Don't count on them to do your cabinet design! Their salesperson (Patrick) made several costly errors with my order, costing me over $2600. When I sought some remedy for these errors, the salesperson stopped returning my calls and then after I spoke with the manager, he also did not call me back even though he had said he would speak with the salesperson and call me back. I should not have to bear the cost of errors in the design of the cabinets. Because of them, I paid for a microwave cabinet that I could not use because it was too small, crown molding that I could not use because the doors on the cabinets I had selected did not allow enough room to nail in the crown molding - leaving my kitchen to look not as finished as I had wanted and costing me $ that they would not reimburse. They also sold me four roll-out shelves that were the wrong size for the cabinet that where I wanted to place them (the pantry - which they knew when we ordered them) because they were too narrow to be installed into the cabinet the way they were supposed to be placed. And other items had to be repaired because of having to move the cabinets once we realized the microwave cabinet was the wrong size and could not be used. Ultimately, I had to buy another new microwave to fit the space available since all the other cabinets were already in place and then had to sell my original microwave at half price since I was unable to return it and get my money back. Don't be fooled - they will be responsive as long as you are in the process of buying something but don't expect them to own up to their mistakes or make you whole. Go somewhere else if you need professional assistance designing your new kitchen. I feel bad writing this because I really enjoyed working with Patrick up the point where they would not own up to their mistakes and at least try to help by letting me return items I could not use (at a minimum) and compensating me for their errors. GO ELSEWHERE! (Sorry, Patrick, I tried to work this out with you all but your non-responsiveness left me no choice but to give you this bad review.)

All went well. Alan, the salesperson we dealt with, was very professional and responsive. He helped us select carpeting without being too pushy. He was very good about scheduling the measuring and the installation -- people came right at the promised times. On a couple of the stairs, the carpet probably should have extended an additional half inch to the edge, and I found a couple of scuff marks made by the installers, which is the only reason I gave a B in quality. But these were minor complaints. The price seemed reasonable. We would use Carpet Palace again.

It went very well, very professional, and very pleasant to work with. Slight mix-up on the timing and coordination of the delivery but the final result erased any concerns. The delivery folks were not insync with Carpet Palace and Carpet Palace owner made it work by personally delivering the remainder of the product.

The sales person took time to help us select the right carpet for our space. She asked great questions to identify our needs and helped us select among the myriad of options. Installers were punctual, respectful and left everything clean.

Response from Carpet Palace
"Dear Mrs. [removed member name], I am sorry that you were not satisfied with the service. There are certain things that are beyond our control. The carpet is produced by different manufacturers and although rare, there are defects that are missed by the manufacturer or damages during shipment that are hidden until we prepare the carpet for the installation. Unfortunately the original carpet was damaged was not useable, therefore we had to postpone the original installation. The new material was ordered and in order to shorten your wait for the installation we scheduled the installation before receiving the carpet. Unfortunately the shipment was delayed by the common carrier and we had to postpone the installation until we received the carpet. The seams in the carpet are unavoidable if the room width is wider than the width of the carpet. We use industry standard for seaming and seam preparation for all our carpets. That said, some carpets are much more prone to showing seams than other. The lower the pile or flatter the carpet, the more prone it is to show the seam. The carpet you had selected was low pile loop construction. Please contact us and we will do everything to make sure you are satisfied with the work. If our efforts still fall short to repair the seams to your satisfaction, we can offer you a replacement with another style that hides seams better. Sincerely, Mark Afkhami"

We installed 3+ inch pre-finished red oak. Original wood sent from the wood supplier was incorrect size, so Carpet Palace arranged for its replacement with the ordered size. Installation crew was highly professional, little mess, all cleaned up, beautiful oak floor with oak steps completely trimmed. We dealt with Sharon Fitzpatrick, who knows a great deal about wood flooring, and the store manager who also visited the site. We are continuing to work with Carpet Palace on rug replacement and the substation of a wood floor for existing ceramic tile.

They're terrific. What I appreciate most about them is that they have  a lot of choices including high end choices. They did a good job with the installation on stairs. They also gave me installation options and pointed out the details.

I thought they did a very good job.  The sales person was very nice and helpful.  I ordered the carpet and they were diligent in getting the order out because I was in a little hurry.  When they came out they did a very professional job of installing the carpet.

I will never do business with this company again. He gave me a quote originally that it $100 more explaining that they needed to make a 40% profit. They did honor their originally quote only because I pressed him about it. After my experience I am very unhappy with their service.
Response from Carpet Palace
"Attached is the plan of the area covered. The exact sq footage for the space is 46 sq foot. There is always waste in any installation, especially one that is small and cutup. We added 4 sq ft for waste. The product (Duraceramic) comes in 17 sq ft cartons (you can verify this on Duraceramic website) so 3 cartons comes up to be 51 sq ft. This is what was ordered, used and the client was charged for. I think there was one full tile left that was left at the house. As you can see 2 boxes comes to only 34 sq ft and is not possible to cover 46 sq ft of space with 34 sq ft of tile. There is no complaint regarding the installation, service or quality of material. The price billed was exactly as was quoted after the measurement. All work was done as in the invoice. We will be happy to explain this to the customer. This is a simple math problem, beyond that we do not know what else can be done. We would be happy to hear your suggestion."

The only thing that bothered me was that they got some glue on newly painted surfaces in my basement where they installed the vinyl flooring. The carpet installation went great though.

It was okay, not fabulous. The person on the phone was helpful, but told me I could just walk in and they would be cut while I waited. I went there directly, and it turned out that the cutter was out. I decided to pay and come back the next morning. When I called the next morning, it still hadn't been done. It was finished when I went to pick it up a couple of hours later. I had been told that they would both be single pieces, but one of them (the larger one) was two pieces that I had to duct-tape together myself. It wasn't difficult to do this, but wasn't what the front desk had told me to expect. Also, I discovered that another place had a better quality pad (9-lb instead of 6-lb density) for the same price. I wish I'd gone there instead.

I DISCOVERED THAT THE WOOD FLOORS IN MY APARTMENT WERE IN VERY BAD SHAPE AND I NEEDED TO HAVE A CARPET INSTALLED BEFORE I COULD MOVE IN. CARPET PALACE WAS ABLE TO REARRANGE THEIR CALENDAR TO ACCOMMODATE MY VERY SHORT TIME WINDOW AND AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. THEY PROVIDE A VERY HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT. THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
