Rip off. First off the man asked me twice if my husband was coming home. Probably to get a feel for how much he could rip me off. Then he called me babe twice. There were so many hidden fees and charges that my bill was 450 more than quoted. they charge 5$ for a roll of tape and re-tape all your boxes unnecessarily using at least 6 rolls. they wrapped tape around and around my mattresses. Why? so they could charge me for tape. Did they think the mattresses would fall apart? Then after wrapping the mattresses with tape they wrapped them in plastic and charged me 25$ per mattress and would not move them without wrapping. That was not on the quote when they knew I had 6 mattresses. They charged me for boxes when I supplied all the boxes. They would not unpack the truck until I paid them the ridiculous extra fees and there was NO one to call. So it was pay or they would leave with my belongings. When I called to complain and get some sort of refund at least for the boxes I supplied, they were rude and basically told me and quot;tuff luckand quot;. I could not believe how they took advantage of me and my daughter. Please do not use these people. I wrote letter after letter and never received one phone call back or an apology for the unprofessional sexist treatment I received. . I paid almost as much for this move as I did a previous move with twice as much stuff and over an hour away.

I've Hired Econo Van Lines to move my belonging from a 2 bedroom apartment in Rockville MD to a single family house in Clarksburg MD on February 10. The company sent an estimator to give me an estimate for the move, the move total was very close to the estimated price. The crew came on time, helped me pack the kitchen which I wasn't able to pack my self. Wrapped all my furniture and moved everything safely and professionally. Thank you guys, will use you again next time!

It was just like the other people had say that they give you a verbal quote and then when they got there, it was tremendously more than was originally quoted. You have no other choice but to take it. That's the way it went. The original quote was 1100$. They were really nice guy and they went out on their way. I think what the problem is you estimate what you think you have but it cost you twice of the price. He knows he's right but the bottom line is I'm not really sure how you would be accurate from the estimate anyway.

Quote was given by a sales person and information in writing specifically stated no hidden fees. When movers arrived, lead moving man explained that 'sales department' does not explain all fees. They charge $5 per roll of tape - rolls that are very small and movers each carry a case of tape. They unnecessarily re-taped many boxes and used excessive amount of tape around furniture pads and boxes. When we arrived at destination, movers presented a bill for additional $105 - for tape - stating they could not unload furniture until it was paid. If you want your furniture unloaded, you are then forced to pay the additional tape charge. I had purchased a 6 pack of packing tape rolls for $4.99 that were 5 times the size of the tape rolls they use so this was definitely a deliberate hidden cost.
Other than tape charges, the men were professional, hard working and careful with furniture/boxes - nothing was damaged or broken. I contacted manager to discuss excessive tape usage and charges the following week and he explained re-taping boxes is their policy as well as they are trained to tape everything. He credited $50 back to me when I stated I was posting this experience on their review.
