They did a really super job. I think we had to make one little follow-up call, but that was it. Everything was fine overall. My husband liked the quality of their product and their customer service. They were not the cheapest, but were competitively priced. We spent a lot with them.

Champion recently replaced all the siding on our house. We received 3 bids on the job, and one was very high, and Champion's was very competitive. Beginning from our initial contact with Barry Robins, he was thoroughly professional. Barry took the time to help us decide what colors and what types of siding to put on our house which was a big help to us when making our decision. And he gave other helpful suggestions, such as having the cable television company re-route their wires so that they were not so noticeable, that were valuable to us. He did exactly what he said he was going to do, with no hidden charges. His crew worked in difficult conditions (it was July, and very hot), but they showed up every day and did a fabulous job. We had no complaints. It was probably the best experience we had in dealing with any service work we have done on the house. I highly recommend the company, and have no reservations whatsoever in doing so.

They also redid some siding, gutters and some windows and doors on our house a couple years ago and we had a good experience. When we were ready to do the doors we called them back. They were great to work with. They were punctual, do what they say they will and if there is any problem they will fix it right away. We ordered the front doors based on a catalog, but when they arrived they looked terrible because of the material they were made from. They replaced the doors with steel doors and there was no additional charge to us. The problem was the grain pattern was too deep and it was also identical from one door to another. Ultimately, we ended up just ordering new doors and they were installed a week or two ago. The company that made the doors was also involved and they sent a rep out to look at the doors, they agreed with us.

They are first class across the board and we will be using them when we can afford their services.

They were helpful and responsive. We did not proceed with the project because of cost, although their cost was not out of line with our other estimates.

I chose Champion based on Angie's List reviews. Champion gave me a similar quote to one other I had received, and a lower quote compared to some others. I chose the company over the other similar quote based on the professionalism and knowledgeability of the salesman who came out for the quote. He arrived exactly on time, and even called 15 minutes in advance to say he was on the way. He clearly knew what he was talking about, answered all my questions, and didn't make a hard sales pitch. The entire experience only took 30 minutes. I already had done sufficient research to make a decision on the spot, and so paid a deposit and scheduled an appointment for a couple days later for official final measurements to be taken. The man who came for the measuring was also right on time, called in advance, and was extremely professional. One of my windows required an additional custom frame to be built to accomodate my dryer vent, and he carefully took pictures and measurements. He understood immediately what I wanted and was able to explain what was possible. It was a very easy conversation. The measuring appointment took about 20 minutes. Next, the windows had to be produced, and I was given an estimate of 6-8 weeks for that. However, Champion gave me a call just about 4 weeks later to say my windows were ready and to set up an appointment for the install. As I was travelling, I asked them to hold off for 2 weeks, which they were able to do. On the day of the install, the two workers arrived right on time. They were very friendly and professional. They were accomodating of the fact I have a cat in a 2 room apartment, and agreed to do one room at a time so that the cat could be in the other room while they worked. The job took about 7 hours. They were kind enough to take down my blinds, since I don't have a ladder and had not been able to do so myself. Removing my old windows was clearly not easy, as I live on the 3rd floor and only one window opens to the fire escape, so they had to do almost the entire job from inside. However, they did a fantastic job, and I was amazed that only one of the old glass panes broke in the process (they immediately cleaned up the breakage thoroughly). They then installed all the new windows and in all but one case did an amazingly neat and beautiful job with the caulking around them, both inside and out. (In the one case, it was the last window they did, weirdly located in a cramped closet, and while the caulking around the window came out great, there was some problem with my 100 year old architectural window sill that they decided to caulk up, and it is not a particularly straight line, but I noticed it only after they left and am not too worried about it, being in the closet.) They also built the custom frame for the dryer vent. My only one complaint, which is not really that serious, is that neither of the workers spoke good enough English for me to have a real conversation about the dryer vent, which they had to leave without an outside cover because my hose seems to have been a non-standard size. I have been trying to find a cover at Home Depot to just put on myself, but can't find one that fits, so I would have preferred to have figured out a solution while they were there to either change the hose size (and thus the size of the hole they cut) right then, or something else. But again, this is not a huge problem and I'm sure that once I figure out a solution it will be an easy self-install and cost around $6, so not a big deal. Since the install, my windows have been fantastic. There is a noticeable difference in the temperature in my apartment, and for instance even with the sun beating in, the sills and floors do not get hot. There is no draft from outside, and I'm not losing air conditioning to the great outdoors anymore. Also, there have been 2 or 3 huge, heavy rainstorms and not a bit of leakage has come in (my old windows leaked quite a lot). The windows are beautiful, and look exactly like the other original ones that everyone in my historic apartment building still has. In fact, no one has been able to tell from the street that there has been any change. All in all, I am completely satisfied with this purchase and with Champion Windows.

The salesman was knowledgeable and courteous. The installers were prompt and very courteous. The work was completed without any problems.

THey did an excellent job. It was done in one day, which was good because it was very cold outside. They completely cleaned up when they were done. They also followed up with a call to make sure we were satidfied.

We had several estimates. They came when they said they would. The crew was wonderful. They were conscience and paid attention to customer satisfaction. I liked that they explained the products to us. They did such a nice job. They honored the quote that they originally gave to me. They were so accommodating and accessible. Mr. Robbins was willing to wait for full payment until we were completely satisfied with the entire project.

They were great. They always showed up on time and I would highly recommend them.

I was very happy with their work. They were a little pricey, but I think they were worth it.

Absolutely perfect. Not a minute's problem in three years. They measured everything correctly, the installation was done on time, all mess completely cleaned up. The windows are great...very easy to open, close and lock. Supposed to be very easy to clean but we haven't tried that yet!

They came and prepared the area before they put up the actually siding material. They did tell us a time frame of when the work would be and they were unable to due to a the measurement being wrong. They were able to complete within another month. The siding was too narrow and they had done most of the work already and had to tear it off and reorder and start again so that is why it took so much longer. We never had to pay any extra and when it came in they were right back to work. They did a really beautiful job.

The windows came in two weeks earlier than the estimate they had given us. Frank called us to see if we were available to do the install sooner and everything went great. They were prompt, polite and cleaned up all the areas they work in. They showed me how to use the windows before they left. I would use them again!!!

Existing siding had been in place for 30 years and was deteriorating. Work was done as agreed with attention to detail and exceptional cleanup. The estimate was timely and thorough. Mainly due to weather, the wait for installation was longer than anticipated but did not effect the workmanship or final outcome.

We bid the job to three contractors and selected Champion based on price and presentation (was within 5% of the low bidder). Provided a binding estimate at initial meeting and completed the job to specification, ahead of schedule and without any unexpected charges. Both the window and door crew and the siding and gutter crew were courteous and efficient -- the window crew brought a vac and probably left the interior of the affected rooms cleaner than they found them. Company representative was knowledgeable, diligent and easy to work with.

OVERALL THE COMPANY DID A GREAT JOB. THERE WERE SOME UNEXPECTED ISSUES THAT THEY HANDLED WELL AND WITHOUT GREAT COST. THE JOB WAS DONE PROFESSIONALLY.

THE WORK COMPLETED WAS PROFESSIONAL AND WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE QUALITY. THERE WAS ONE AREA WE WERE UNHAPPY WITH AND THEY RETURNED PROMPTLY TO FIX IT. THEY DID HOWEVER, LEAVE A BIT OF A MESS ON THE DECK.
