From preparing the estimate to unpacking at our destination, the staff at 495 Movers was very professional. They didn’t have any hidden costs in their estimate/final bill. The moving supplies were included for free. The crew reported on time and were extremely careful wrapping/unwrapping delicate pieces. We would definitely use them again.

This was my first time hiring a professional moving company and was a little apprehensive about what could go wrong. The 3-person moving team was excellent. They arrived right on time, and were extremely helpful and courteous. They took great care of my belongings and made sure everything was placed where I wanted it in my new home. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent! The team of for people arrived on time and immediately started neatly packing all our stuff including heavy furniture. At the evening our stuff was already at the new house and nothing was lost or damaged.

They damaged white wood paneling under one of the windows all the way to the floor. There were large scratches and dents. They also damaged the floor in living room and dining room. The heavy sofa was placed the wrong way against the wall. Where you sit would be against the wall. Instead of turning the sofa around, they flipped it over, damaging the sofa, wall, and wooden floor. They also damaged an antique chair, knocked out a piece and they lost it. Then they wasted more time looking for the missing part. My marble table was marred and has a large rough spot. There were three large baskets under my bathroom sink that were not to be moved. They belonged to my landlord and I explained that the baskets should not be moved. They packed and moved one of them and then wasted more time looking for the basket after it was moved. There were also a lot of communication issues since only one of them spoke English well. Once they finished unloading the truck, they just left without saying anything. I had to go back to the old place by myself to finish moving the last boxes. I have tried so many times to call and email them. They?ve never returned my calls and they ignore my emails. I?ve asked repeatedly for reimbursement for damages but they just ignore me.

We received a few quotes and while 495 was not the cheapest nor the most expensive, they were rated highly on many websites. They charged by the hour and gave us an estimate. The 2 man crew and Supervisor arrived as scheduled and called to confirm the day before and an hour before the scheduled time. They arrived in their own identified 495 company moving truck, which is a good sign. The Supervisor politely asked if we could move our car out of the driveway to make the move much easier for them but to our embarrassment the car broke down and it couldn't be moved. The Supervisor and crew were very understanding and adjusted to the circumstances without being upset; so they had to carry each item and extra 20 feet to the street. We went around the house with the Supervisor and identified the items to move and he put everything in writing on their form. The team was very organized and professional. They took apart mirrors off of dressers, broke down the beds and boxed and wrapped all items securely; even the box springs and mattresses were individually wrapped. They made a point to identify items that already had damage which was good for both parties. They wrapped the piano and moved it without damage to the house or the piano. They secured all items in the truck especially the piano. When they arrived in PA everything was in good order with no damage. They moved everything easily into the storage area and a couple items in the house. The final charge was per the estimate and everything went smoothly. We would definitely consider hiring this company for any future moving needs.

495 subcontracted the move to another company for delivery. The pick up by 495 went well and very professional. However, the delivery was not good. First the subcontractor tried to get us to pay more money than the contract called for. when we refused, they threaten us to reload the furniture [what a joke that was] and then they did not take away packing material leaving us with hours of work.

It was extra ordinary-on time, careful of vintage and antique nature of furniture.
