carpet cleaners
+ -1 moreGreat. Well worth the the time and money with the right person. Do request Nick. Not sure if I would trust anyone else.
Description of Work: Called Ace Cleaning Service from a coupon I found in Clipper Magazine. The lady who answered was professional and courteous and I was able to schedule an appt.for the next day. After I scheduled the appt., I found the really negative review here on Angie's list from 2007. So, needless to say, I was really apprehensive about having them clean my carpets. I called in the next day and they gave me the phone number of the technician that was going to do the work so I could speak to him directly. He calmed my fears about the other negative review. When Nick (the technician arrived), he explained the whole process to me and explained what he thought we needed and what we could realistically expect. He worked very hard and was very thorough and our carpets looked the best they have in years. So, in summary, if you decided to use Ace Cleaning service, I would specifically ask for Nick N. I know they typically subcontract for these type of jobs so you may get someone totally different. Nick did a great job for us so I would try to request him.

carpet cleaners
+ -1 moreOnce during his visit, I told him about a spot he didn't get up. He said it wouldn't come out. His big equipment was brought into my home and he used my bath to get water to fill the container. I didn't like that, but said nothing. He seemed in a hurry and unfamiliar with carpet cleaning. After he left I noticed many areas of the carpet were laden with water and spots. I called Ace, the lady said I should have called before he left. I asked to speak with the manager, he wasn't in. Over the next few days I called several times a day to speak with manager. Always promised he would call back. I reinterated my problem with each call. I finally got Carol at the 410 # who was sympathetic and arranged app't for someone else to come redo the carpets. I stayed home that day and the man never arrived. I called Carol and told her. I lost the $, never heard from the manager. Just horrible service. I couldn't find an address or website, only ads in the PENNYSAVER.
Description of Work: Ace cleaning service advertises in the Pennysaver magazine in the Md.,D.C, area. Other #'s are listed as 202-328-8353 and 800-962-2002. I asked for their special 3 rooms and hallway carpet steam cleaning which inclued carpet protection, mildew retardant deordorizing and sanitizing. (all the extras). A man and his helper were in my home about 45 minutes.
