Wallpapering work seemed fine at the time and looked great when contractor completed the job. About 2 years later, we discovered a large split down 1 wall of the bedroom where wallpaper had not been glued properly. Later another large split of the wallpaper down the 2 sides of a corner of the room. This shoddy work does not appear til years later, when the glue of the wallpaper is dry. Been extremely unhappy with this contractor's work, including a terrible exterior paint job on the house.

Contractor painted exterior of large custom house and the job looked great and well done at the time. Within 2 years, paint started to change color, in about 3 years paint started to peel and mold started growing. We discovered there were large portions of the exterior wall that either had not been painted with primer or portions of wall that had primer only had 1 coat of paint. Many many areas were not even sanded nor cleaned before paint was applied. On the worse sections, we had to go and and re-clean, sand, prime, and completely re-paint ourselves. This paint job was a complete nightmare......and we spend a fortune on it. Now 5 years later, the house is covered with mold and mildew, peeling and cracked paint, and we are looking at having to spend another probably close to $20K to have the house completely repainted.....NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED after spending $17K on a paint job. This is exactly the type of contracting job that people hear about where homeowners are ripped off from bad shoddy work and don't realize it til years later. And there is absolutely no recourse because......guess what.......contractor refused to provide warranty of any kind. It should have been a warning sign. WE WILL NEVER EVER USE THIS CONTRACTOR AGAIN.

Michael was fantastic. He is professional, and truly a master at what he does. He spent all day working non-stop, and, the results are fabulous. I chose wallpaper with a bold pattern, and Michael hung the paper meticulously. My husband and I are both a bit anal, and we were so impressed with the precision and care Michael put into his work. His job is flawless, and on top of it he's just a really nice guy who is very pleasant to be around. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Michael Balin is a meticulously neat and high-quality painter and wallpaperer. I have used him about 6 times for interior paint and about 4 times for wallpaper. He is a perfectionist. He preps the walls perfectly and paints as neatly as you can imagine. The borders between two colors are always neat and straight. The wallpaper is always straight and perfectly matched. He cleans everything up so well, it's like he was never there, except that your rooms look awesome. His prices are not the cheapest, not the most expensive either, but he is worth every penny. I couldn't be happier and I will use With Flying Colors again and again.
