About us

Please note: I ONLY INSTALL ITEMS I PROVIDE. I am a one man shop and specialize in residential plumbing, new and old. I pride myself in providing outstanding customer service and am a 10 year Super Service Award winner with Angie's List. I believe in growing business one client at a time and exceeding each client's expectations in the process. I have no desire to "get big" and have lots of employees or subcontractors. I actually like plumbing hands on and love interacting with my customers personally. The way I do business has been heavily influenced by the Master Plumber who mentored me. His motto was: "Always treat your customers in such a way that if you run into them at a grocery store, they will be happy to shake your hand and not duck between aisles." I continuously study new systems and green efforts as well as bringing some level of "normalcy" to a field that is dominated by "belly scratching Joe Bobs". I am a professional who uses modern technologies to make my customers' lives easier and values customers' time as much as my own. I believe in not wasting and always look for ways to keep the bill for my customers reasonable. This includes estimates; if a customer would like pricing in advance I don't have to drive out to look and charge for it, instead I can usually provide pricing over email with the use of just a couple of pictures. I use iPhone and iPad and can answer email faster than voice mail. I also use iPad for all invoicing, eliminating waste of paper. Please note: I only install fixtures I provide as it is the only way I can provide you with a full warranty.

Description of Work: Put new cartridge in tub faucet to stop leaking. Would not let me buy new faucets. Said he has to buy what is used because I might get cheap faucets. His charge was ridiculously high. I can't remember how much it has been so long ago. But I do remember that you can't buy products you want to use because he won't install them. AND I remember his price was absurd it was so high.

I am baffled by this review because this member left me a glowing review across the board including price for this very and only job I did for her, 2 years and 2 months ago. I have had no contact with her since and do not know what may have changed her opinion of me so dramatically in that time. In any case, I am sorry to hear this member was not satisfied with my pricing. The work was conducted over 2 visits: the first on 2/19/2014 and the second on 2/20/2014. The first visit was to diagnose problems, the second was to replace 2 cartridges in the roman tub faucet ($180) and clearing debris from shower head ($30) as well looking at additional plumbing fixtures (no charge), -$20 Angie’s List coupon for a total of $190. I still feel that $190 for two visits by a Master Plumber is more than fair. I let the customer know what the costs would be during the first visit so that she had ample time to consider whether to go with me or someone else. I would rather not get a job than have an unhappy customer. As far as me only installing fixtures I provide: it is spot on and I stand by my decision. I have it posted on my Angie’s List profile and am always upfront about it. I believe part of my job is to guide my customers to a quality solution at a reasonable price vs the absolute cheapest price, which may fail within a year or so. Also, when you get your own fixtures you have warranty on it from the place you got it but you only get warranty from a plumber on labor. If something goes wrong with the fixture you can get a replacement from the place of origin but you would need to pay a plumber additional fee to fix or replace. I choose not to conduct business in this manner, as I like to take full responsibility for everything (labor and parts). I wish the member luck in finding a plumber that fits her needs. Thank you.

Description of Work: I discovered a leak in my kitchen, but couldn't determine the source. Mark came out and made an educated guess that it was coming from the feeder pipes that led to both upstairs bathrooms. He replaced part of the pipe and that solved it. Now I just have to fix the wall! Mark is terrific. Always right on time and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend him.

Description of Work: Mark replaced three toilets, a pedestal sink and fixed an outside faucet. I loved that we communicated electronically and settled everything prior to the date of service. Everything was delivered to the house (no running around for me), and he removed all the fixtures and trash, as well as cleaning up. The work and the service were extremely professional, and while I don't want plumbing problems, I actually look forward to working with him again.
