Great work and price. Communication wasn't the best, but they came through by my deadline and the work final product is amazing. Glen was willing to work with our budget and was very knowledgeable, with lots of examples to help design our deck. Will be hiring them again later to do our patio when the time comes. Already recommended them to two other friends and both have bought decks off of Glen as well.

After they took out the overgrown bushes that had pushed in the sides of the old deck, it became obvious that the new deck needed lattice to hide the old gravel underneath. They read my mind and were ready with a modified quote about as fast as I decided I needed it. What a relief to have this new deck; thanks, Glen, for giving us good explanations of all the choices of materials.

Our screen porch was finally finished. It perfectly ties in our current house and looks beautiful. We are very glad to find Custom Works, Inc. through the HomeAdvisor . Glen is very professional and extremely patient, and gives a lot of helps to us for choosing the style and material. The workers in his team show true craftsmanship and have done excellent jobs. We are very happy with the finished project and definitely will use them again.

When we met Glen, we found him to be very knowledgeable and extremely helpful in terms of offering suggestions on features we might want for our replacement deck. Once we decided on the various options, he was able to quickly work up an estimate, which was very competitive. Additionally, he didn't take a "hard sell" approach, which we much appreciated. Glen's construction team did a great job - very neat, precise and competent. The result is beautiful.

Custom Works actually built a patio for us. The review does not let you modify the specific project. Glen and team did an excellent job installing pavers just as we discussed. The job turned out better that I expected and was done so quickly even with a glitch of getting HOA approval. Glen goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. We will definitely call him for future projects.

Customer service and workmanship were excellent!

Overall, I think the company did a good job with the deck. However, it was not an easy process especially with communication. There was a mis-measurement that could have been avoided and then further delayed construction of the deck. There are splinters in some places that I reported but that has not been addressed. The contractors left several screws on the deck. Good thing I found the screws before a child did so first. I would cautiously recommend the company.

I am very satisfied with the complete project. I could refer them.

Deck look great

Glen was a great salesman and told us about options we didn't know we had and helped us really work within our budget. The work done was excellent, but it was a bit slow. We were told we would have a larger crew, and when it came time to do the work there was one master carpenter and an incredibly flighty "apprentice." Some days, it was just the carpenter by himself, which really made the job slow. But the work was good in the end...only a few glitches.

Showed pictures of work. No money due until work complete. Took care of permits. Worked around the rainy weather. Deck looks great.

Glen Wilson goes above and beyond to cater to individual customizing and because he picked up on my individual tastes had great suggestions. Keith headed the crew and made sure to explain every step to me. When a small detail needed adjusting, he got it done quickly and was patient with my many questions about future care of my new sunroom and deck. I could not have be happier and have gotten many compliments from neighbors. There is no one who would guess that the sunroom and deck were not planned and built with the house itself.

Glen came on time for our first appointment. He asked what the goal I had for the deck. He showed me his license and pictures of project that he had done in nearby homes. He stated the estimate while he was there. We decided to do the project the first week in April. I spoke with him the week before and everything was set up to go. The gentlemen that did the job name is Keith was professional and helpful. The job started on Tuesday and was nearly complete on Friday. There are a few minor things left to complete a gate that has to be installed and gravel for under the deck. I can't express how pleased I am with my new deck.

We believe for what we chose we received excellent craftsmanship, excellent materials for what we chose to have constructed, and a very good overall value. Glen who handled the sales did a great job of informing us and clarifying any questions we had going forward in our selection process. Keith, the on-the-job expert who handled the actual work is masterful.

Very polite and respecful. Did as discribed. Used quality materials . They built a really beautiful deck in no time and at a very reasonable price. They cleaned up even beyond their work area. They fixed my fence around the deck that was falling apart. I have never dealt with a company that was just there for me and not for the money.

We love our deck! However, after the fact it didn't pass inspection b/c it required additional handrails to be ADA compliant. The handrails would have taken away from the beauty of the project and I felt they weren't necessary given the users and the height of the deck. Therefore, we opted not to have them added. However, I thought our contractor should have advised us of this before beginning the project. Therefore - we have a beautiful non-compliant deck.

From the first day I met Glen with his outstanding professionalism, I knew him and his team are "MAN" for the job. Glen is a straight up guy and will tell you what he got on his plate and tell you the time of completion. I really like that, but what got me to hire him is the no "down payment". You pay him on the time of completion! I don't know if he does that to all his client, but IMO that alone deserve trust to his word that he will not take off with your money. As far as project cost, Glen's quote is within market cost and definitely worth every penny for the "DONE RIGHT" type of work and details they put in it. I highly recommend them!

We are so happy with our new deck! Glen took care of the process of getting our variance approved - we didn't have to lift a finger. They offered the railing style and screen style that we had trouble finding elsewhere, at a price that was a little lower than we expected. The quality is great - Keith (our foreman) is a real perfectionist. We are going to get a lot of use out of our deck, and would definitely recommend Custom Works.
