The crew arrived punctually and did an excellent job. We have a lot of heavy furniture and they moved everything without any damage. The crew (Jose and Ardo) were most courteous and helpful. We have two dogs and four cats (who always try to escape outside) and the workman were very conscientious about keeping doors closed and making sure there were no animals underfoot.The carpet looks wonderful and all in all our fear of total upheaval was unnecessary. The crew disconnected and re-connected the TV sets where needed.It was a pleasure to work with professionals from start to finish.

I visited the show room and found the owner to be professional and knowledgeable. They came out to measure and gave me the final estimate when they said they would. The install went well and the final price was less than I paid 10 years ago for similar carpet covering even more area (added the office space). Very good experience!

Things went smoothly. Delivery of the carpet took a bit longer than anticipated because of constraints at the manufacturer's, but this did not inconvenience us. The installers showed up on the appointed day and did a fully professional job. We are pleased with the results and will certainly consider giving repeat business to Carpet and Floor Express in the future.

There are four noticeable seams in the carpet including one down the middle of the room. It looks terrible, and their response was, "This is thin carpet." I wish they would have told us this from the beginning. This is the carpet that they suggested we use. We wouldn't recommend anyone to hire them.

The salesperson at the store was extremely helpful and easy to work with. The carpet could be installed within four days of my purchase. The installation crew was professional and helped figure out what to do with my closet doors, which were not able to hang well with the new carpet.

They were average, but their price was good.

We selected a carpet at the store and made a depsiti for it, then took home a large sample of that selection. Then we realized that the sample was not quite the best color choice for the room, so when the salesman visited our home to confirm our measurements, he agreed to make change; we returned to the store for additional assistance in making a better selection. The store changed the order for a new carpet, which coincidentally resulted in a lower price. Installation went smoothly and we are satisfied the with carpet and the professional job by the installers. The transaction appeared to go well and we are satisfied in every respect with our experience. This store has a wide selection of carpets as well as good workmen.

Phone interaction was unprofessionally handled. I will definitely won't contact them again.

We couldn't be more pleased! We visited the showroom on the Saturday before Thanksgiving (November 17) and were helped immediately and professionally by Tony. We ordered carpet for our family room, and hardwood for 2 small, five step staircases. C&FE had an amazing selection of high quality products to meet our needs, and Tony found exactly the products we wanted to match photos we brought with us. Tony scheduled an estimator for the very next Monday, who arrived exactly as scheduled, and finished his work promptly and professionally. C&FE scheduled the work for 11/29 and 11/30, hardwood for the stairs first, carpet the next day. I have never been more impressed with the skill, speed and artistry of the crews. Both crews arrived exactly on time, and completed their work in about 5 hours each day. This is a remarkable feat because we have an older house with irregular shaped rooms and lots of corners that the carpet installers had to deal with AND many pieces of heavy furniture that were moved without harm. Our staircases have steps and risers that each had their own unique measurements. Each cut of the hardwood was a custom cut and fit. The hardwood installation is truly remarkable. The finished product is a marvel. The price was very fair for the quality of the product and the work performed. And all this was done during a major holiday period. We recommend Carpet & Floor Express highly. If you have needs in this area it would be foolish not to consider them. We have another project for next year and will certainly ask for their service again.

Overall, very good experience. We had just purchased our new house and wanted to have the carpet installed before we moved in, so we had a small window to get it done. Also, we were not able to get access to the house for the company to do measurements, so they had to go off of the floor plan provided by the realtor. They were willing to work with me within these limitations. The price was fair. Probably not the lowest I could have found, but given our time constraint, it was a reasonable amount. The installation went as scheduled. It only took a day and we have not had any problems.

I was very pleased with the serviceand would use them again.

Tony hooked me up with carpet the next week. I just canceled order with another vendor when the install date continued to be postponed. Tony confirmed that he could get the carpet I wanted and it was installed before Thanksgiving. Installers were on time and professional. I would recommend Carpet & Floor Express.

We found the whole experience with Carpet and Floor Express painless from selecting the carpet to the installation. We dealt with Hamid and later Tony and both men were helpful. Hamid came to our home to get measurements and while there suggested a runner for the stairs. While I was not initially sold on the idea, I am very pleased that we followed his suggestion. The installation was delayed because of storm Sandy. They called and rescheduled for a date that was convenient for us. The installers came when promised, removed the old carpet and were very competent in their installation. They added thresholds where needed and ensured that in every nook and cranny, the carpet fit perfectly. We were given the carpet remainders from the stair runner and have used them in front of the exterior doors, saving any wear and tear and possible soiling of the new carpet. We are pleased with this company and appreciate the professional work they performed.

We needed to replace the tile floor in our laundry room. We wanted some durable that would last but not too expensive. The salesperson was very helpful, giving me good advice and excellent customer service. As promised, he called in about a week to say that the flooring had arrived and to schedule installation. Crew that installed the flooring arrived on time and did a very professional job.

Carpet installers arrived on time (8:15am), were courteous and did a wonderful job. My wife even asked the installers to create a small 2'x3' mat from the old carpet for use in the basement which they made for us at no additional charge. Overall, the install went perfectly, Tony was extremely responsive over the phone and willing to work with our tight schedule. We will definitely use Carpet Express again when we replace additional flooring in our home.

Went to Rockville showroom December 14, 2011 & selected carpet and paid deposit.Tony, the salesman, told me to expect carpet "to be in" to showroom in 2-3 weeks and installation would be scheduled shortly thereafter.In late January, after having had no phone call, from Carpet & Floor Express and having been out of town, I called the Co.Tony said he had called and left messages twice. I asked what number he had called. It was the wrong number. He had twice mis-read his own handwriting on the invoice! Installation was finally scheduled for February 2, 2012.Two workmen showed up on time, around 2 PM, and quickly set to work taking up existing carpet and pad.I vacuumed as they removed. They then put down new padding and carpet, using a carpet iron to match seams where they occurred. They were done by 5 PM. As they worked I asked if the new carpet would interfere with the opening of an exterior door as well as an interior one. As the padding made the carpet higher than the original one. Well, yes. Both doors would not open once the carpet was installed.When I told Tony, the salesmen, about my dilemna, he replied that the company doesn't fix things like that.Caveat to carpet buyers: Insist on an on-site visit and estimate by the carpet company. I ended up having to hire yet another "handyman" company to plane down both doors and install new thresholds.A rather expensive end to what should have been one job. Carpet & Floor Express did return about 3 weeks later with the remnant which was bound on its perimeter. A nice job.

We couldn't be happier with our experience - timing, cost, personal attention and installation. Clean up could have been better but other than that we have no complaints. Highly recommended.

The price was competitive. It took them a whole 5 days for them to come. I do not know how they do it.

Carpet express did a great job. Our new carpet turned our dank basement into a cozy spot. The carpet is high quality and the price is a good value. The installers worked hard and did a great job. They were done in an hour and you couldn't tell they had been there. They even cut a piece off for outside the basement door to protect our new carpet. Highly recommended!

Both the flooring and carpet installers arrived in a timely fashion on their scheduled days. I found both crews to be professional and easy to work with. The flooring installers worked meticulously and did a wonderful job. Everything looks perfect and the hand-staining of the quarter-round and wood thresholds before they installed them were a remarkably beautiful touch. The 2 carpet installers spent the whole day at my house and did what appears to be a perfect job. Fingers crossed that an older, yet still pretty, marble floor in our foyer will survive the movers bringing in our furniture next week. But if it doesn't, I know exactly who I will call for that. Thanks for a great job guys!

I received an estimate over the the phone from their representative. They were friendly, helpful, and informative. They explained that the estimate was a rough estimate and would change when the carpet was picked out and the basement was surveyed. I picked out the carpet and they said it would take five business days to install. They called the day before the installation to make sure someone would be at our home to let them in and allow them to do their work. They gave us discounts for just being an Angie's List member. They were very good about working with my schedule and working while other contractors that were also working in our home. The quality of the work was outstanding and the carpet was installed very well. They pointed out areas of moisture that was happening under the old carpet. This helped us identify and fix another problem. UPDATED 5/15/2013 I am very disappointed with the follow-up service I received from Carpet & Floor Express. As I mentioned in my initial review, working with Carpet and Floor Express on the front end was a great experience. The employees were friendly, helpful and responsive, but that all went awry after the installation was complete. Within 4 weeks of installation of the carpet in our basement, we were vacuuming with a high end vacuum cleaner when the stitching where two pieces of carpet were joined got caught in the vacuum cleaners rotary brushes. I immediately called the company to get them to come and repair the issue since this was covered by the warranty. The owner/manager I spoke to told me that they would have someone come out ?the next time they had someone in my area? and being a Rockville Maryland company with few Arlington Virginia clients, he couldn't tell me specifically when that would be. He told me he would call when he could get something scheduled. 3 weeks later I called again because I had not heard anything from him and only then did he commit to have someone come out within 2 days of our conversation. The repairs were done by the same crew that installed the carpet. 3 months later, while vacuuming the basement again, the stitching got caught in the vacuum cleaner at the exact same place that had been repaired. I called again to get the company to come out and fix this. The owner/manager asked ?what we were doing to cause this problem because no other customers ever had any issues with their carpets.? He asked if we had pets or kids and I told him that it was just my wife and I and that we hardly even used the basement. We then went through the whole song and dance of him telling us he would attend to our problem the next time he had someone in Arlington. Incidentally, this took another 6 weeks. This time he sent a repair expert rather than the original installer as he had done for the first repair. The repair person indicated that the reason the stitching kept on coming undone was because it had not been done right during installation. A month and a half later another section of my carpet where 2 pieces of carpet had been joined together also came undone. This time when I called the store the owner/manager was downright rude and insulting. He tried to make it seem like we were doing something to the carpet, and when I reiterated that we had no pets or kids and that the basement was hardly used, he blamed our issues on the fact that we had bought a ?cheap? carpet. The truth there is that he had tried to sell us a more expensive carpet that was outside of our budget but he had told us that the one we chose was ?fine.? He had been honest enough to say that he could offer better ones; however, we could not afford them at the time as new homeowners. He then told me that because he had already come out to fix my carpet twice that he would have to see if and when he could send someone out to our place because our job was a really small job that didn't make him much money and he couldn't keep coming out to fix stuff. He made it clear that this was the last time he would do it. Ultimately, Carpet and Floor Express NEVER came to repair my carpet after I made that call even though it was still under warranty. My carpet stitching is therefore hanging loosely on my floor and we cannot go over that section with a vacuum cleaner. My major issues with Carpet and Floor Express are as follows: 1. A warranty is a warranty ? honor it! ? If you install something that is warrantied for a year, honor that warranty. Don?t provide the support when it?s convenient for you and don?t impose arbitrary limitations on the number of times you will service your products under that warranty. The delays in fixing our carpet that they installed were grounds for escalating this matter to the Better Business Bureau. His refusal to come and fix the carpet the last time I called is a breach of warranty and certainly grounds for legal action. 2. Don?t insult your customers when it is made clear by one of your own employees that the reason I am having the issues is because the installation was badly done. When I continued to have issues with the stitching, you never bothered to come and assess the situation yourself with one of your experts to make sure that the work was done right in the first place. A good business owner would come out and check to make sure that my issues weren't the result of your negligence, especially since I kept having problems. 3. Customer service does not stop after the sale ? I gave Carpet and Floor Express all As in my first review on Angie?s List soon after the work was done before we started having issues because they were good to work with and I thought they had done a good job. But once they had my money, they didn't provide the support they promised through their warranty. Your customer relations throughout my issues were deplorable and that is simply NOT how you treat customers after they buy from you, regardless of how little money you felt you out of the deal. I would not recommend buying from Carpet and Floor Express if you hope to get support after final sale.
