They have been very accommodating and responsive. One thing that is very nice about them is that they don’t expect for you to have a full load. After giving an estimate over the phone, they will come to your house to measure your items and provide you a actual estimate. They are very careful when they come in and are very thorough. There is always a foreman on the job. I have used them locally for myself and to move my mother into assisted living. I have used them three times for moves to California. Nothing has ever been broken or lost in a move. The driver always stays in touch and updates you when they are near to your state. Everything has been wonderful.

I was rush to move and they were the first ones accommodating to my schedule. I don’t recall there being any damages or problems. My experience with them was fine overall.

Scheduling was fine. The job mostly consisted of moving. They did secure some items such as mirrors. There was a small incident and we straightened it all out. One of the workers had a medical problem and they had to pull over during the delivery so the job did take a little longer than expected. There was a safe missing. It turned out they found it. It had been in the front compartment of the truck and I later picked it up from them. Overall, my experience with them was fine.

The move could not have been smoother. Louis and his crew were very professional, helpful and friendly. They worked very hard and did not slack off one bit.

Great! Rain was threatening and they moved me quickly and beat the rain and didn't go over the estimate.

They gave us an estimate and actually took less time while doing a terrific job! They were so careful, wrapping everything securely. They showed up on time and called 2 days before the move to make sure we were ready and to see if we needed anything. I can't recommend them enough!

They introduced themselves, took a tour of the apartment and packed efficiently. They did a wonderful job from start to finish, very professional!!

Representative was professional and helpful. He was willing to work me in to the moving schedule of his company at the last minute. He followed up and was willing to answer questions. I chose to go with a local company, but mainly because I was concerned that having movers come from Rockville to Alexandria might end up being significantly delayed.

We wanted it for one day but unfortunately it turned out to be a two day fiasco. They were actually quite patient and very wonderful and packed very nicely. I never dealt with a moving company before and I have always done it myself or with a friend. But as far as the people were concerned they were friendly, productive and very courteous. They were timely and patient with our requests. The price was very fair although I don’t recall the exact amount. There was no damage when they packed and they did a good job. I thought they did a pretty good job on the cleaning. However we had issue with one of the chemicals that they used, we have cats and they had a bad reaction to it. I think the chemical was not pet friendly. The cats had to stay behind because of the situation. They started on time. They were very responsive to our questions.

The crew was punctual ,fast and hardworking . They took special care with my furniture and personal items. The best part is that Montie came over to give us a free estimate before the move . All if the pricing is upfront and there are no hidden costs. I really appreciate their high level of customer service and their upfront pricing . I highly recommend them.

They said they would arrive between 8 and 10 a.m and did at 8:25. Following the initial check and paperworks. They started the service at 8:55. It was all very smooth and without any problem. The finished packing and loading of all in 3 hours. We just sat and had our coffee. The house we were moving was just 3 miles away. They followed us to the new place, unloaded and installed. It was again smooth, we did nothing, but answer a few questions, where to put what. It took another 3 hours in the new place, so overall 6 hours. This is my 6th moving, where two of them were between different countries. This was one of the most easy going ones. It is flexible and easy; as easy as a moving could be. Their price was a bit higher compared to the other quotations I received. However, 495 Movers included the packaging materials in the price, considering this and the quality of the service we recieved, I think it is worth. I strongly suggest services of this company.

We called this company for an estimate. They were prompt and responsive, but then called to follow up every few days. This was during a time when we were trying to get estimates from a few other companies who were much slower. We tried to ask politely for them to call less frequently (they did not), but the persistence and pressure to book more than a month in advance of our move was off-putting to my family.

Overall, we had a good experience with 495 Movers. They were affordable, communicative, and helpful. If we were in the same situation (i.e., a move that could be completed in a day in the DC area), we'd probably use them again, though I would've packed more of our stuff into boxes ourselves for the piece of mind. The in-home estimate went quickly and smoothly. Tom (and another person whose name I can't remember) took a look around our house, and told me what to expect in terms of price, time needed, and what they would do (e.g., provide packing materials as part of the cost). He then returned to his office and emailed me a formal estimate. Tom, through whom I had most of my contact with 495 Movers prior to the move, was professional and responsive during the process. He followed-through promptly on his promises to me. The one time I didn't receive a call back that I expected (it was not a big deal; I just emailed him to follow-up), he apologized repeatedly. He really seemed to want my move to go smoothly, not just make a sale. They offered a very competitive rate to move our stuff (contingent on us packing certain things, including a bunch of books, ahead of time), so we paid a small deposit to secure our move date. The day of the move went pretty well. The movers arrived on-time (around 9 a.m.), and began wrapping our furniture, packing up dishes, and loading the truck. That part of the move went faster than I expected. Once the truck was loaded, they drove to our new home (stopping at their office and for lunch along the way). We then met them at the destination, where we unlocked the front door and began the move-in. That part went smoothly as well, except for moving one bed upstairs; some instruction and disassembly was required. All together, the move took about 10 hours, including two hours' travel time between Maryland and Delaware. My only concerns had to do with packing: while most dishes and other items packed by 495 Movers were well packed, it wasn't universally the case. Some items were oddly stacked or poorly wrapped. So, at one point, a box was dropped, and an easily-replaced glass item was broken. It wasn't a big deal (and after moving many, many times, I know that something always breaks), but I think it was preventable. It wasn't enough to change my opinion of 495 Movers, but I'd probably have packed more things myself if I were to do it over again (especially since they were willing to provide the materials).

It was easy to schedule an appointment for an estimate and to get our quote. Both times, the crew arrived on time (there were four guys each time) and they worked efficiently and carefully loading/unloading our boxes and furniture. It was snowing on the day of the second move but the movers were careful in wiping their shoes off every time before they walked into our new house. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

The 495 Movers crew promptly arrived at 8AM as promised. They are efficient, experienced, and capable. The crew expertly wrapped my furniture and breakables to protect them from damage. The crew was highly professional and worked well together to pack my belongings into the truck. I drove my own car and met the crew down in Lake of the Woods, VA. On the other end, the quickly unpacked the truck and re-assembled my furniture. I would be happy to use 495 Movers in the future. They did a stellar job!

They were fine in calling me. They seemed more expensive than some of the other companies. The guy was very good about calling back and making sure that I did not forget about the company. They were definitely good. I will probably not use them again in the future.

The crew arrived at around 8:00 am in the morning, the company owner came with 3 movers in the morning to make sure that everything started on the right foot. It took the guys about 20-30 minutes to move all the boxes (about 50 boxes) from our apartment into their truck. All the furniture were protected with moving pads, mattresses were covered in plastic wrap. The movers also packed my two large screen TVs with babble wrap and boxes. The unload took a little longer because I moved into an apartment building with a tiny elevator. There were no damages, and by the time they left the apartment all the furniture were in the right place and assembled and all the boxes were in the right place too. This is the first time I used a moving company to move my staff, until this move I used to rent a truck and move everything myself. I will definitely recommend 595 to my friends and family and will move with them again in the future. Thank you!

The crew arrived on time , finished the move in one day they also managed to get all the furniture to the second floor at the destination with no problems keeping all the furniture safe as well as the walls and keeping the premises and carpet clean . Monti the owner came to supervise , and was wonderful with his approach. Mike the foreman made sure to arrange the kids bed rooms first priority like he promised ,so our kids could go to sleep on time. i cant say how happy we were with the entire moving experience by 495 movers, we will recommend their moving services to anyone of our family and close friends and we will most definitely use them again thanks again you made our new beginning a great one !! The beginning of my experience with 495 movers was great. The owner came out very promptly for an estimate and was very courteous with answering questions. Verbally my boyfriend and I were told that they charged a flat rate of $165/hr and any boxes or packing assistance would be provided at no extra charge. This was a selling point for us as the owner mentioned other companies did not offer this. My boyfriend and I also were moving into a temporary apartment and had to put half of our belongings in storage and the rest in the apartment. The owner told us he had his own storage facility for us and his rate was cheaper than other storage facilities so we wouldn't have to worry about it which we thought was great. Our quote for 6 hrs and 3 men was $1145. The day of the move my boyfriend and I had not completed all of the packing of our small items. However, based on the initial conversation with the owner, we anticipated having the extra help of boxes and labor built into the hourly rate. To our surprise 495 movers showed up with only 2 men plus the owner and our move lasted a little less than 10 hours totaling $2155. When I complained in a later email here is what the owner wrote back ""our agreement was that you will pack all your belongings and that we will take everything when it boxed and ready to move when i came to your house almost nothing was ready and we packed alot of boxes and provided a lot of boxes with no extra charge". Besides the fact that over half of our items were packed and ready, this is the same person who told us on our initial visit that additional boxes and packing assistance were free and included in the flat rate". At the end of the day on moving day the owner tells us he ran out of space in his storage facility and our only option was a separate $400 storage rental facility which is much higher than the market storage rate for this area. Thus, he initially offered us something that he did not reserve for us and we were left at the last minute with no other options. My boyfriend and I told him we needed to think about it and when I called the owner the next day to ask the size of storage space that we needed he told me he had spoken with someone and found another location for us at a cheaper price of $349 or something like that. I asked if he'd called all the storage facilities in my area to make sure it was a good deal and he said yes. We gave him the ok to move our things there (in the interim our storage belongings were on his moving truck). Upon my boyfriend and I making a trip to the 'new' storage facility to pick up a forgotten item the next day, to our surprise this new facility turned out to be the owner's location which was merely a small warehouse-type space attached to his office! To our dismay we found our expensive furniture & household items stacked on top of each other in a small corner and practically smashed against other people's furniture items. You could barely walk in the storage area as many people's household belongings were just stacked everywhere. Thus, not only did the owner provide misleading information by saying he'd "found" another storage facility, but we did not even have a private space or even access to our things with our own key. To make matters worse, I found a much cheaper private storage facility directly across the street from our new residence (proving the owner did not check for other facilities). We ended up having to pay him again to move our things to another storage facility.The day the owner moved our items to the new facility. All, for the most part, went smooth until the end. I complained about our cost for the 2nd move especially in light of his untruthfulness about the storage facility. To my shock, in response to my complaints the owner soon started literally yelling at me in the middle of the storage parking lot, which was extremely unprofessional. He was shouting saying he never told us it was a private facility and he had the right to charge us anything he wanted for it because he was running a business and he also did not owe us a free 2nd move. He did end up discounting this cost after the shouting match. To date, I have purchased a new home and we just moved last month. Our new moving company District Relocators ended up charging us a little less than $900 for 7 hours, efficiently helped us pack all loose, small items that were not packed and were the ultimate professionals. I know it's hard to find good movers and I started not to write a review until we had such a great experience with the 2nd mover. In summary, I'll say that 495 movers is not necessarily a bad company. The owner is pleasant enough, however if you have a problem with their service and complain, the owner may not handle it professionally. Also, I would suggest using their moving services only and packing all of your items beforehand vs. relying on them to help you finish. Finally, I would definitely shop around because moving companies all tend to sell themselves as doing this or that better than other companies, but in the end they all have their issues. The one I used for my last move was recommended by a friend and I only wish I'd found them sooner.

I want to start off by saying I have used movers from all over the US over the past 20 years and these guys where a first. They were on time which is rare. They wrapped all my furniture including small pieces. I have a lot of crystal, china and antique furniture and none of it was damaged at all. Because of this I give these guys 5 stars and believe you me I am not an easy customer to please but these guys are just excellent.

I am a med student with no free time and I needed movers right away. I called around to get some estimates but they were either too low or over-priced. I didn't know what to look for since this is my first move on my own and they were very clear and took their time to explain to me about all the hidden charges that other companies have. The customer service rep. was very helpful and took her time to make sure I understood the process. They didn't push me to reserve right away as the money was not the main priority for them, my satisfaction was. Being new at this I called back a few times to get all my questions answered and then I felt comfortable to chose them to move my things. On the day of the move I received a call from the driver and informed me that he was on the way. The guys were very fast and careful as nothing was scratched or broken. Being new at this I wasn't sure what to expect of my house too look like after, but it did as the day I bought it. I am recommending this to all of my fellow students in the med field since time is something we don't have. Thank you so much 495 Movers.

Overall, the experience went very well. They were able to come out and provide estimates the same day that I had called. I called other companies but those companies weren’t able to come out to provide estimates for about a week or so. This company’s cost was reasonable; we thought it would be higher. The movers were courteous, prompt, and got the job done in a timely manner. Nothing got broken or lost. All of the movers were Spanish-speaking, but one of the owners of the company was there throughout the entire process to translate, so there were no language barriers. He even gave me his cell phone number so I could reach him at any time. I’m happy with their services and I would recommend them.
