I did not have work done.

we notice water leaking from the baseboard in our basement next to our fireplace and determine that the water going to the rear hose bib was the problem but did not know where the leak was coming from. We turned the water off that led to the rear hose bib to stop the leak. We then started to look at Angies List to find a qualified plumber to call and come and repair the problem. That is where we saw Coleman Plumbing and all of the excellent reports they had received and gave them a call. They told us they could come the next day at a certain time and earlier if they finished sooner ad they were able come earlier. Mark was able to analyze the problem and repair in a short anount of time to our satisfaction.

The plumber is very honest. The plumber tried to fix my sink and when he could not, refunded my money. He came out and performed the work. I called several days later and told him I was experiencing the same problem. He told me he did not have the necessary tools to drill further into the pipes, so he would refund my money. Two days later I had a check from him.

We were very happy with the entire experience. Mr. Coleman told me the price for each valve replacement when I called to explain the work that needed to be done. (Two other top-rated Angie's list companies declined to provide an estimate, instead requiring someone to come out to look, for a fee of $60.) He arrived exactly on time for the appointment, prepared with all the things that were needed for the job. He worked methodically and calmly and finished the job well within the 2-hour time window. I asked a lot of questions while he was working, and he answered all of them very nicely and knowledgeably, without any impatience or condescension. He wore shoe covers in the house and cleaned up very well. He even sent us a thank-you note afterward! The price for the work was substantially less than the $700-$960 that was estimated by another top-rated Angie's list plumber to replace just one of the 3/4" main valves and the 1/2" hose bib.

Went great. This guy was recommended by a friend after I gave him an earful about how the last company I used brutalized me. From now on I only consider using independents. He showed up when he was supposed to. Didn't ask a bunch of questions like he was formulating a plan on how to rook me. The water works in my house are enclosed in a drywall box that makes things tricky to reach. I was expecting to have to dismantle it to allow access, but this guy just jumped inside it. He replaced the parts with PVC per my request and did it quick. Then he left me with instructions on easing the water on later in the day after everything had cured and called me to confirm everything was cool. He didn't hang around for half a day burning up my work day and my wallet for what amounts to flipping a switch unlike the last company I used. I still have some copper left in the house, so I keep his number handy. I consider a good plumber one of lifes more important relationships, right up there with auto mechanics, doctors and dogs.

Everything went fine, Mark gave me an estimate over the phone and showed up on time, even waited 25 minutes fo me because I was late. He explained everything and was very neat. I will absolutely use him again and have already referred him to someone else.

Arrived on time and performed the work as promised. Identified and fixed a few items that were not properly done by the previous plumber!

He was prompt, courteous and professional. When unexpected things happened he gave a fair estimate. He explained everything to us in detail. He showed us what was wrong and left it up to us, he wasn't pushy. He responded quickly to our emails. He not only cleaned up after himself but the previous worker as well.

We called him on a Friday because our sump pump was only working sporadically, which caused the toilet in our downstairs guest bathroom not to flush right and we had guests arriving on Wednesday. Mark was very responsive, told us what we needed and arranged to replace the pump before our guests arrived. He arrived exactly when he said he would, wore shoe covers so as not to dirty our floors, went right to work, answered every question we had, cleaned up after himself and did a terrific job. I asked him about our kitchen faucet which needed replacing. He gave us good advice, arranged to pick up the model we wanted and came back at our convenience to install it. Again, he was very efficient, very neat and did a great job.

I'd like to add to the review. My parents who live in Maryland are elderly and set in their ways and needed some plumbing work done. So I called around for them to get some estimates and left messages with a number of places. Some didn't call me back right away; some wanted to charge hefty fees just to get an estimate. Then there was Mark Coleman. He's a very nice gentleman, who was one of the few that had no problems coming to give a free estimate. His quote was lower than the others so that's why I went with him. I'm finding other places are charging hidden fees, but Mr. Coleman did not. He was very courteous and prompt. I liked how he put shoe covers on when he came into the house. He is easy to communicate with since he used email and messaging. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of work.

It was actually less than some other bids we got. It was actually nice because he told us about a recall that we did not know about on the pipe that we had. He was accessible. I found out about Colemans in the paper and called them for an estimate. Mark came out and priced the work promptly. The estimate was fair and was broken down part-by-part so I could understand what I was paying for. The work was done promptly thereafter with the only slowdown when appliance store would not deliver my new refrigerator for 2 extra weeks (the rest of my appliances were right on time since I bought them from another company). Mark came out on time and did the job well. I felt like my work was a priority.
