Area Construction Group

Greg is stellar example what a contractor should be. We initially hired him for a structural engineering consult. He arrived and spent a number of hours with me going over every square inch of our newly purchased home. He patiently answered all my questions and explained exactly how our house was constructed. I was very happy to learn that he owns both an engineering firm and a small structural construction business. While some people view this as a conflict of interest, I viewed it as a blessing. By being in control of both the structural design and implementation, the quality of the work is higher and done exactly to his high standards. During the consult we identified a few things that needed correcting or stabilizing before we could proceed with our intended wall removal. After receiving the bid from him, we chose to hire his crew for the work. The only downside to his small construction business is with scheduling. His crew is in high demand, so expect to wait a number of weeks for them to come out. That being said, you'll be happy you waited! His guys truly are like family. They are hardworking and very efficient, and do a wonderful job. We plan to remove another bedroom wall, and install egress windows in the basement, and will definitely call his crew for the work. I couldn't recommend Greg and his crew any higher, you'll be happy you called him!

They were very good. Their work ethic was outstanding. They were the only company I could find that would take on my project, because it was an engineering project where structural work had to be done. Greg Kaski, the owner, is a structural engineer. Their communication upfront was a little less desirable that I would have liked. They did not really give me a contract to sign, which was of concern. Communications lasted for several weeks, because they are a small company and I guess they were very busy. They did not have very good communication skills, but once the job started, their work ethic was outstanding. They came in and knocked out the job in a couple of days. I would use Area Construction Group again.
