Keith's crew completed project on time and within budget. Some extra work was required at a reasonable cost. The deck is solidly constructed and looks attractive. I did not get any other estimates, but Glen's appears to be in the low to mid-range for the local area. They are highly recommended to other potential customers.

They took the time to really work with me throughout the whole process. From deciding what I wanted, what would look best and be most practicle, and what I could afford. They came in significantly lower in cost than the others from whom I received bids. The workers were friendly, courteous and professional, and Glen is the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet. Overall, A+.

I am very satisfied with the new deck. Very well constructed and looks great. Exactly what I wanted. They worked on the design and offered suggestions and I have the deck I dreamed of.

When we add on or if we ever have anew deck built again we will call Glen. He and his crew were knowledgeable, helpful and timely. They worked quickly but efficiently. Highly recommend them to anyone in the area!

On budget and on-time! Excellent quality work -- cleaned up completely and came back to fix a small piece of trim when I asked about it. I recommend you ask for a typed estimate and invoice. The hand-printed ones are quaint but I had trouble reading parts of it. He prefers phone messages to e-mails, but some people have challenges answering phone calls/getting messages due to their work (I'm a HS teacher!) Glen's knowledge of the deck business and permit requirements was very helpful.

Great work would highly recommend! Pros: - knowledgeable ( very willing to answer any and all questions. in depth answers for specific concerns) - cost ( they beat most other estimates ) - time ( literally had the deck almost 90% complete in a single day, in the rain) - workmanship (deck looks beautiful, can't find a single screw or nail head, very seamless design and clean lines) - extras ( added a picture framing to deck for free, most others do not. very willing to work with your design ideas to make it unique) In total from time of hire to deck completion was about 5-6 weeks (4 weeks for permit). 1-2 weeks to get started. Love the finished product!

I highly recommend this company and would use them again myself. The estimate was fair and the work very high quality. Everyone was professional at all times. Glen really listened to what I wanted and then gave me good advice without telling what I should do. Even after finalizing the design it had to be changed several times due to the location of the power source to my home and once because I decided a vinyl railing would look nicer and last longer than a wood railing, but there was never any hint of irritation or complaint by Glen or anyone else. I have plenty of other projects to do on my house and would hire Custom Works again if they did that kind of work. I can only hope to find another company I trust as much as this one.

We were flexible with our timelines and believe that led to an extremely satisfying experience. Glen and his team were very fast, thorough, and professional throughout the project. They even helped look for our escaped dog (later found)! The demolition crew were remarkably quick, very careful and had our old deck removed in a matter of hours. They even left us a step so we could still use the back door. The construction lasted a few days and they worked from early morning until dusk each day. Again, the quality of the work considering the speed they achieved was surprising. The end product exceeded our expectations and the entire experience was completely enjoyable. Glen busted any contractor stereotypes and is now our go-to guy for these kinds of projects. Nearly left out the price was very reasonable compared to other quotes we received. All in all a very positive experience and we highly recommend Glen and Custom Works, Inc. for any project you may be considering.

My new deck exceeded my expectations. Every time I go into my kitchen I want to step out onto the deck. I had an old wooden deck replaced with a new PVC deck/ with white vinyl rails. I selected Glen because he was very confident and had lots of great reviews on this website. Also, his estimate was right in the middle with the other estimates....plus he didn't require any money until the project was complete. My project took an extra week because it rained for almost a week straight. The only con I would say is that I didn't know when the builders were going to show up when it finally stopped raining. I would agree that they could improve communication...but because I hadn't paid a dime, I was patient and it got done. They did an excellent cleanup job too...they even cut my patio stone to fit around the new poles and covered up the old holes. I'm extremely happy with my new deck. and would recommend them for a deck project.

I was looking to build a large deck (24' long by 12' wide) and Glen was the only builder I found that could keep me on my tight budget. I was bit concerned by that but that was put to rest after reading the reviews on here and meeting with him in person. He also did a stand-up job keeping the work moving with all the rain last week, the guys even volunteered to work on the weekend to finish it up. George and Nick did great work, their attention to detail was outstanding, I'm very picky and have OCD but I couldn't find one thing that was off kilter on my deck...and I literally went over it with a fine toothed comb. All-in-all, I couldn't be happier with my decision to let Glen build my deck, it looks great and more importantly, is built to last! I highly recommend you give Glen a call if you're looking to build a deck, porch or sun-room, you won't be disappointed and you will be blown away by his A+++ service!!!!

I had a very small porch replaced with a full house length deck. Absolutely incredible! They did a great job! My house looks completely different. They were very professional and the price was great. They were a pleasure to work with. My neighbors still compliment me on my beautiful front porch!

Glen was very knowledgeable and helpful when asked questions about the grade of wood etc. The work was done in a timely fashion and due dates kept. As many consumers I try to get the lowest price possible but have champagne taste and my deck looks wonderful.

I NEVER give reviews on things. I felt compelled, however to write one after Custom Works completed my new deck. My wife wasn't able to attend our first meeting so I feared that she wouldn't be able to see sample decks that CW had built. Since Glen had all of his pictures on an IPAD, he sent select pictures to my wife and 30 seconds later she was looking at the pictures on her phone! The quote that we received was much lower than the other companies. I thought that the quality of work might be as well. I also had concerns they might not be able to complete the job on schedule. All of those worries were NON-issues. The quality of work was GREAT and they even worked in the rain one day. The gentlemen doing the work were very pleasant and even asked my preference on a couple of things that they could have just completed without asking. That is rare these days. I couldn't wait to have my family and friends over to see my beautiful new deck! They ALL asked me who did the work. I expect a nice commission check after all of the business that they should get from us! :)
