We can’t speak highly enough about Shalom and every member of his team! The level of detail, skill, and professionalism that went into the design and execution of our new kitchen was unbelievable. The kitchen was completely remodeled, and was a complicated project, but Shalom ensured that each step was well designed, and seamlessly coordinated. He came to the house every day to monitor progress, solve any unexpected hiccups, and ensure that the work was completed to the highest possible standard. My husband and I aren’t good at imagining what something will look like, but Mark designed the layout, and patiently and kindly helped us through our choices. The workers in our home blew us away with how hard they worked, and how skilled they were. The end result is a kitchen that looks absolutely beautiful, and that's a pleasure to cook in.

They did a big jog (about $20,000) 19 ! years ago. All went very well. One month ago part of the shower mixing faucet broke down. Part not available, discontinued. They went out of their way to find the needed part and fix the shower mixer (hot and cold water) that they installed 19 years ago. I consider it a great service and a company that stands behind the products they install.

Before you work with this company, know that the owners do not stand behind their work. We spent a lot of money having our bathroom completely redesigned. The installation process was not a good one. In addition to being rude, the lead installer was sloppy, drilling numerous screws through the bathroom wall so that they were sharply pointing into our bedroom. We noticed after the job was completed and they had to come back to fix it. If you use this company, you will have to inspect the finished work very carefully before signing off on it. The parts come with a 12 month manufacturer's warranty. Sounds fine, right? When the finish on my shower door started wearing down just before the 12 month deadline, I reached out to the company. They sent my contact info to the manufacturer several times, who has completely ignored my attempts to reach him. I asked Bath & Kitchen Showroom if they would take responsibility for this and said yes because that was unacceptable. Today they sent someone to my home who spit on the shower door, rubbed it with his finger (there was a sink right there if he needed water), then yelled that the water from the shower was to blame, there was nothing they can do since they "just do the installations" and are not responsible for the products. I'm not sure why they bothered sending him. This is the worst customer service I have EVER received in my life and we would never use this company again.

Everything went smoothly from selections at the show room to final completion. Task was completed on time with perfect quality. Workmen were courteous and professional. Any time a question came up, we were consulted and they proceeded as we wanted. We're very pleased with the work.

Their customer service was excellent. The designer, Joyce, was very patient in helping us select colors and appliances; she gave us good suggestions. The owner, Shalom, gave practical suggestions onsite for changes we had not thought about; and, those changes worked out well. We are very pleased with how both projects turned out. The bath was enormously improved, both aesthetically and practically. The shower is wonderful. The tile was laid on the diagonal and was very professionally done. The lighting, both natural and artificial, was greatly improved.

The men showed up on Monday Nov. 30 at 8:45 as promised and worked each day for the next two weeks arriving at 8- 9 each morning and leaving from 4:30 to 7:00 in the evening. Drop cloths were placed and removed each day. Vaccuums were used to minimize dust. The owner checked in each day to review progress and to make sure his men were following his plan and design. When we were planning the renovation, he and his staff were extremely helpful providing ideas and suggestions,we probably would not have thought of. After completion there were a few adjustments necessary and his men showed up the next day after being called. Actually a sink stopper did not properly hold water and a second call was made and promptly adjusted.. The quality of the workmanship was dearly appreciated. We would use this company again in a heartbeat.The quality of the materials suggested and used resulted in a first class renovation.

Our experience with Bath and Kitchen Showroom was absolutely great. They redid our Master Bathroom, installed floor and wall tiling, a new tile floor shower, a vanity, sink, toilet and medicine chest, and a gorgeous new mirror and lighting. They then finished it off with a beautiful paint job. Right from the start they were wonderful in their attention to detail, and they had the wisdom, experience and patience to help us make the very best choices for the job Everything they said they were going to do was accomplished exactly as promised. Shalom provided the initial estimate and regularly checked in throughout to see how his crew was performing the work-- led by Jose who was an experienced craftsman. When it comes to bathrooms it's all about the details, and Bath and Kitchen has Asha, who works in their big showroom ,and shepherded us through all of the details -- little and big -- so the final product came out exactly how we wanted it. We were greatly appreciative of the support provided by Shalom, Asha, Jose and the rest of the crew. They made what could have been a nerve wracking experience a fun and enjoyable one. We now have a beautiful and comfortable, first class Master Bathroom, and couldn't be more pleased. We'll be using Bath and Kitchen Showroom again in the future.

We had some things that they fixed it all. It went very well. They put in a new super shower, some tiles and glass works, marble bench and new counter top.

never heard back, went by their store about month later, was told they would get back to me, then got a call that they couldn't understand original measurements and we would have to start over, thought they were unreliable and not worth dealing with especially after wasting over a month

They completed the job promptly and I was happy with their service. I thought the sink was hung too high and I called them back to check it. They came and measured it as standard and I am not happy with it. I called them back again and asked them to lower it.

Everything went perfectly and they finished the job in a week and a day. The workmen were punctual, efficient, polite, and completely professional, as were all contacts with the staff in the office. I recommend them without hesitation.

I started working with the designer well in advance of the month I wanted to do the work, which gave them time to get all the materials from the manufacturers. When they arrived to do the work, everything went beautifully. I had used them before and knew them to be punctual and efficient. I really appreciated the fact that they were able to finish the work in a little over three weeks, which I know is almost unheard of for a kitchen. All my questions were answered satisfactorily and I was completely satisfied with the results. There have been no problems since it was installed.

I would not recommend this company. The work done was mediocre. There was not much care given to the finishes. For example, they didn't sand down the plaster that got on the wall in certain places near the tiling so it looks unfinished and sloppy. I said I would do the painting but I didn't mean I would do all the cleanup work after the tiling was finished and it was never communicated to me that that was the agreement. Also, the tile was about an 1/8 off the wall in parts of the bathroom where they didn't tile all the way to the ceiling but they didn't cap it or anything so I had to that myself. There was just a gap between the tile and the wall, it looked strange. It took so long for them to do anything or respond to calls I decided it was best for me to complete that part of the job rather than wait. It was also little things like they didn't really clean up the tiles after grouting, I had to that. The tiles had a film of grout on them. Not a big deal but seemed sloppy. They also didn't clean up the tub so it was filthy at the end of the job. Besides the examples above the rest of the work was fine if not great. My biggest complaint is the customer service. During the job the workers were always late. I asked that if they couldn't get there by 9, no big deal just let me know when they could arrive the next day so I could arrange to have them let in. I needed to go to work by 9. They would tell me: No they'll be there by 9, don't worry today was just a traffic issue. Everyday they would show up at 10:30 instead of 9 (four days total). A few months after the job was completed the glass tile they installed started cracking. It took about three months and 10 phone calls to get them to come and fix the problem. Each call would end with and quot;I will call you back.and quot; they rarely would. When they did replace the cracked tiles they did a half a** job so they look different than the rest of the tiles in the shower. I think they used a different grout. About 11 months after they completed the work the shower broke, it stopped allowing hot water to come out of the shower head. The problem was the Grohe component they installed failed. That happens, I understand. My problem is it's three weeks later and I'm still waiting for them to fix it. It took them two weeks to get a new part, which seems long considering it's not an exotic shower system. In the most recent call they said they have to check the part that arrived to make sure they ordered the right one. I asked why they wouldn't do that before ordering it? The response: I'll have someone call you back. I still can't get them to tell me when they will come to do the repair. Even if I think they should do the work, as they say they will, at some point it's not worth having to take a cold shower at home each morning or go to the gym to shower before work to save a few dollars. So I'm trying to find a way to get the part from them and hire my own plumber to get this done. The tile wasn't an emergency but I was surprised they would leave a customer without hot water for three weeks and show no signs that they ever planned on addressing the issue. I would have preferred they told me right away: we will order the replacement part, which is under warranty, but we will not do the installation. I would not have been happy with that response but I would have known from the start it was on me to get the shower fixed. Instead I feel like they jerked me around. On cost, they aren't cheap. I decided to pay the extra money because I thought it would be a smoother process than hiring a handy man and buying the supplies myself, which is how other friends have done it. I wanted someone to handle it all from start to finish. So, I paid more but didn't get any benefit. Shalom will tout that he gets the hardware at a discount, which may be true, but the labor costs are high so you don't see any overall savings. UPDATE: They came shortly after I wrote this and repaired the shower and remaining broken tiles. A few days later, after this review posted, I had a polite phone call with the woman that I dealt with throughout the process. She expressed surprise at my review and explained that she tried to do the best to help with the shower. Her explanation was that there was confusion as to whether I was simply ordering the part and would get my own plumber to do the work or whether I was requesting that they also do the work. She also said she didn't know it was the only bathroom in my apartment and consequently how much I was being inconvenienced. I don't doubt her sincerity but I feel I was clear that I was requesting they fix the shower not just order the part. She pointed out they didn't have to do the repair for free or at all and that she did that to make sure I was pleased with the service. Fair enough, but as I wrote above my issue was the lack of communication about when and whether they would do the job. I wouldn't have been happy about being told and quot;we'll get you the part and that's itand quot; but then I would have known to hire a plumber and get it fixed. Here's an example of why I was frustrated: The Saturday before they fixed the shower I was prepared to drive out there and get the part but they said they had someone who could come and fix it so I didn't. Then the day starting to slip away and despite several phone calls they weren't able to get a repairman to my apt and it was too late for me to drive out and get the part. The repairman did come Monday, at 11 am not 9 am as I was told. Anyway, I've never written one of these before and I'm not trying to be petty and hurt their business but regardless of whatever confusion there may have been on their end this review accurately reflects my experience as the customer.

From the moment I entered their showroom I felt welcomed. At the time I thought the project wold cost about $10,000. my estimate was on the low side and less than I ended up spending. I had been rebuffed at several other places because because my job was too small for them. Asha Kumar assured me that no job was to small if it was a project that I wanted to do. She made time for me at this initial walk in and we went over the process and made an apointment for Shalom Mesika, the owner, to come out a week later. He was punctual, offered suggestion and recomedations and got back to me with cost for labor for the job. I then went to their show room and worked with Asha again and chose tile and fixtures. She worked up the cost of my choices which were much more expensive that I was willing to spend. I retruned and she helped me make similar but less expensive choices. She was knowledgeable about her merchandise and patient while I took time to make decisions. A date was scheduled for consturdtion, about two months later. The workmen showed up on time every day. It took six days to finish the work. The workmen were knowledgeable and did an excellent job. The only glitch was missing pegs for the medicine cabinet shelves which were delivered to me later The shower glass took four weeks to come after other work was completed but that was known from the begining, the glass instillation subcontractors were excellent and were even able to do repair work on an existing shower door. The experience was the least stressfull renovation that I have ever done.

The contractor priced the job and prepared a drawing and description of the work planned. After the job was started he said it wouldn't be good to move the existing walls of the shower, one of which contained the plumbing, and convinced me we should just add to the front of the shower. My fault for allowing myself to be hoodwinked and not forcing him to continue as planned. The addition in the front meant the area between shower and toilet which was not very great, was even smaller. The tile work was sloppy. When I complained that tile work was not accurate, he asked which he should change. I said he was the professional, which did he find sloppy. Lastly, the walls were to be ready for painting. He does not paint. The walls and ceiling needed sanding and hours of prep work before they could be painted. Mr. Mesika likes to get in and get out of a job. He makes money on selling the bath fixtures. He rarely checks to see what his staff is doing on the job and does not care about the end result. He took some money off the cost, but I believe the work saved by not moving walls and plumbing were considerable. As I told him, I would never recommend him to a friend.

They did four bathrooms in a week and a half. They also widened my attic. The owner supervised the project. He made things happen and offered ideas as well. The workers were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. Everything was on target. The payment was flexible as well, and they collected payment as parts were completed. If I had enough to do a kitchen with them I would.

This was the third project Bath and Kitchen has completed for me and I could not be happier with the results. The design is beautiful; the designer translated my rather vague wishes into a jewel of a bathroom. The workmen are perfectionists who really know their business; I knew I could trust them to do everything the right way, and their work is flawless. Every member of the team was completely professional, and the price was fair. With these three rooms they have made my condo a much nicer place to live and I recommend them wholeheartedly.

The company did not use a contract. They used an invoice. So the price kept changing. We agreed to $50,000, and they kept changing the price during the time the work was going on. The electrical work kept blowing a circuit and I had to call in a licensed professional electrician who told me that the electricity was not installed to the proper home improvement code. I had to pay $1,000 to get it fixed. I noticed that the tile in the stall shower was staying wet after my husband and I showered. I called out several contractors to see what was wrong, and finally a mold remediation company. There is MOLD in my stall shower because the shower pan was not graded correctly and the water is sitting under the shower floor and not draining. To get this fixed, it will cost me $30,000 because the entire shower and tile need to be redone. Shower jets were installed in the shower. They don't hit us unless we stand on the bench in the shower, which is not the intended use. Bath and Kitchen Showroom refuses to fix these items. No one should use this company. They perform substandard work and don't stand behind their work product. They also violate several Maryland home improvement laws by not using a written contract as an agreement to perform work.

He is not the cheapest guy in town, but is competitive. He has a great European product in his showroom.

I would not use them again. It wasn't necessarily totally negative, but if I could go back I would've had them do one bath and not had them do the second. We ordered all the pieces from them; tub, shower, shower doors, etc. The man we worked with was great and guaranteed it would be done within 2-3 weeks. It wasn't. It lasted forever and a day. The men that worked on the remodel did not speak english. We had to keep calling the main supervisor over to fix things. One order was not correct. They had to rip out a couple things. It lasted months and was awful.
