Description of Work: I purchased the $59 Garage Door Tune-up. Angie's List asks you for your availability and then tells you that the service provider will contact you for scheduling. I was not in a rush, so I waited to be contacted. After a week of not being contacted, I sent them a message on Angie's List and they responded right away. My advice would be to not wait for them to contact you, go ahead and either message them or call them to schedule. The technician was on time and a nice guy. While he was performing the tune-up, I showed him that my door wouldn't close unless I held the button down. He informed me that my sensors were bad, and quoted me a good price to change them. I went ahead and had my sensors changed during the same service call.

Description of Work: The contractor stabilized my creaky old garage door and put in new screws to attach it more securely to the frame. It now goes up and down much more smoothly and quietly. I feel confident now that it is safe, and would use them again and recommend them highly.

Description of Work: Took advantage of the Angie's email special for Garage Door Opener $59.00 Tuneup. The initial appointment was cancelled due to a flat tire supposedly and had to reschedule. The next 2-hour window appointment they were late again. This appointment they sent a Technician who was 3-months new to the job. I asked about replacing the Garage Door Springs and he said he could do it. He installed them but several days later I was not satisfied with new garage door spring settings. Had to arrange for another appointment for sending another Tech to properly set the springs. On the next appointment with a 11:00 am to 1:00 pm window. At 1:00 pm they had not arrived and had to call them. They said they would arrive by 1:00 pm. They did not show up until 3:30 pm after I told them I had to leave at 4:00 pm. After the Tech arrived at 3:30 pm, he wasted time on his cell phone. I had to reschedule once again. Finally, they sent an experienced Tech who properly setup the new Garage Door Springs properly.

Description of Work: We needed a few screws and rollers changed on our garage doors. We asked that one of the doors be checked out since we have had occasional sticking. Not quite sure what technician did, but the door is much much worse. It gets stuck daily. I would like to note that even before work was done, it was mentioned by technician that the doors are old and so we should consider replacing them. Literature to that effect was left with us. Very unhappy.

Description of Work: This was just a service. He sprayed some grease to make it run smoothly and tightened some bolts. He was supposed to come between 10 and 12 AM. Received a call that morning to choose 4-6 or 5-7. I said maybe we should reschedule for next week. I was told, they would do it today, and to choose 5-7. He came a little after 7PM. Apparently had a big garage job.

Description of Work: Had a tuneup of the garage door performed. Tuneup went as expected. The service man was friendly and knowledgeable. He lubed the hinges and tightened the bolts. Our door was going down too far so he adjusted the settings. Door has much smoother operation now. He recommended we replace the springs as ours looked worn and were 6 years old. He didn't give a high pressure sales pitch saying we could possibly get 10 years out of them but are recommended for replacement every 5-7 years. I decided to replace the springs as well which they will perform later this week.
