It seemed a bit rushed to me--he was done in roughly 15 minutes. But maybe that's normal. I'm not sure. But I feel like the last time I had this done, it took longer.

He came out quickly the same day I called to diagnose our problem. We needed new accessories for one side's motor, but he recommended new doors for both sides as ours were quite old and falling apart. We decided to go ahead and do that, and he was scheduled to come out the following week on a Saturday. However, that Saturday he arrived not realizing it was to replace the doors. He said the office told him it was a new service call, and didn't know he was coming back to our house until after he saw us. We had made sure we were home and free that day, so it was an inconvenience having to reschedule for a couple days later. He did not seem to appropriately understand the inconvenience and I would have appreciated a more genuine apology. That is why I gave a C for punctuality and B for professionalism, however the work itself seemed to be performed well and we are happy with the new doors.

Everything went very well. The person who came was very good, thorough and professional.

It turned out fine with Capital Garage Door. They were tying to sell me some additional services that when I asked them a little bit, they said, "well, you might not really need them now but it's possible that eventually you're going to have problems with the door." They may have been perfectly legitimate, I don't know. I just have an uneasy feeling that the guy didn't take two seconds before he came up with his recommendations. I'm just thinking, I purchased these big deals, I don't expect these guys to come in and try to up-sell me on things and most of the time I haven't. To me, that's a turn off. He didn't really press it but he just came up with the recommendation so fast, I was just a little suspective of the whole thing. He may be right, the thing may break in another month or so and then I'll regret that I didn't have him go ahead to replace it when he was here. As far as he did when he was here, he seem to be fine and everything seem to be okay. The reason why I'm giving them a C for overall grade is because of the other issues I had. It was fairy quick but I did expect it to take a long time for that and I didn't watch him. I didn't stand and watch while he was doing it, I went ahead and did some other things. They were very responsive. Best I can remember, he was here when he said he was going to be here. He was nice. Id probably go back to the people who installed the doors.

Needed an emergency garage door repair after my opener stopped lifting the door at about 6 inches. When I released the manual over-ride, the door would not move any further. I searched Garage Door Springs and selected this company off of the list primarily because it advertised "same day service". I did not even know that it is on Angie's List. When I called, the receptionist/dispatcher answered the phone immediately. At first she said I could make an appointment for the next week, but I explained that my car was "locked" in the garage and inquired about their "same day service' pledge, she asked me to wait and she would call me back if she could dispatch anyone today. I received a call 5 minutes later saying that someone could be sent within 2 hours and that I would be called by the technician 25-30 minutes before arrival.. I did receive a call from a technician about 45 minutes later and he arrived shortly thereafter. He promptly identified the problem - a broken spring - and said he would be able to replace it within 30 min to an hour. As he was replacing the spring, he also found that the garage door bracket was also compromised and replaced that as well. The entire job took 30 minutes. I am extremely satisfied with service provided. I also joined Angies List -- not because this garage company is listed but because I want to be able to quickly identify and contact good companies that deliver what they promise, instead of relying on a cold search/ cold call listing off of the internet.

contractor entered my house through garage into laundry room into kitchen where initially he called from garage using his cell phone. He then requested to use bathroom.

I scheduled service for a Saturday between 8 and 10. When I called at 10 I was told it was a 10 to 12 window( this was incorrect). Owner eventually showed up just prior to noon to look at issues. I agreed to proceed with the opener replacement, but didn't see the actual installers until mid afternoon. After one day of use, the door failed to work properly. I scheduled a 10 to 12 window on the following Tuesday, however installer called me just before noon to let me know he was running late. After waiting until 2 I called the main office to let them know I had to go to work. My wife arrived home at 5;30 to discover the installer in our driveway waiting. He had arrived at 5. He proceeded to tell my wife that the sensors needed to be adjusted. However, he actually installed new sensors( which probably should have been installed in the beginning). Buyer beware. This company works on their time only.

The service provided turned out fine. They came on time and did a good job. The price seems reasonable.

The man forgot about my appointment and I had to reschedule. He was not punctual but he showed up at about 7pm and worked till about 9pm (full marks for hard work) I ended up buying a new garage door through them. Very pleasant young man, very happy with the installation.

On time, very nice guy. Fixed quickly and no extras.

He found the issue and fixed it. Also explained the problem. Had good experience and he was very reasonable.

Overall, they were pleasant and arrive within an hour after I called. They worked fast and my garage door was functioning with a new motor.

Inspected & replaced needed parts.

They came and checked out my slow opening garage door. As it turns out, they weren't able to do much. The screw-type opener that I have simply slows down when it's extremely cold. When this happens, sometimes the opener thinks it has closed on something and reverses. The real fix is to replace the opener with a chain or belt drive model. The work-around is to get out of the car and help the door close on very cold days. I gave them a B only because there was a scheduling problem and I had to call to get somebody to show.

Intially, the service call did not go as planned because they did not open up the opener. They said to do that would be a charge of $120 even if there was nothing wrong with it. I declined, but still felt a little taken advantage of, and gave them a C rating overall. UPDATE - the company contacted me several weeks after the service call and volunteered to refund my money because I did not have a good experience, and offered to do a free maintenance on my opener in the future. They sent me a check for the full amount I paid, and were generally very nice to deal with on the phone. I appreciated that they tried to make it right, so I upgraded my rating to a B.

Excellent service, prompt arrival and helpful explanation of condition of door.

The service turned out okay. There were little difficulties scheduling, and they weren't as professional. I had bought two of the deals.I don't think I would use them in the future.

Initial review based on 2/2/2014 visit: The service provider was very courteous, but did have to reschedule the appointment several times and showed up late for the appointment. I do not believe that all of the services listed on the Big Deal were performed including 21-point safety inspection, lubricating all moving parts, balancing the door for proper weight or tightening hinges and make minor adjustments. Updated review based on return visit on 9/8/2014: the company saw my review on Angie's list and called me to discuss it. When I told them my concerns, they offered to come back out to re-do the service. I thought they did an excellent job. Although the service provider was 35 minutes late for our appointment time, he really addressed all of my initial concerns and was responsive to questions. In the process of replacing a few small garage door parts, the technician noticed a serious problem with one of the metal springs, and replaced both sides for a reasonable fee. I thought they really showed themselves to be a company that stands by its word and its customers.

Worker arrived on time; was very pleasant. I just don't think for what he did that it was worth the money; not his fault. I won't use them again just because there is nothing else anyone can do; or if there is this group doesn't know. We want a new garage door (eventually) which he was quick to comment on and immediately offered his information on new doors. Typical, isn't it? Where are the vendors that really know how to work on / maintain the old homes in this area?

The provider scheduled and missed several appointments. When he arrived, he was extremely late and rushed. It was nearing dusk and he had two additional appointments on his schedule. Between purchasing the service and the date of his appointment, the garage door no longer worked. He indicated based on hearing my description of what happened and my ability to open the garage door that it was the motor. He indicated that he could replace the motor for a cost that was a little more than double the price that I ended up paying another vendor (Home Depot). He provided a brochure and his card for the additional work, and prepared to leave. I asked if he was going to actually inspect the door to assess the overall condition of the other parts, thus fulfilling the service that I had purchased. He said sure, did a cursory glance and said everything else looked fine. I question this companies professionalism and pricing.

I had a coupon for a door tune-up and called to get an appointment. They were very accommodating and came on a Saturday morning at the time they agreed to come.The technician, Sergey, was very professional.I knew my doors needed more than a tune-up and Sergey suggested replacing the pulley's and springs. This made sense. He showed me the price ($258 per door plus a one time labor charge of $75). I thought it was very pricey but I knew the work was needed. I told him to proceed. Later I checked the price of door springs and pulley's at Home Depot and found them to be about half the price. I called their office to discuss the price of the material. They offered to send me a check for $150.00. I hope to receive the check sometime this week. This was back on February 10th. Not having received anything by March 5th I called again and spoke with Shean the owner. He was aware of my complaint and told me he would have a check in the mail today. It is now April 16th an I do not have a check. At this point I have to change my review to unacceptable and to make sure everyone knows that they do not honor their commitments In late July I received a call from Sivana from Capital Garage.. She apologized for not sending me the check I was promised. She issued me a check for $150.00. I have updated this review to reflect receipt of the promised payment. Thank you Sivana for the follow up and for keeping your promise.

Suggested replacing metal rollers with rubber rollers for a more quiet operation. I agreed to have the rollers installed. Big improvement at a reasonable price.

They were not able to make it so they asked if i would get a refund and they will perform service for free.

They came late, but let us know of the delay. The individual did a fine job.

The service turned out wonderful. They came out right after I talked to them. I heard from the same evening that they were gonna come out the next day. They actually fixed more things for the 99 dollars. They have excellent customer service and very responsive. Sholwmie, he was the guy that came out first and Sargay came later just to check. If I need anymore repairs, I'd call them again.
