+ -1 moreRing issues: 1. Needed to go up 3 ring sizes 2. My rings were broken 3. All the rings needed cleaning/polishing I was very nervous that the rings wouldn't come out right. Boy was I wrong! The rings look AMAZING! I'm so blown away with the careful attention to detail that was put in by Sam, the Master Jeweler (Dunkirk location). I would definitely recommend these people for any type of work. They were very professional and friendly. Don't hesitate coming here! All I can really say is WOW!
Description of Work: My husband and I needed to get some work done to our rings. We what got done was ring polishing and ring resizing. We decided to take our chances with Dickenson's (Dunkirk location).

+ -1 moreI initially visited Dickinson's out of curiosity. Dolly was the first face I saw, and of course, I and quot;bee-linedand quot; it to the estate jewelry case. Once there, she and I shared stories of jewelry acquired and loved over the years. At once, she struck me as a lovely. warm individual and her impeccable knowledge of her craft was both a surprise and a delight. I purchased a really interesting gold chain and put down a deposit on some diamond earrings the same day. Within a month and a half, Dickinson's had $6000 of my money through various pieces, and though their prices are a bit higher than I am wont to pay, I can't say I regret the expenditure. Dolly was a joy and a pleasure, and I do not exaggerate when I tell you that if it were not for her, it is highly improbable that Dickinson's would have gotten so much of my money. My last purchase there was a smaller pair of heart-shaped diamond earrings, and they, like the other pieces I have bought there, will be among my favorites!
Description of Work: I am a fierce jewelry lover and simply adore unusual pieces, so this review is a pleasure to write! In terms of customer service, attentiveness, and knowledge about jewelry, I have known no better than Dickinson Jeweler's Dolly, the salewoman who provided services. She is warm, exceedingly efficient, and the most attentive salesperson I have ever encountered. Once made, she kept her promises to follow-up on my requests and provide accurate and comprehensive information. She greets me with a hug, and I know that any time I have a request for a piece, no matter how odd and hard to find (like my recent acquisition of two pairs of heart-shaped diamond earrings), she will search heaven and earth to find it. However, if you are looking for anything approximating wholesale pricing, this is not the place for you. This is a fully retail jeweler, and if you do receive a discount, the most you can hope for is 5% off the original price, even if you spend a significant amount ($6000 for me). Even given this fact, I will return to Dickinson's, and for no other reasons than its selection and Dolly herself, I would recommend a peek inside this store. They have wonderful merchandise!

Description of Work: I had some rings cleaned and resized. They also reset the stones.
