Description of Work: The crew did a good job however they didn't clean up the wood shavings around the fence posts and I had to ask them to pick up the chunks of wood. The issue I have with the Company is after they received my deposit I had to call them after 5 weeks and ask if they were coming and miraculously they were available the next day. After the job was done I got 2 emails in one day asking for the check but 5 weeks without a word about my project.

Description of Work: They installed 88 linear feet of 4' high and 28 linear feet of 3' high black ornamental aluminum fencing along with 2 gates in the 4' high fencing along the front of our house (one 4' wide single gate and one 10' wide double gate). | |We were very pleased with their work and the fence looks as good as the day they installed it. (The person who mows our lawn actually ran into and bent the rod that holds our double gate with his lawn mower. Capital Fence worked with us to get a new rod).

Description of Work: They installed a deer fence around the perimeter of my back yard. As is often the case the sales person was not entirely transparent about the difficulties the installers would face as parts of my back yard are quite uneven and rocky. So particularly in one place the fencing from the side of the yard to the side of the house does not look very good and is bubbled in places. However, I did not make a fuss as it was clear fencing was difficult in this area. However during the summer I noticed a fox and cats in the back yard and in investigating noticed that there was a significant gap between the edge of the house and beginning of the fencing. The gap was about 5 inches. I called the salesperson and after some reluctance he had someone come out to assess. Their claim was that the pole edge could not be moved closer to the house as there was an obstruction but that they would try to figure out a way to close the gap. However that was in early December and nothing has transpired. So I am disappointed in their follow--up and customer service following installation.

Description of Work: I shopped around with three companies (all found on Angie's List and all rated very highly) for the best price, ratings, and responsiveness. This company was the best price and was very responsive to our situation with underground obstructions under part of the fence. They installed approx. 100 feet of chain link fence around our swimming pool. The two installers were prompt, courteous, and worked extremely well together as a team, finishing the job in just under three hours. The two of them were so much in synch with each other that they made the whole job look easy. I would recommend this company without any hesitation.

Description of Work: They replaced the split rail fence in my backyard, including installing plastic coated wire mesh. And after some initial confusion with their estimator (who they no longer use), the company was responsive and willing to work around my needs (I have 4 dogs who love their backyard). Without even asking they proposed the material that I preferred (black walnut) rather than pressure treated wood (junk in my mind) and were significantly under the other two contractors that I got quotes from. I'd use them again in a flash, but hopefully won't need another fence for at least 20 years. BTW, they hauled away the old fence and did not require that I cut back the ivy growing on it before hand.

They also replaced two posts of a privacy fence. | |The estimate was done promptly by Mike Trail, who was very nice and professional. We got another estimate at a similar price (along with one that was much higher) from other companies, but I liked the fact that Capital Fence uses hemlock rails with locust posts (as opposed to pressure-treated pine or all hemlock). | |The work crew arrived on time and was very professional. Initially, a couple of the cedar boards they used for the gate were stained, and we asked for them to replace them, which they did promptly a few days later. Now the fence and gate look great, and we are very pleased with the result. | |A couple of months after the fence was installed, a large branch fell off a tree and crushed a section of the rails. Since we did not want to pay the $300 minimum charge for a repair, we asked if they could just cut and drop off the rails for us to install ourselves (they needed to be custom length), and they promised to do so for $30. Soon after, the rails were replaced, and all we had to do was reattach the mesh. This was great follow-up service, and Mike Trail was very responsive on email as he had been before. | |I highly recommend Capital Fence!

Description of Work: Capital installed a 6' semi privacy fence with two gates for my back yard pool. The owner David responded quickly for an estimate and had a price that was tough to beat. They installed the fence on schedule and were able to deal with a very difficult rocky yard. They complete all of their installations "In House" and I would recommend them highly.

Description of Work: The company replaced 480 ft of three-rail split rail fence with three small gates and one double gate. The fence and gates were covered with plastic coated wire. The job included removing and clearing the old fence. All posts were set in concrete. Posts are black locust, with hemlock rails.
