It went great, we have been using Solomon for years. Lenny was our technician. He was very friendly and did a perfect job. He went out of his way to make sure the area around the toilet was squeaky clean. He wore a mask, and was a true delight to have over. Thank you Solomon plumbing!

It went great. Billy was our plumber and he worked really hard and did a fantastic job. He installed 2 valves where one of the valves leaked. He drained the house in a way that saved time, because we have 3 zones and he was able to drain it only partially which made the job go so much faster. He answered many questions and was a pleasure to work with. I strongly recommend this outstanding company. Bruce the owner patiently answered my questions before the job, and they got it right.

We wanted to make sure the pipes in the crawl space were not going bad. So Danny came over and as usual worked hard even in the small crawl space and he sanded the pipes carefully to remove the flux. We wanted to make sure that we didn't have any hidden damaged pipes as there was a lot of green on them. Danny did an excellent job as always. Bruce answered several questions and always makes himself avail. to solve problems. Thank you!

It went great, we could not figure out why our boiler was leaking through the relief valve. We needed someone who was a true expert in boiler hydronic heating.. I have been using Danny as our plumber for 12 years, and he is just an amazing person. Will work as hard as he needs to and both Danny and Bruce the owner are both extremely honest. He did the job without a hitch and patiently waited for the house to heat up and really make sure that the leak problem was in fact the expansion tank. We had been using an undersized expansion tank, and Bruce was able to resolve this mystery that another reputable company had no idea why we had this problem. Solomon plumbing to the rescue!!

Did a good job replacing part of a kitchen drain line to a main sewer line, but it was kind of expensive and I was pretty skeptical whether it should have cost that much, but had little information to compare it to. Then they did a whole house inspection and recommended I replace my hot water tank with a 50 gallon gas tank for more than $2000, which is double what it should cost based on common knowledge. Makes me wonder how much I got ripped off on the work I had done...

Response from Bruce Solomon Plumbing, Heating & Air
Thank you. I am glad that you thought we did a good job replacing your kitchen drain line on September 27, 2017. As with your drain line replacement, we first came out to look at the job so we could give you an accurate price up front and in writing for any job you are considering in your home. Then you called us back to have the job done. After our technician completed the drain line job he did a whole house plumbing inspection. During the inspection he noticed that your water heater was installed in 1999. Knowing that water heaters last about 12 to 14 years by Consumers Reports' estimated life expectency. Our technican wrote up a report showing his findings for that and all the other plumbing in your home. He also left you with a sheet that states "Existing water heater working at this time but is almost 20 years old." Then he left you pricing for a new water heater with all the items required to due the proper installation. Also a quote to repair another item in your home. Bruce Solomon Plumbing, Heating & Air has been in business for over 33 years servicing the needs of our customers. We ALWAYS give a price up front so our customers can make an informed decision about their home.

There's no cost because we have a service contract. I was displeased at that time with them. My mother's 101 years old and at that time the heat pump gone out. They didn't do anything during the time it had gone out and the time they fixed it. Another company came out and were able to fix it temporarily. So, I was upset that Bruce Solomon would just walk away without offering some type of solution.

I have been using this company for over a decade and Danny once again did a perfect job in the installation. Bruce the owner, answered all of my questions and its been a few weeks and its working great. Danny has been amazing each and every time for over a decade. Many thanks. This company has high integrity and I can trust them. They never rush a job. So I know whatever job they are working on in my place is going to be done right. I noticed a review stating they misled, they do not. Once in a while if there morning job is delayed, they will not be able to make it that day, but that is because they put 100% into each job.

Their prices are a little high, but they do good work. I have a plumbing plan with them that they come and give me a free inspection every year. The reason I said that their prices are high is because if you go towards the cost to install a toilet bowl, they only use Toto’s and it costs $800 to buy and install toilet bowls through them, but their service is good. If I can tell my friend something about them is that they are thorough when they do their inspections.

We were having a plumbing issue at our house and couldn't figure out what was going on. Bruce Solomon Inc came several times to try to diagnose and fix the problem. We eventually worked with a different plumbing company to resolve the issue. Although Bruce Solomon Inc wasn't able to resolve our issue, they were very responsive and tried extensively to address our concerns. They sent different technicians numerous times to our house to try to figure out what was going on. When we decided to work with a different plumber, they gave us a partial refund which we really appreciated.

One of their employees lives near me and drives a Bruce Solomon truck like he just robbed a bank. He almost ran me off the road this morning and then made an obscene gesture at me. Nice way to advertise your business. You may consider letting your employees know that your business name is on your trucks and to be a bit less maniacal while driving them.

I called the company to schedule an appointment on Wedensday, June 4, 2014 to have the water faucet in the kitchen replaced and I also indicated that the water line to the dish washer needed to be checked because it appeared to be clogged. The person who answered the phone told me that they could replace the kitchen faucet but the water line to the dishwasher they might be able to do because it might be an appliance issue. I said that was fine. We scheduled an appointment for the plumber to come out on Thursday, June 5, 2014 between 10 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. On June 5, 2014, at approximtely 12:24 p.m. I received a phone call from the company apologizing because the plumber would be delayed in coming to the residence because at the present job he was working on it was going to take more time to finish the job (several hours). I was asked would I like to reschedule the appointment for Saturday. I declined the Saturday appointment. I asked when did they think the plumber would be finish to be able to get to me. The representative from the company said they didn't know it could be a couple of hours. I asked what time are we talking about, would they be finished between 3 - 5 p.m. and be able to get to me by 5 p.m. I indicated to person (a lady) on the phone that since I had already taken time off work to be at the residence that I would just wai it out. If the plumber could not be there until after 5 p.m, I would just have to wait it out. She said, she couldn't say but she would keep me updated. I called the company at 3:59 p.m. to find out the status of my service call. The lady put me on hold and when she returned to the phone she indicated that the plumber would be involved with his current project for another several hours. I stated to the lady that she told me that three hours ago when she called me at 12:24 p.m. and said the plumber would be tied up for several hours working still working on the current job. I then told the person on the phone that I called back because my instincts told me that were not planning on coming out to the residence that day. I stressed that I would have appreciated them being honest with me in the beginning and let me know there was no way the plumber was going to be able to commit to my service request on that date. I probably would not have been happy, but I would have appreciated them being truthful with me. Instead they chose to mislead me by saying he was working on a project that turned out to be more time consuming than they thought and it would be another several hours before he would be finished. That was not a problem for me because as I stated earlier I had already taken off from work to wait for the plumber to come to the residence and I would wait for him to get there. I told the person on the phone again that I would have appreciated them being truthful with me in the beginning. I also, stated how would they feel if they came out to the residence after we scheduled an appointment and I wasn's there and didn't call to cancel. Either way, "It is what It Is." Disappointment to say the least. Perhaps, the job was too small. Hmmm!

Brad was excellent; we had requested someone experienced with our type of system and the Company sent out Brad, who was well-versed in radiant heat systems. Brad came the same day we called for assistance and then completed the work the same afternoon/early evening. Another company which I called with the expertise needed was not able to see us for at least a week! We had confidence in Brad's assessment/analysis of the situation, based on his understanding of our system (and other failed systems in our neighborhood). The only complaint is that the price seemed very high; the fixed price system utilized by the Company seems to be tilted very heavily in its favor towards a high labor rate. However, we proceeded with the work as it needed to be fixed by someone who understands our system, so that other issues would not arise. Our next step is to get quotes on an alternative heat system for the lower level; we will seek one from the Company, but also others, as there is no time pressure for that fix at this time.
Description of Work: Company confirmed that there was a leak in our radiant heat system (over 50 years old), and based on observation and experience, advised that the leak was most likely in the lower level zone. A turn-off valve and some other part replacements were needed to close off the leaky zone, which would then allow the other zones (and our hot water system) to operate properly.

They respond quickly, and I know most of the guys now, so I think the staff isn't huge. Their office is very responsive to your requests or needs. It's not just the plumbers who are great, its the plumbers and the office staff. They're all very courteous. The quality of work has always been outstanding, and that is why I continue to use them. They are a little on the expensive side, but I stay with them because they are so dependable.

I don't remember how much they charged me. It was a brand new water heater and I don't know how much it cost. My experience was good. They were responsive and came out the right way. I didn't have hot water for almost a week, and I think part of the delay was because they had to get the things and get the water heater. It wasn't that they couldn't have done it. I had plumbing problems previously and was able to get them to come out pretty quickly. They are the only company I have used since I lived in this house. They are really expensive. It's hard to judge the price because they always have two people that come out. They are always really thorough. It is expensive but it looks like they put a lot of effort in what they are doing.
Description of Work: I use Bruce Solomon Plumbing Heating and Air Inc. for all my plumbing, heating and air conditioning needs. The last I used them was in May 2011 for installing a new water heater.
