The customer didn't seem confused or upset with the charges and had the husband take a quick look at the invoice while he was on the phone in the dinning room. The customer then wrote a check for the total amount. I left and that concluded the call for service and the repair. I did receive a phone call from the husband a week or two later, and he left a message on voice mail. I called him back several times but told me he was to busy to talk to me each time I called. I never heard from either the husband or wife again. I try to be as clear as possible on charges and costs with my customers up front so there is no confusion or misunderstanding. I try to provide the best service possible with a smile to each of my customers, every time.

Rob was great. Both professional and friendly service. He gave honest advice came in and got the job taken care of in about an hour. He also let me know that the time slot we have planned for slipped, which I really appreciated because it allowed me to stay at work the extra couple hours and not be waiting at home for him to arrive.

This is our third time hiring Rob. We previously hired Rob to replace a busted main line shut off valve and install a new hot water tank. His service and craftsmanship were excellent on our previous two experiences, and thus when a total shut off valve to our basement toilet sprung a leak we didn't hesitate to call Rob. He scheduled everything by email, showed up on the day off and took care of business. Rob really values his customer relationships, and he wants to help his customers take good care of their plumbing systems. When he sees an issue, he brings us over to it and tells us whats going on and how we can avoid it in the future. I will definitely continue to hire Rob for all of our plumbing needs in the future, and I will refer him to friends and family without hesitation. On a totally separate note, during the cold snaps of the 2017/2018 winter, we called Rob about a frozen pipe. He walked us through the issue over the phone and told us to call him if we detected any problems once it thawed. He spent 15 minutes talking to us on a very busy day for plumbers, and didn't charge us a penny. That's customer service that is hard to find!

Rob is legit and lives up to his billing as a master plumber. He gave a professional diagnosis, kept me informed of his actions along the way, and gave me the larger context about the faucet's being set up in a flawed way. However, he did not insist on replacing the entire system, which would have costed more than $2K. I appreciated his ability to work within my more limited budget and still get the most important problem fixed. In other words, he really helped us out.
Description of Work: Rob restored the water pressure in a shower/faucet by replacing a component that had become jammed with debris. He also swapped out a pipe and shower head in a separate bathroom.

Plumber was at my house for almost 5 hours, and worked straight thru except for a half hour lunch break which he took in his truck. He was personable and knowledgeable and the repairs appear to be solid (time will tell, as I won't be using the outside spigots until next Spring). HOWEVER, the overall charge was $925. Although the invoice did not break anything down by labor/parts, that comes to about $185/hr, which I believe is very high for the work performed. The reason I would not hire Eire again, however, has less to do with the cost (which I admit is "a" factor) than the fact that I was told I would need to buy an access panel to put over the hole that he cut in my wall, and the fact that he left the insulation hanging off the wall in my garage. For $925, it would seem an access panel could have been provided, as well as clean up.

Rob was excellent. We just bought a house and during our inspection we identified a leak in the main water valve. Our home inspector told us to hire a plumber to replace it as soon as we could, and to get someone who would use the same type of piping we had throughout the house (copper). I contacted several vendors on Angie's List and Rob stood out among them all. He fit the bill for the repairs, and provided a fair price for his work. He showed up on time, and worked diligently to complete the task. Rob's craftsmanship was excellent. Everything works smoothly, and the replaced parts are of top quality. While on the job, Rob also spotted some additional issues with our water heater that we need corrected. I asked him for a quote for his services, and shopped around for other quotes. His quote was helpful and incisive, as he provided us with information on the type of heater unit he would supply and provided us with options. We shopped around for quotes on water heater replacements, and ultimately decided to hire Rob again based upon his professionalism. His quote stood out as offering a superior water heater (do your research on size, life span, and BTUs for a heater). We trust he will do an excellent job.
