AWFUL doesn't even begin to describe. We will never use this service again and would discourage anyone from using this company. The first few cleanings were decent, then switched to a new team that were inconsistent, smoked in our house, unprofessional and extremely poor quality. The floors looked like ****. There was dirt behind the toilets, mounds of dust left behind, etc. The owner, Rose, is not pleasant or responsive. About a month ago, the team drove through our newly regraded yard and got stuck, leaving 150 feet with 1 foot deep tire marks. It cost over $850 to regrade and fix. They refused to pay 2/3 of the invoice, after committing to pay the full invoice. Then, during this time, they tried to call to raise the rate, which was already way too high for the poor quality of service, and then never showed up to clean again. We own a towing business, it could have been a simple call to the us, as the owners of our property, and we could have pulled them out easily. When we called, she denied all of the above and hung up on us and said she'd mail back the key. She claimed someone else must have a key to our house and smoked in the house. Baffling. In the state of MD, malicious destruction refers to willfully and maliciously destroying, injuring, or defacing property belonging to someone else. The charge and potential sentence you face for this Maryland property damage offense depends wholly on the value of the damage committed. If the damage is greater than $500, you will face misdemeanor charges and be sentenced to up to 3 years in prison and fines of up to $2,500.

It went okay. They did good work. They were late but they did okay. I might use them in the future.

It went well! the company was very professional and showed up on time and ready to go. Our apartment was sparkling when they left. We have two dogs and a lot of stuff, so they did a great job working around that. We will definitely use them again!

I couldn't have been more pleased with the cleaning. The service sent three girls and they had the job done in 2 1/2 hours. Everything was nice and clean and sparkly and the rugs turned out wonderful.

In the beginning the service was great. But over time there were some issues. Despite asking the owner when someone new would be coming to my house, I was repeatedly surprised by NEW people. Although my schedule is fairly flexible, I had asked, on numerous occasions, to let me know if the time of service was going to vary from the normal (11am-1pm). This request was NOT honored. When I spoke to the owner about this problem today, she told me that I needed to understand her needs!!!! The employees of the company have always been good workers, and, quite frankly, more professional than the boss. At one time this company was cleaning my house, my son's house, my son's office and his grandmother's apartment.. I would have thought that this amount of business from one family would have warranted a little more effort to please the customer.

I purchased the housecleaning service from Angies List, but when i called to schedule service, A Step Above the Rest said they did not service my location. However, they fulfilled the coupon and within a week came to my house. The 2 woman that arrived were very professional and friendly. They went far above and beyond what I ever expected. My house looked amazing. I wish they would include my area. I would have them come every other week! I highly recommend them!!

This company was one of the coupon providers, and they did an A- job overall. Not "mother in law visit" clean, but a very good job.

When i initially called for the appt it took the supervisor a day to call me back to make the appt. They did good work I just wished they used stronger cleaning agents in these areas. I like a fresh scent and I saw a couple faint shoe prints in kitchen after they left. In the master bathroom, my husband leaves all his shaving creams etc all over his counter. The cleaners organized and left them arranged neatly on the counter and also left the love note I left for him on his mirror. They didn't disturb that item. In the shower, the walks were cleaned but there is some tough calcium deposits on my shower fixtures from well water and they were not successful in removing all deposits. They started at counter level and finished with the tile floor leading from the kitchen and out the door to leave all the floors free from tracking on their way out.

So far, I have been very happy with them. Rose does a great job of communicating. My 2000 square foot house, 1 occupant, is $90 to clean if I do 2 cleanings a month. Highly recommended.

I was so please that the three women sent to clean my house were so willing to work with me to shift my 3 dogs around to keep them out of the way. They were expert at their tasks and very, very nice.

The cleaners arrived about 15 minutes early. I was to have 2 cleaners for 2 hours. They left 15 minutes early from the time they began cleaning. Items were not moved when dusted, but rather dusted around. The floors and bathrooms were adequately cleaned and they did bring their own cleaning supplies/equipment. The house did not have a "clean" smell upon completion. I did not feel anyone was particularly friendly, although Rose, the owner, was responsive and accommodating. I would have hoped they had done an outstanding, rather than a fair, job in hopes of generating a future customer.

It all went very well. They arrived on time and eager to get started. They did a very thorough job. I was very happy with the quality of their work.

I purchased the deal with Angie's list and they cleaned all of my windows for $89.00. I had some very large windows as well, not just the average double hung windows. They also cleaned my front glass door, as well as the windows in the storm door. I was not expecting this! IF they offer another deal I would totally purchase another deal. They did an excellent job! I would recommend them to anyone.

I was called when they are 15 minutes away from house, when I got there they were waiting in front of the door!! Very easy to communicate and told them what need to be done and every request was granted. No hassel, very pleasant experience.

ARRIVED ON TIME, SURVEYED JOB, LISTENED TO CUSTOMER CONCERNS, DIVIDED WORK BETWEEN TWO CLEANERS, WORKED EFFICIENTYLY, GAVE EXTRA ATTENTION TO DIFFICULT AREAS

They did a thorough cleaning of our new (used) house before move in. We liked there work so well we hired them for a biweekly cleaning.

I had an excellent experience with Rose. When I called to use the coupon as well as a second time to squeeze in a move-in cleaning, she was very responsive and explained what the crew would and would not be able to do in two hours. I really appreciated her flexibility in finding a crew on short notice. Unfortunately, due to the hectic pace of moving day, I was not at either property for the entire time of the cleaning and I do think that my lack of supervision may have led to the poor quality of the jobs. The crew that was sent to the townhouse (which was to be cleaned before we moved everything in) was also the crew that was going to the condo later (after we had moved everything out). As i showed them around the townhouse, I explained that the kitchen needed the most attention from top to bottom. The floors, the pantry, the cabinets, the drawers, the appliances, even the sink need some intense scrubbing. I then showed them to the two and a half baths that were available, explaining that the master batch was the next priority due to the shower stall and floor. I concluded the directions by again reiterating that the most important room was the kitchen and the masterbath was secondary. I did not need them to vacuum (as the carpets were steam-cleaned 2 days prior), I did not need intense dusting, I did not need them to clean the entire house from top to bottom. They brought in their supplies (including one of those steamer mop things) and said that everything would be good to go. Fast forward 2.5 hours. The same cleaning crew arrived at the condo just as the movers were concluding. I walked them around and explained that the condo was generally clean, however things like wiping down the fridge, cleaning the cabinets, drawers and countertops as well as the ceiling fans, mouldings and corners also needed to be dusted. I also explained that bathrooms were optional and that I did not expect them to vacuum (as I would be doing that myself the next day). I stayed behind to handle a few more last minute things as the ladies began cleaning. They used a flexible fiber duster to reach to the top of the plant shelves (3rd floor and loft meant a lot of dusting in high places). I saw the dust falling onto the floor and was impressed. As I was preparing to settle the bill and tip, I checked in with the lead who was handling the bathroom. I explained about the kitchen cabinets again and then told them to just lock the door when they were finished. I settled the bill, left a generous tip (they had performed in total 4 hours worth of work for me). As I was driving to the townhouse, I was excited to see the work they had been able to accomplish. Instead, I met an angry and sullen husband who was extremely upset that the counters in the kitchen had not been wiped down, who pointed out to me that no one had touched the refrigerator, that the cabinets still had crumbs in them and he clearly showed me how his shoes were still sticking to the kitchen floor. I was so upset, anxious about the movers and now I also had a husband who was now questioning what exactly we had just spent $240 (including tips) on. As we were directing the movers, we noticed that they had also failed to clean the master bathroom as instructed. But they did manage to dust the railing and the ceiling fan in the master bedroom! We were so disappointed that we had wasted our money on a move-in cleaning when clearly, they had only touched the house in a superficial manner. Yes, they wiped down the stainless steel fridge and it was spotless. But they didn't clean a single empty shelf inside! And yes, the cleaning crew very thoughtfully folded the toilet paper in the bathrooms into a triangle, like they do at the hotels. But they didn't clean the toilets or sinks, let alone the tub or shower! At this point, we just finished with the movers (who were awesome! and also on Angie's List). We ended the day as new homeowners and figured we would conquer the condo the next day. At the condo, I was amazed still at the lack of work that had been accomplished by two women in a two hour timeframe. None of the cabinets were wiped down, the fridge was still a mess, the bathrooms were only adequate, none of the blinds were dusted and none of the floors had been washed. When we went up to the loft and saw the plant shelves from above, we realized that while their initial tool for dusting in high areas was impressive, it left one long narrow clean line (at the tip of the tool, I presume) while a virtual SEA of DUSTBUNNIES resided on the ledges. Mind you, this was all simple and blatant as the loft had a spiral staircase to go up and it was easy to see where the dusting needed to be done. I just could not believe how...how....how unprofessional the cleaning crew was to not even inspect the work that had completed before signing off on the job. I'm sure my level of frustration is coming through on this review. The kicker of it all? I can't help but second-guess myself and ask if it all would have been different if I had supervised their every move. But then again, if I have to supervise everything the cleaning crew was to do, I might as well have just done it myself. Oh wait, I still had to do that. :-(

Everything was good. They showed on time and for the 4 hours that they were here everything was pretty clean.

I don't like them. I stopped using them after three cleaning sessions. Their staffs are not very attentive to detail. They did not address the problems that I reported to them.

I purchased the "big deal" for housecleaning and couldn't be more pleased. The ladies who cleaned were pleasant, extremely helpful and did an outstanding job. The company owner was very flexible in letting me use my coupon past the expiration date. I really appreciated this. The cleaners were thorough and left my house looking amazing.

They do things for us such as cleaning a few of our bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning the microwave, etc. We are satisfied with their service.
