Very professional, before the actual move. During, items were dragged on concrete instead of picked up and the lead mover damaged a sconce at our new house. One of the crew was smoking pot in the breezeway. They left trash all over from the water bottles we gave them and the lunch we provided to them. Customer service is non existent, the national emails get answered and referred locally, which goes nowhere. Apparently they only respond to reviews. Those things aside, one of the movers made my wife uncomfortable. She waited until the end of the move to tell me. She said he kept touching her shoulders, and while I had seen it she can take care of herself. She was asking if we should tip the full amount because she had been made uncomfortable. We ended up tipping generously because it was a hot day, but when she brought it to Maxwells attention (the crew leader) he immediately said "thats not how he comes across" and tried to gaslight her that nothing like that could have happened. The guy in question was smoking weed on the job, touching my wife each time he passed her. Additionally, the crew member informed this guy afterwards and he came back to the house - not to apologize, but to confront her and call her a liar. That night I texted the crew lead, and asked him if he could check the truck because I was having trouble finding a box. His response, copied from the text: >I can't check the back of the truck because I'm home already but even if I could no because I asked for you and your wife to check the back of the truck. Plus your wife said that my coworker was inappropriate and she's lying Avoiding getting into the heresay, this is beyond unprofessional. I reached out to customer service about the sconce, and about the behavior of the crew. They 'forwarded' the claim to the local office. I followed up two weeks later, and they again forwarded it to the local office. Apparently bad reviews are the only way to get their attention. Learn from my mistake, use a different company. We were quoted between 1400 and 1900 for 5-7 hours of work. The crew took regular, long breaks. We ended up paying over 2k for the total, to move a 2bd apt w/o appliances about 40 miles...and when they opened the back of the truck nothing was secured and stuff was laying all over the place. Would not recommend. They owe me money for the sconce, inappropriately touched my wife, they called both me and my wife liars, and were all around unprofessional. This was the gaithersburg/rockville location.

When I initially called to book the appointment, I was told that it started at 1/8 of the truck for 160 The size of four refrigerators I asked him to repeat the size multiple times When the guys actually arrived, they gave me a quote. They took no measurements of anything. No size was adjusted to see anything. They literally looked at everything gave me a price. I told them oh no you are only taking the stuff in this corner of my back porch the small corner Then proceeded to break everything down So that it could literally fit into one kitchen trashcan, and a tall mop bucket The price I was quoted when they initially came for everything was 379 That price was including this huge full-size futon that I had that they did not end up taking They ended up taking a small chair, one of those shelves that go behind your toilet a microwave one of those toy, plastic washing machines and a fully broken down bed frame an end table and two tall kitchen, trash cans, like regular trash cans I was still charged the exact same price that he initially gave me which included this huge futon A big jump from the 150 and then when you go on the website, the truck that they have on their website does not match the truck that was used There was no way to tell how much actual space was used And when I told them that I would need a confirmation on the size that was actually used because them charging me the exact same price is if they had taken this huge futon without taking the futon was ridiculous if I was quoted 150 for the volume of refrigerators Thereâ s no way the stuff that was fitting in one corner of my back porch was the size of four refrigerators No, if the price had gone up another hundred dollars from what I was quoted and been at 2:50 260 that would have been doable but the fact that it was $380 After they had already got everything on the truck when he said the price instantly I felt the bad feeling in the pit of my stomach like oh they are scamming me And since Ive had this done every time, I mention all I use college hunks everyones like oh yeah, they be scamming with their pricing They are literally showing you a print off of a website of a truck that is not the truck that they are using. There is no way to know exactly how much space was used, and these are also franchise businesses closed when I called the place back the actual local branch it was a Google voice number. My advice would be to record the initial phone call that you have when they give you the quote and the volume of size record the interaction when they come to your house and then go take a picture of the truck once everything is on it and ask them to show you exactly how much space is used Because they will definitely get over you and you will end up paying a lot!!!!!!

Absolutely great guys! I would have left 5 stars but it would only let me leave 4 1/2! I have used these guys a few times now. Every time they have all been super nice, careful and accommodating. I’m about to call them today for my 4th time, that should say it all.

They had a good attitude (for the most part). That is where the positive review ends. I had a few boxes labeled 'Top box. Do NOT stack on top of this' on the top and all four sides. I also instructed them to look for the 'top boxes'. I was stationed in the house and would point out the 'top boxes' . My sister was stationed outside with the truck and would again point out any 'top boxes' - the man running point for loading boxes seemed put out every time my sister pointed out the 'top boxes'. When it came time to unload many states away, we discovered many of the 'top boxes' had 6-7 boxes stacked on top of them. They broke my kitchen aid mixer. Because I am unloading into a storage unit, I don't have the option to go through everything to check for other damage. The kitchen aid was in a box that was rigged to fit it, so the weight of the 6 boxes on top was resting directly on the top of the appliance. They also advised me to return the 20 ft uhaul I rented and get a 26 ft. 1/3 of the 26 ft truck was empty, so there was no excuse for what they did. The movers blatantly and wilfully disregarded instructions resulting in damaged property.

A little pricy, but got the job done

VERY IMPORTANT, MUST READ If you are considering choosing them as your movers see below for my experience a week ago: 1. They showed up 2 hours late from their arrival window 2. They sent 2 movers, 1 of which was physically unable to do the job. They asked me to help with their job! I loaded about a third of my own furniture out of necessity. 3. They could not finish the job in one day, which they estimated 3.75 hours to complete. They took my belongings and held it overnight to finish the job the next day. 4. When they arrived the next day, half of my furniture was destroyed (over $5000 in damages). 5. They tried to charge me for additional service hours when they showed up late and sent staff that couldn't perform their duties. When I refused to pay the additional charges, they called the police on me! A civil claim was filed. 6. I filed a liability claim for the damages they caused, and no one has responded. It's been over 15 days! SUMMARY: if you want to overpay to wait around to move your own items and have them destroyed, this is the place to call. Stay far far away. Place your trust with any other moving company. 0 stars. Note: Their service line is completely disconnected from the local branch. It is impossible to reach the local branch as you will be sent in an infinite loop of trying to get a hold of someone. Their sales line is super friendly and professional, but don't be fooled. Everything after the initial scheduling/ work order, it is done through the local branch. The local branch is all around incompetent. This is their exact response whenever you have a question or issue: "the local branch is locally owned and operated so they will reach out to you." Don't hold your breathe, cause a call will never come.

They were prompt, loaded everything up and were wonderful to deal with. My junk is gone!!! Thank you, College Hunks

They came with a half-full load on the truck and told me 350 to remove items that I know they kept for themselves and charged me by how full the hitch that they had connected to a pickup truck was. They already had items on the truck and still, charge me 350 and then had the nerve to tell me he could have charged me more. They got over. My neighbor walked up and asked if he could put an item on the trashed truck and of course he said yes for free. Talk about a slap in the face not what I was expecting they ended with quite a few things of value I am sure they kept for themselves. I would never recommend the 2 guys that came to my house.

They we fast, efficient , and professional.

We will NEVER use College Hunks again! My husband specially asked if they could move a refrigerator and we were told yes. When they came they did not have an appliance hand truck, nor did they have the tools to remove the doors and hinges. My husband had to lend them some of his own tools! After delivery, what should have taken 1 to 1 1/2 hours took 3 hours because of their inexperience.Then they did not know how to move the fridge the correct way. Upon arrival set up the fridge no longer works!!!! Now we had to buy a new fridge because of THEM and we only received $200 for the old one which worked PERFECTLY before they destroyed it ; we did not get ANY $ back from the move! When questioned my husband was told the $200 was the amount to be paid because my husband only signed for the basic insurance. Ummm the College Hunks should have insurance.. why do WE need insurance?!? They are the ones who destroyed it.. not us! So in moving our fridge it has cost us $1700 for a NEW fridge plus the cost paid for them to move it , we are getting ONLY reimbursed $200 for what THEY destroyed! BEWARE of using this company!!! They SUCK & I am living

Great service. They showed up on time called a half hour in advance to let me know they were on their way. Clean out everything I needed quickly and it was cheaper than expected.

Our experience was not great. We were hiring two men to load up our UHaul (one-bedroom apartment). That was it - just load our prepacked boxes and furniture onto the truck. First, on the phone, we were told that they would supply all moving equipment - including moving blankets. Did we ask multiple times to clarify - free blankets for just loading? And we were told yes. Day of the move, they say actually, it is $25-90 per blanket and they have no idea why we were told otherwise. So we had to run out and rent moving blankets (10 for a dozen instead of $300) so that they could pack our furniture. We also only had our moving dock for 3 hours, so we requested that they come at 8:30 - the moving window was 8-9 - and the person on the phone assured me that they could do that... they were 30 min late arriving and then had to find a place to park their giant truck. And then they went over the time we had our moving elevator by about an hour. The guys were pretty slow - one was texting on his phone a lot. Cost me about $600 for mediocre service - I wished I had gone with someone else. At least they showed up though, which is not what I can say for the College Hunks at the other end of our move. Disappointed and feel ripped off.

I couldn’t have asked for a better team. They were polite, respectful and efficient. One minute my garage was unusable and a couple hours later my car was parked in it. They did an excellent job.

Great Company.

The minimum haul charge is $160 regardless of amount of subject hauling. Costing is base on the labor or number of haulers on the truck. Three men hauled away some yard debris that cost $160 and it took no more than 15 minutes.

The two men were very professional, efficient and effective. The cost was high, but competitive with other franchise junk haulers.
