All around a very good experience. I was looking for an inexpensive yet long-lasting carpet for my basement. I called before I went to the store and Tony gave me an estimate over the phone. When I arrived, Tony was very helpful and was able to give me an even better price than he quoted on the phone. I also was able to use a discount coupon from Angie's list. The installers arrived at the very end of the promised "window" but they worked quickly and quietly, cleaned up, and the carpet looks great!

We have 3 dogs and a lot of stains on the carpets. We've done a lot of damage with carpet cleaners that bleached out the color and we'd tried to take care of the cleaning ourselves many times. After numerous failed attempts we decided to hire a professional and reached out to Carpet Express for an estimate. The crew arrived on time and worked until almost 8pm to get it all done in one day. They worked incredibly hard - I didn't even see them take a break, and the carpet looks fantastic after two months. No problems yet. Tony was great, as stated in all the other reviews. Nice, responsive, didn't try to upsell me more than what I needed, and was just wonderful to work with all the way around. I did my homework, and got five estimates from five top-rated companies. Not only did Tony give me the best price, but he would have been my choice anyway just because I liked him and he wasn't pushy and aggressive like some of the other salesmen. I would use them again, and would highly recommend them.

Overall, the experience was very positive from beginning to end. I would highly recommend their services, both from the sales end to the installation.

Tony recommended a certain brand, gave us a great deal, and we went aherad and signed the contract on the spot. The carpet was installed by his team of prrofessional installers in a day and a half. However, after a couple of weeks the carpet seemed to be wearing out too quickly. we called Tony who contacted the manufacturer and they had a carpet specialist come out. Initially, the manufacturer was reluctant to honor the warranty as the test was inconclusive. Tony, however, offered to have the sample tested independently and the manufacturer gave in, and honor the warranty that we were entitled to! If it had not been for Tony, we would have been stuck with defective carpet. I don't think we would have received this level of service at one of the big box stores such as Home Depot or Lowes. We would definitely use Tony again and we would certainly recommend him!

This was a pretty easy job, so no drama. The rooms face each other across a hardwood hall and each is no more than 12 feet on the short side, so there was no waste. The carpet I wanted was no longer available but with the help of the manufacturer, Tony found me a comparable substitute. Both the man who did the measuring and the installers showed up on time and were quick, efficient, and thorough. They cleaned up everything. I'm happy with the result and would definitely recommend them.

We are pleased with the product and the process. The installation was smooth and professional with no surprise up charges or extras. Since their prices are "installed" they look a little higher than other places. But their installation covers everything and it is done by their own crew.

We had a very pleasant experience. Tony helped us find a great carpet, choose great colors for the two rooms, and was very respectful of our budget and style. The carpet was installed in a timely manner. Thus far, the carpet seems to be of a great quality.

Tony was an absolute delight to deal with from the moment we walked into his showroom in Rockville. Very personable, listened to what we were looking for and then made recommendations that fit our needs. He kept us very informed, and worked with us to time the installation for a short window between when we had some remodeling completed and when we had guests coming into town. The installers were very polite and efficient - they did a very nice job laying the carpet down. We would absolutely use this vendor again.

We had a previous bid from another company, Empire Today, for $602 including installation and tax, but we thought that we should get at least one other bid from another carpet firm. We obtained from Angie's list the name of Carpet Express, In Rockville Maryland. (It is my intention to update this review of Carpet Express, once their installation has been done.) With a 10 percent discount coupon which we obtained from Angie's list, we visited Carpet Express. We were the first customer in the store that morning, 10/23/2013, and we spoke to salesperson Hamid. Hamid was very personable, professional, and competent. Hamid helped us select an inexpensive berber carpet. He computed the price with pad and installation as a little less than the $602 contract we had from Empire Today, but with the discount coupon it came to around $537. My wife said if we could have it for $500, he could have the contract. With only a moment for thought, Hamid said he would accept our price "because you are our first customer today." We signed the contract, for $500. Subsequently, we called the first company, Empire Today, to cancel the first contract -- only because of finding a better price from a similarly attractive company, Carpet Express. (Check my separate review of Empire Today.) I intend to update this review of Carpet Express, after their installation has been done, currently scheduled for 11/5/2013.

In summary, Tony and his people from Carpet & Floor Express were fantastic in every way. If I could give an A++ in each category, I would. When I visited their showroom, I discussed my needs (including my dog's needs), and Tony and I looked at several carpeting options. He did not try to upsell me on a fancier carpet, despite my showing up in a suit/tie from work. In the end, I shopped around, but Tony was about 60% cheaper than a similar carpet style/comfort than Home Depot, and his customer service was unmatched. The measurements took about 30 minutes, and he ordered the carpeting right away. It was installed 10-days later. The carpet has a linear design running the length of the flooring, and Tony's people got it done right and it looks just amazing. It was a difficult job and they tackled it, without marring any of my baseboards. I would absolutely recommend him and his team again, and when I look to redo my downstairs (currently laminate) in hard wood, he will be my go-to guy.

Our experience with Carpet and Floor Express was excellent. We had pretty specific needs (especially around timing) that they met, and they worked very hard for our patronage. Our ratings are based on their performance in three areas: their expertise, affordability, and timeliness. Expertise: the salesman developed an understanding of our needs very quickly, and showed us the carpets that would best meet those needs. He asked us where the carpet was going, what was our family like, and did we have any pets. From this information, he showed us the carpets that would best meet these needs. I asked about other sections of the store, and he explained why he thought they didn't fit our needs, and more precisely, what needs their other products did meet. He also recommended against loop carpet because of our dog, which is something that none of his competitors mentioned when we were getting other bids. Overall, I felt like he took the extra time to sell us something that was durable, looked good, and met our needs. Affordability: We received three bids on our basement carpeting needs; Carpet & Floor Express was the middle bid. The salesman did offer us a discount on the stated price, and upgraded the padding for free. We chose this bid even though it was higher than another because we felt that we were getting better customer service and, as previously mentioned, more expertise. The price was very affordable. Timeliness: Carpet & Floor Express sent someone to measure our basement same day, and were able to schedule installation quickly and at a time that was convenient for us. We had specific needs because we were finishing a large remodel, going on vacation, and subsequently having company coming to visit us. In response to our needs, CFE sent someone to measure our house after business hours on Saturday (as soon as we left the store). They were able to install on a Saturday. The installers came on time, worked quickly, and completed the job in just a few hours. We were happy with the installation as well. You can count us among the many happy customers Carpet & Floor Express has served. We would consider them in the future, and would recommend them highly.

I used Carpet & Floor Express to buy and install some carpeting and had a wonderful experience. Tony was very helpful. He did not try to oversell me carpet. He carefully explained all my options and answered all my questions. He worked with me to find a convenient time and date for installation. The installers were prompt and very efficient. I would certainly recommend Carpet & Floor Express to anyone looking for carpet installation.

Overall, a good experience. I went out to the store, which was worth the trip from downtown because there isn't anyone reputable/good in the city. Within about 25 minutes, we had narrowed down what I was looking for to a handful of options. PRICE: He didn't try to upsell me, and in fact started with the remnants to see if anything there was suitable. I actually upgraded a few notches on my own initiative. I think the price was reasonable for the whole thing in the end, but not a bargain. Much better transparency and experience then Empire Today's sales operation. You get what you pay for! SERVICE: It came in on time and got installed within the timeframe I needed. I did have to call to lock in the delivery time, but once I did we got it squared away quickly. The actual installers were experienced and did the job well. They took the time to lay new tack strips in some odd corners that didn't have any, and cut everything carefully. We had some issues communicating over where to park which was a bit of a hassle, but nothing that impacted the actual installation. I'd use them again.

Tony was very personable, and provided me with price and quality options to choose from . Because it is a rental, I did not want to put anything too expensive, but wanted something that will last and where I get a certain guaranty. Tony give me a 10years on the carpet and told me that he would upgrade the padding. Within a week his men were there and did a great job. Tony is wonderful to work with. This is our third time in 9 years we've bought carpet from him: TH 9 years ago, my father-in-law's house 2 years ago and our new home a few weeks ago. Huge carpet selection with quality vendors (Mohawk) and very reasonable prices. Being a repeat customer, I got even more of a break and priority when scheduling installation. But nonetheless, very flexible. It was a 2-day job and Tony went out of his way to instruct his crew do the basement first and then remove the old bedroom level carpet and left me a window overnight so I could screw down the "squeaky spots" in the subfloor. Could not ask for more!

Everything went well and the carpet is beautiful. The sales staff at the store were very knowledgeable and offered great suggestions to meet our needs. I did not check the price of the carpet against other shops because they had a high rating on Angie's List and I was very pleased with how easy it was to make a purchase. The installers arrived on time, worked quickly (without even taking a lunch break), moving all furniture and putting it back in the right place. There was a small problem with the closet doors but they fixed it immediately.

It was a painless experience. They have much better carpet selection than home improvement stores. Tony knew his carpets and spent some time explaining the differences and answered all of our questions. We chose eco-friendly carpet with low VOC. His pricing was all inclusive (padding, installation, moving furniture, etc) and we thought the prices were competitive. We chose the carpet on Saturday and it was installed on the following Friday. They sent someone to measure the rooms and finalized the price before we sign a contract. The installers came exactly at 8AM and worked 5 1/2 hours to install about 680 sq ft of carpeting in 3 bedrooms and stairs. Everyone was professional and communication was good. We moved a lot of furniture out of the area so there were only a few pieces of furniture for them to move. At the end, the installers even offered to move other furniture back upstairs. The carpet has no smell whatsoever and it feels great.

I hired Carpet & Floor Express to install a runner on a set of wooden steps. I have no complaints - they were efficient and good. I got three estimates and they were on par with another company (and the third thought I had been born yesterday). I went with Carpet & Floor Express because I liked their carpet more than the other company with the same bid. I would use them again.

The owner was very knowledgeable with his products and was not too pushy. He educated us on diff types of carpets and reasons of its cost variances. The one we picked was one of the first ones the owner presented. The installation team was good- the entire process took a lot longer than I expected, but maybe it really does that from 930am- 7:30 pm ... WHAT?!?! But they cleaned everything up afterward and the carpet looks and smells NEW! Great job!
