There was immediately a lot of interest in the home. She brought people through w/out telling us, until we realized what was happening and asked her to stop. Days before closing--and after we'd already moved--- she insisted there were plumbing issues, brought in a plumber she said she'd used in the past who said actual fixtures had to be replaced (Note--another plumber had already signed off on the items the buyers requested be addressed---this was OUR realtor insisting on this.) When we questioned what was happening, she threatened the completion of the closing. Understand, we were 300 miles away, the closing papers already been signed on our end, it was the buyer and the buyer's agent who was coming to the closing---and her, our agent. The first thing the new owners did was rip out that bathroom and redo it. So we spent all that money, w/ a plumber she's used in the past...., for nothing. Interesting. Finally, she never discussed splitting the RE commissions between the buyer and seller-----since we'd not sold a home previously---we weren't sufficiently self informed re. this---and ended up paying BOTH the BUYERS and SELLERS agents commissions--- $60,000 that should have been split---$30K to us; $30K to the buyers. Because our real estate agent never addressed it with us. We'd never use her again and we'd never recommend her. Ever.

It was a short sale and took almost a year to close. The case is very complicated due to multiple liens involved. The mortgages and title insurance policy were transferred due to the bankruptcy/ acquisition. As the contact person to deal with the bank and other lien holder, Crina had to make numerous phone calls to follow up with all the parties involved and even take the role to facilitate the information sharing among the negotiator, the attorney, the title company and the lien holders. And eventually she pulled it off. She is also very professional and responsive to our inquiries as you can imagine how anxious we were while waiting for so long. We are glad we stick around for long enough to see it through, also feel lucky and very grateful to have Crina as the seller agent to handle the case. Our settlement agent told us that only about one fifth of short sale could be closed. So I guess there must be a good agent like Crina standing behind each of them. Keep up the good work, Crina.
