Their work is usually pretty good. They are a little more expensive, but they seem to know what they are doing.

Their quote was a little high than the other companies I called. However, I think they were very professional and customer oriented. They were very responsive as well.

It was a good experience. He arrived on-time and even took his shoes off when he came into the house. He went to work right away and did a very thorough job.

The central air unit in the basement was leaking into a small puddle of water; on the recommendation of 2 friends, both of whom use B&B, we called them. They were supposed to come between 10 and 1, but showed up early. They looked at the system, blew out one of the pipe, and told us that freon was coming out. After this "emergency" repair, I called my insurance company who sent out one of their contractors. The contractor said that everything looked good. I then told the contractor that there was water coming out that was about to touch the base of his foot; the contractor told me that after blowing out the pipe, the piping should have been glued back together, and that the water was dripping out of 2 places because he (the contractor) had shaken the pipe. B&B didn't glue it. They called back 2 days later (today) to ask if I was going to buy a new aircon system. I said no. I'm giving them a B because they didn't glue the pipe and I don't know that they were fully honest with me. I hope they were. Reputationally, they're not cheap.

I had just signed up for a service contract with this company. As the weather turned warmer I needed them to check out why the A/C was not cooling as well as it should. They came out, checked the duct work, measured and calculated for the proper airflow, and changed the settings which the installer (another company) had set incorrectly. The increased the airflow while still maintaining really good cooling. I learned a lot about my system by watching them and they explained what they were doing every step of the way. The knowledge of the service reps (2) that they sent was great. All for no charge with a service contract.

Arrived on time, did work as needed, kept me informed, done.

They always show up on time. They are very neat and clean. I feel the prices are very fair and I get good quality work at a very reasonable price. They always answer my phone calls and are very prompt and making appointments. They are also very flexible and easy to work with to schedule an appointment.

They are punctual and polite and professional. They upgraded my heating unit to meet new community specs and did so quickly and correctly. The unit has worked well now for 2+ years.

They are very thorough, very professional and very good. They are a good group of guys that know what they are doing. We will continue to use them for future service.

I like the fact that some repairs are free. They answer emergency calls. They are polite and friendly. I consider them very knowledgeable. I will use them for years to come.

They explained all their work well, we felt comfortable with their work, and will continue to use them.

If you make an appointment with them, they show up on time. Even when they are working on a fixed-price contract, they are still diligent about pursuing problems.

One month later, the heat went off. It was Sunday, the tech couldn't fix it and we slept in one room with a space heater when the temp about 30 outside. The next day a supervisor came out and replaced the transformer, which was blown by the work done one month earlier. Soon after, the office started overheating again. The tech from Band B told me there was a short in the wire, and that the dry wall might need to be removed. I said "no thanks." We called our contractor, whose electrician fixed the problem in 30 minutes by adjusting the thermostat. We just had him replace the fill valve placed by Band B six months earlier at a cost of $200.

They are very responsive if I have to call them out during other times of the year to check a problem. I also feel that the charges are fairly reasonable. They haven't charged us too much if they have had to make an extra trip out to our house.

Refused to even come to my residence to give an installation estimate. They claim on their website to service everyone from Nova to Annapolis but refused to come to my NE DC residence. NW was fine, but not NE. I've seen this type of profiling before from a few other companies but thought Band B would be different due to their high ratings. I called all of their branches (703, 410, 301) but somehow my house in NE (Capitol Hill)is a geographical oddity as it doesn't fall under any of these branches service areas.

Overall I was pleased with this service and prompt attention. The prices were a bit high but it appears to be worth it since no labor costs were charged for the second visit given that I had signed a yearly contract.

I had previously had difficulties finding someone to come out at the promised time. B&B came quickly and on time. The agent tested my Freon levels. He told me they were low, filled to the proper level and told me that I should have it tested again next year to determine if I needed to replace my unit. His honesty was appreciated - the previous repair person had refused to fill up the Freon, insisting that I needed a replacement.

The 1st experience was pleasant and they provided excellent service. The 2nd experience they said they would have to replace an old coil and tear down the walls, which would be a major renovation, so I wasn't as happy, but that's not really their fault. They were just being honest in their assessment.

The service technician was very polite and explained the procedure. He was on time both times, but during the second visit, he had to wait 45 minutes until his colleague with a ladder could come to get to the roof, even though I had explained the rooftop access both times. The overall experience was very good, though they could not detect problems during the second visit, which may have prevented the compressor from shutting off.

Prompt, and reception was professional and courteous.

Furnace was shutting off after a few minutes run time. First company we called diagnosed it as possible problem with heat exchanger and said there was danger in running it; recommended total furnace replacement even though it's only 8-9 years old. We were skeptical. Second opinion from B&B; their diagnosis was that the gas valve and igniter needed replacing. B&B came out four times within a week, sending different repair people to test and check, and only charged us for the first diagnostic and last repair visits ($500 of cost was for parts). We appreciated their persistence in figuring out the problem. They were capable, prompt and pleasant. Only complaint was cost of replacement parts, to which is added a big premium over what the parts actually cost (we checked on the internet). However, B&B said this is industry practice, you cannot buy parts except through a distributor, and distributor also gets a mark-up. They took $100 off the first-quoted price of one of the parts.

First time pilot light went out during a cold evening in 11/05,(no problems with temp-outside @ 20-32F). We called for a tech at 10pm and dispatch person recorded info. Call was placed as an emergency. Told to wait for the tech to call us back. We dressed up in additional clothing, turned on space heaters, gas range and used electric blankets; It was cold! Waited two hrs and called back to dispatch at 12am, and again a call was placed to the tech. At 12:15am a tech returned call (he was in bed asleep) told us he would NOT be out until 9-10am. The next day a tech called to tell us that the tech assigned had QUIT and DID NOT inform Anyone at Band B. A Tech later came @11:30am. Second time pilot lite went out and tech never showed and we got the phone run around-we froze again and told the tech was on his way. We waited practically two days and called to complain. While on phone cancelling contract a tech shows up and got call from office to come back. Responsiveness sucks for emergencies.

I CALLED TO SCHEDULE AND HAD A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. THE PERSON WAS HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEY CAME AT THE ASSIGNED TIME AND DID THE WORK PROMPTLY AND AS PROMISED.

I PURCHASED A CONTRACT FROM THIS COMPANY WHICH ENTITLES ME TO A BIANNUAL INSPECTION OF MY EQUIPMENT. THEY WILL MAKE ADJUSTMENTS IN THE EQUIPMENT TO SAVE ME MONEY ON HEATING AND A/C BILLS. THEY ARE VERY THOROUGH IN THEIR WORK AND I WILL DEFINITELY CONTINUE TO USE THEM.

WE HAVE HAD OUR AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING SERVICE CONTRACT WITH Band B FOR WELL OVER 15 YEARS. DURING THAT TIME, WE HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED WITH THE TIMELINESS AND QUALITY OF THE WORK PERFORMED BY Band B, INCLUDING A COUPLE OF EMERGENCY CALLS LATE AT NIGHT IN THE DEAD OF WINTER.
