Richard was extremely professional from set up to clean up. I had no idea how extensive the job was with the cutting of the jagged corners, to the bracing of the drywall, to the taping and blending and smoothing of the mud. My wife was right....I would have botched this if I had tried it myself. The patches were dried, primed, and painted. When he was done, you could not even tell that there had been a patch applied. You get what you pay for and I would definitely hire Richard again for any drywall related work.

We selected Dimensions Unlimited based on the recommendations from Angles List AND a recommendation from a co-worker who had recently completed a renovation. Richard is the owner of the company and does the majority of work himself. For background we had a 1000 square foot basement that was cinder block and concrete floor when we bought it. Once we got to the point in the reno that we were ready for drywall we started searching for a good firm. Dimensions Unlimited was the only one that even came close to being able to tackle this job as there were multiple angles and odd corners to be addressed. Richard was prompt in returning my call to request a quote, he came right out and within two days provided the quote as we requested. We settled on his firm and the work began within three weeks. (We were a little slow in getting the final framing done and it delayed the job a bit). The drywall was installed using the glue and screw method. I was originally against this idea because it meant the insulation had to be fixed to the inside of the wood vice on the outside, which is easier. Richard explained the reason he uses the double installation is to ensure the walls are smooth with no wave. I took the extra time to put the insulation in the way requested and have to agree it was worth it. There is not a single wave in the walls, it looks exactly like it's supposed to - new construction in a 1950's house. Every corner and angle is perfect - this is not a single blemish in the entire job. I was dreading when the sanding would began because we've been through this before and have had to bring in cleaning crews after. I didn't have to do anything other than normal cleaning when the job was finished. Every day he would clean up after himself and leave the job site clean. Richard recommended we use a certain brand of primer and paint (Sherwin Williams) and we decided to go with it even though we generally use Behr. I recommend following his advice when given, the finished work is amazing and I really am going to cry when I hang the first picture because I don't want to put a single hole in the walls. He arrived promptly everyday and was quite pleasant to interact with. Richard is truly an artist when it comes to drywall and we are already planning on asking him to come back and drywall a bathroom that is next on the list for renovation.

We recently had new recess lighting installed throughout our home, and there were 15+ large drywall patches that needed to be done in our basement and kitchen. To make things a little more complicated, the ceiling in our basement is textured. Richard came out to our home and gave us an estimate on how much it it would cost to patch all of the holes, and add texture to the new drywall patches he was installing. Basically, he would get our basement and kitchen ready to be painted and primed. Richard showed up on time, and did immaculate work, especially with the textured ceiling in our basement. I would highly recommend using Richard for any drywall work, and will definitely use him for future projects. He is very pleasant to work with, and his work is top-notch.

Richard, the owner of Dimensions Unlimited Drywall Inc, was a welcome refreshment from the typical contractor. He was always early (every single time: estimate appointment day, stocking/delivery day, & 3 work days). The speed and ease of communication with him was awesome. He would answer e-mails within a day and responded to txt messages and phone calls in a matter of hours. All of this, however, is just gravy on top of the excellent work that Richard did. The work required NUMEROUS complicated drywall cuts at compound angles. All of the work looks fantastic. The inside corner beads in the tray ceiling and in the vaulted octagon were very straight and where the framing wasn't perfect Richard built the bead up with joint compound to straighten the beads. There were areas where numerous seams came together and the finish in those areas is perfect, the lines are very straight and do not waver like I have seen many lesser skilled jobs. I would recommend Richard to anyone but especially to anyone who has a complicated drywall job.

He arrived on time and worked without stopping. He first surrounded the entire area w/plastic to prevent dust from going all over the house. His work is impeccable. I've had other drywallers and this man was amazing. There was very, very little dust. The walls are now perfect. I am about to hire him again.

Mr. Demers did an excellent job of repairing drywall and painting. I could not even detect the previous holes afterward. He was extremely neat, cleaning up carefully after the job. In addition, he was prompt (arrived at 7 AM as he had advised, reliable, and personable.(He had done previous work repairing a ceiling and was equally commendable.)
