Description of Work: Hallmark replaced 12 of my old windows with new vinyl ones.

Description of Work: Don't worry...It'll blend. Don't hire these guys unless you can spend a lot of money. Jeff Hall, from Hallmark Construction is a salesperson. Details follow. On March 23rd I wrote a contract for gutters and a few fascia boards with Jeff Hall at Hallmark Construction. They also have a Next Day Gutters franchise...which is how I found them. 1) The project was scheduled for March 28th but did not begin until one week later. Not a problem. A week after that I arrived at the house to find that the gutters were not attached to the downspouts. This was a problem. The workmen on the property said that Hallmark had been there Monday and not back all week. When I asked Jeff about the hanging downspouts he said, "If you'll check your contract, you'll see that downspouts are not included." But it did say "use existing downspouts" which does not mean leave them hanging off the house. 2) Jeff said that the replacement fascia boards would blend with the existing structure. He said "don't worry. It'll blend. It will look good...but I don't paint." It looks terrible. Pictures are attached. 3) Last Thursday, when Jeff "completed" the project, I asked him not to charge my card until I had the work checked by someone else, he said, "I'm going to run this through and you can deal with my accounting department." Within a week some slats Jeff Hall placed over vents at the back of the house were falling down! His brother, Zeke, says I have a squirrel problem. The contractors at the house now said that a screen should have been put over the vents before the slats were replaced. So, live and learn. Don't hire these guys unless you can spend a lot.

Description of Work: Hallmark removed our vinyl siding and trivial foam board insulation and replaced that with full 1/2" OSB sheathing, Tyvek house wrap, and Hardie plank narrow (4") cement siding board. The trim is Azek with aluminum rake and over-window parts. Our aim was to replace the un-sheathed, un-wrapped vinyl with a high quality cement board. And to sheath and wrap the house. The final cost was a tad higher than the estimate because the rake boards needed attention to be sure that the final job was trimmed properly. It was about $800 on a $26K project. So I want to choose "right on" but must choose "higher than estimate" to be 100% honest. Don't let that bother you. They hung light fixtures at the end of a long hot day, gave me some shutter hanger parts, and re-did a section of trim that didn't work well along our back deck.

Description of Work: Scope of work was to renovate 16X19 backyard including removal of chain link fence and installation of wood privacy fence with gate. Yard to be done in flagstone, old stairs to be removed and replaced with flagstone staircase to yard.
