They were unprepared and did not have the right tools to do the job. My husband had to give them a nut driver to unscrew the vents. They did not bring a ladder to reach the vent on the stairwell so my husband had to provide the ladder and they did not have any tape to seal the duct work, so we had to provide that as well. When it was time to clean the main duct vent, they said someone glued the brush together so they had to go to their office to get another brush. These are items that should have been checked before going to a customers home. The technicians should make sure they have all tools and should be well prepared so that the job can be done efficiently and effectively. When they left we noticed they scraped the walls and did not clean all the vents. This was very poor service, not worth the money and I would not recommend this company. Also note we did contact the company and spoke to Travis to voice our concerns. He apologized for his technicians not being prepared and not having the correct equipment at the time of service. He said he would try to discount the service and would call back, but to date we have not received a response. We will bite the bullet on this one because we definitely do not trust the service. Based on my experience I would not recommend them.

Everything went well. The guys that showed up were professional and nice. They went over everything they were doing. Came fully masked and with protective gear for their feet. They left the house in the condition they found it. I would use them again!

Never ever hire these guys! They are very unprofessional and left the house covered with dust. They brought the big large absorber in the house and plugged it in to the air vent unit. The tube had many holes in it and all the dust from the vents spread out in the entire house. They showed us a few black spots on the inside unit and said it was mold. They charged us $400 for Deep Duct Cleaning One Unit and another $400 for Mold treatment. They "cleaned" the dryer vent from outside the house for free but they took out the debris and the dust in the air. While they did this, they didn't warn us what will happen and our windows were wide open. All the dust from the dryer entered in the bedrooms. They left the house in a complete mess. I needed to take down all curtains, blankets, coverings, cleaning every single piece in my entire house for hours and days. I have environmental allergies and this is the biggest mistake I have ever made for my health by hiring this contractor. If you care for your health, DO NOT use their service.

Work to be performed was explained prior to starting. The work was done efficiently and they were careful when removing the duct covers so no damage was done to the walls or carpet. Cleaned up as they went along.

I hired True Duct for Drier Vent Cleaning after we purchased our new home. After my inquiry on Angie's List, I promptly got a phone call and email offering their services and prices. I was able to book for the following week (due to my schedule, not theirs), and they were able to give me a small window for which they would be coming to the house. When they got there, the process was pretty quick. He finished everything in under an hour. Their prices beat their competitors and their service was exceptional. I will be hiring them again to clean my air ducts.

HAHAHA!! I have to laugh to keep from getting angry. I don't have time to write all the details because I will end up writing a book. It starts with me talking to the "Owner" on the phone and referencing the Angie's List deal of $175, I have copied and pasted the contents displayed on the Angie's list deal page at the end of this posting. So I talk to the owner and inform him that I don't think my ducts have ever been cleaned, since the house was built or at least since I bought the house 7 years ago, so he offers sanitization and mold inspection that will range from $125 to $170, you already know which one it will be. So I budget $345 for the total cost. I told him that I don't like upsells of which he tells me that there is no additional cost unless mold id found and has to be treated. However, on the day of the service the tech, arrives and starts off with I will hook up the hypervac, once it is cleaned out, I will spray the ducts with the sanitizer. I am no HVAC expert but was aware enough to ask about spin brushing, the tech responds with, that was not included in the original quote, here comes the B.S. I will need to call my boss to clarify. he comes back with $125 for spin brushing. I was like heck no, then he "calls his boss again" and it became he says we can do it for $400. I was not in the mood to haggle so i said so be it. (At the end of the job I hand him $400, and my receipt reads $349, that is between him and his boss). Ok, so he gets to work, I let him be for 1hr 30mins, I come back home to find out that he is wrapping up and moving his equipment to the car, he says "Man there was a lot of junk in you ducts, but I got it all out" I am gleaming, but something tells me to verify with the only part of my duct that is straight enough to look down into, my return line. I film it while he is standing next to me and voila!! it looks exactly as before. I will not even explain, i will let the video do the talking. The quote from the video "I might need to uh.. bring the brush back in" His claim is that the brush did not fit, so he just hypervac-ed it. If I sneezed i would have cleared out more dirt than the VAC, so now I am concerned as to whether he even did the supplies which are tighter than the return, he says yes. Something is not adding up. I let it go, and blame myself for not being there when he did the supplies, so I request for a scope, which he uses, the scope goes at most 3 feet, which gives you a view of 3 feet from the supply vents, tells me nothing. So he brings in the spin brush, and wow, the brush made it into the return this time after a few attempts. He is spinning away, but I am no HVAC expert, but shouldn't the hypervac be running while the dust is being shaken off. So i ask him, and he says, "No", that once the unit is turned on it will capture the dust. I know my return is not a straight shoot down to the furnace, so I am puzzled, wouldn't his dust that is being shaken of just rest at the bottom of the L section? Anyways, he say he will vacuum after he is done. To, my surprise this dude pulls out a carpet vacuum and does this thing where he opens up the space in my furnace where the filter is inserted and proceeds to vacuum what looks like air, there is absolutely no dust, once again, I ask "are you sure my unit will catch the dust you released, he said yes. So i trust the expert and he goes on his merry way. I call a friend who know a little about HVAC and he calls B.S. on the return cleaning and tells me that there is a clump of dust resting somewhere in my return duct work given the low pressure of my system, tells me to check my filter. Filter is pristine clean. So at this point i call the tech, and say he has to come hypervac the return to get the dust he shook off from the spin brushing. He agrees, and long story short, he was supposed to come on monday, "Personal Health Issues will be there tuesday", tuesday, "medical emergency from the antibiotics from monday, see you tomorrow", wednesday, "ran out of excuses, so promised thursday", thursday, I decided not to chase him any longer, so he reaches out and guarantees friday, of which he shows up on friday, he hooks up the hypervac to the supply, with the air filter in place , remember we are supposed to be targeting the return, by now I have done some research online, so I am thinking maybe this hypervac is so strong that he does not need to close the supply vents, so i walk upstairs and put my hand on a supply vent and let us just say that if I had a feather sitting in front of the vent opening it will struggle to make it's way into the vent with the close to non-existent suction pressure. At this point i was feel insulted to the most, I had to tell him to leave immediately, I had to accept that I had been had. Then, today, I call the "Owner", rehash the story, don't know if he was actively listening being that I had mentioned that i had a video and he still made some statements to make it seem like the tech was just doing his job follwed with "I was not there so I cannot speak to what happened". I ask about their process, and he says we spin brush the return, supply and hypervac while spin brushing. Blocking the vents is up to the tech's expert judgement. So, I have to surmise that the problem here is not just the tech, but the company's process as well. Anyways, the owner, after hearing for the second time that I had a video showing the after result of the return from the first part of the first visit, he wanted to start playing good customer service and offering to fix the problem. I will not let these guys touch my house with a 10 foot pole. Even if I paid $1000 I still would not let them fix anything. Good riddens to bad rubbish.
