+ -1 moreHoward Kandel came out to help us plan, design, estimate what we could do, and recommended a source for cabinetry and a wonderful kitchen designer (Hedy Shashaani with Jack Rosen Kitchens). He also told us where to go (and suggested whom to see) to select appliances, counter tops, backsplash tiles. This all took time and effort, but we did it with Howard's encouragement, and the end result is exactly as we had hoped! We were told to estimate about 6-8 weeks for the work to be done, after the cabinetry and appliances were ordered and we had a start date; Passover was coming, and two very large seders (requiring us to have time to learn to work the new appliances and use the new kitchen!). Every workman who came into our house was professional and courteous, attentive to his work, clearly very good at his particular craft, and basically wonderful to have around. Heading up our job was Tim Brubaker, who ran things calmly, smoothly, and efficiently, a pleasure to have here every day for the entire time, and quite expert and caring about the job. We are so happy with the completed kitchen -- and with our choice of contractor. We highly recommend working with Kandel Construction Group for any remodeling you have in mind.
Description of Work: We replaced everything in our kitchen and built an entirely new look, very sleek and shiny and modern, but we did not make architectural changes. We also kept the concrete floor we already had. Kandel Construction was hired for the job and basically to do all the actual work of demolition and construction, installation, and finishing.
