The old sump pump system was a mess; it had frozen during the winter allowing water to accumulate in the basement. At the time my basement windows were being replaced by an excellent contractor, and he recommended T Marcum plumbing. Mr. Marcum came the same day, he figured out how to route the water out of the house properly. He not only solved a huge problem for me, he made the basement look so much better. The new pipes and sump pump look fine and work perfectly. He came promptly, gave me a reasonable price up front, and he cleaned up after himself. What more could I ask? He has been back a second time for a smaller job, which also went well. I believe Mr. Marcum knows what he is doing, he seems professional and efficient and I trust him to do good work at a fair price. The slogan on his truck says it all, and quot;Right the First Timeand quot;. I plan to hire him to install a water conditioning system next month.

I'm torn about using him again. It would depend upon the job

During Huricane Sandy, I was calling plumbers and did not have much success speaking with anyone. T Marcum was able to return my phone call for very quickly. I told T Marcum that I had bought a generator because I had been told previously that they were preferable to the battery powered sump pump, he told me that he was a one man operation and that he had to pay $500 to be listed on Angie's List and $35 for every job that he gets from Angie's List. He was very angry on the phone and his professionalism was not up to par. I can not believe that he would lie to me out right.
