The contractor promised to replace step flashing on the chimney and tie each piece of counter flashing into the mortar joint of the chimney. They did not do this. They also promised to leave an extra bundle of shingles for future work, and later said they were unable to do so and would have to order them. I asked to be notified when the shingles were delivered. In the interim, the office manager became hysterical when she repeatedly called me for payment. When they were finally delivered, they charged me a late fee! By this time I was so sick of them I just went ahead and paid just to be rid of them.

Joe came by and took a close look, and said they look fine. No service or any drip edge needed. Finally, a good contractor who doesn't try to up-sell anything to me. Honest contractor is hard to come by nowadays. If you want honest opinion, that is it.

Showed up to look at my house, mid-August. Very professional conduct, asked good questions, went up on the roof to take actual measurements... But after 4 months never provided a quote for the work... Reading reviews on Angie's List, this has apparently happened before - kind of too bad because they otherwise seem to do good work.

Everyone involved has been top notch; we couldn't be happier!! The office staff was extremely quick to make sure all of our needs were met. We were amazed at the zoom speed at which they worked and were brilliantly organized. The installers did a fantastic job and even had someone come out afterwards just to make sure we didn't have any concerns. Thank you to everyone who helped us out! We are very pleased!

Replace rotten wood on much of the exterior trim and clad all the house trim in aluminum

They were courteous, on time, professional, and kept me informed regarding timing and progress of the project. They were more expensive than other contractors estimates, but the service and the performance was worth it!

We hired Clark Construction at the first meeting we had with Gil Clark. There was no need to contact other companies. Gil's professionalism, knowledge of the business, experience, courtesy, and humor impressed us so much we hired the company on the spot. He is great to work with. Always responds quickly to texts, phone calls, email. He was very clear about what his crew would do, how long it would take, and very willing to work with our insurance. The crew showed up on time the day agreed upon, and did all the work in one day! They were amazing. They also cleaned up the area around the house exceptionally well. The roof is beautiful, and you'd never know they repaired an interior ceiling. There were no surprises on the final bill. We wholeheartedly recommend G.H. Clark Contractors. And if you can, get Gil. He's the best.

All they did was climb on roof and tell me I need new gutter guards and would come back in an hour to measure the house. Several days later they called and said I needed new gutters and guards for $4000.

After completion of the roof we noticed that the color of the tiles were off in a few places. Called the company back immediately and they came out to take a look.. They were professional and courteous and promptly fixed the issue. I will definitely use them again and refer them to all my friends and neighbors. (I am a realtor and putting this review in for my neighbor who just used G.H. Clark services. I too have been and will continue using G.H. Clark services).

They did a fantastic job, starting and ending reasonably quickly. Minor issues that arose in this major job were rapidly resolved, and we are extremely pleased with the work they did. This company also replaced our roof and a leaky window.

Every single person I talked with was friendly and professional. I was given a reasonable estimate for replacing the entire roof of my 1935 cottage, and replacing 6 substandard skylights with new ones that will not leak. I was told there might be additional costs for replacing damaged plywood panels, and that was in fact necessary. The crew showed up right on time (6:30 AM) and they were scraping off old shingles by 6:45. Finished in one day, as promised, and did a wonderful job of cleaning up. I could not have asked for a better experience. I asked Gil Clark, the company president, to select a color for my new roof. He chose a gorgeous deep blue that looks perfect on the white cottage. Everything about this experience was just excellent. I don’t often write such a glowing review, but this company deserves it. I would hire them again, but I’m pretty sure I won’t need to!

They were prompt. They came when they said they would. They answered all my questions. Their estimate was very reasonable. In fact, it was relatively small job as far as some guttering companies considered things to go, but they did not consider it too small for them. I thought that was very responsive of them. They didn't try to oversell me on any product. The repair consisted of taking the existing gutter and resecuring it to the house. They could have tried to upsell me with a new gutter. They did give me, if I wanted a new gutter, what that would be. There was no pressure as you experience with some home repair companies. Very down to earth. When they did the job after the next rain I felt like it needed some adjusting, and I called them back and they came and adjusted things. They made everything right. No muss no fuss. I am completely satisfied.

They were here twice. We have never had this kind of work done. There was an error; they put in the wrong window. The window they replaced it with was not functional.

It went great. Came out inspected the roof. Told me what I was looking at in replacing it with approximate price. Then sent me a quote and contract. Filled out the paperwork I need for my association to approve the job. Came out did the job in a timely and orderly fashion. The team was great, friendly and mannerly. Roof looks wonderful. The casing had blown off due to high winds. I wanted it replaced quickly and at a good price. I researched several other providers who were way more expensive. The employees were all very courteous, and satisfied my needs and requirements. The company also followed up with a minor concern that I had, but I am completely satisfied now. I appreciate companies that truly stand behind their work. I will definately use them again if I need service.

Needed a new roof for my house and detached garage. After doing some research, including Angie's List, I chose this contractor. It was a good choice. The owner came to do scope the job, consult about options, and do the estimate. His team appeared on time and worked 12 hours straight to finished the work. The communication throughout the job was excellent. They replaced the shingles, a few weather-damaged plywood sheets, three skylights, vents, and the roof the the shelter for the pool filter/pump unit. They cleaned up the site as a home owner would expect. And I am very pleased with the quality of the work. All in all, first rate. I will consider this contractor for other work in the future.

Provider arrived on time with removal container at 7AM. Team leader Mike checked the weather on his phone, as rain showers was forecast. He decided to go ahead with the removal/installation of roof shingles when the team arrived. He estimated about 3 - 4 hours to complete the job. The team promptly started on the job of removing the shingles. Workers were polite and removed shoes before entering house to use bathroom. Team inspected plywood underneath after removing shingles. All were in good shape, none of the plywood needed replacement. One of the support for the gutters had worked its way out. The team replaced the gutter support for no extra charge. Team then installed drip edges and ice and water shield underlayment across the eaves and valleys. They installed the vent pipe collars, new felt paper and then the shingles. About 3 hours into the job, it began to sprinkle. As the felt was already laid, that provided protection of the plywood from the rain. Mike then climbed on the roof to assist with shingle installation. Toward the end of the job, one of the eaves had been disassembled to remove/install new shingles, and had not be reassembled. I notified Mike, who personally went up and reassembled the eave section. They then installed the ridge vents. They made continuous passes with a magnet rake to collect nails in the yard and around the house, and cleaned the area around the house. I went up on the roof to inspect the job as they were completing the ridge vent installation. Shingles seemed straight (I did not measure them, I just looked), the vent covers were installed and the ridge vent looked great. Entire job took about four hours, which was really impressive. Job went well, the supervisor stopped by during the job to make sure everything was going well. Team left before noon. It continued to rain that day, no leaks were discovered to date. Overall, I am very satisfied with Mike and his team.
