Mike did an awesome job. Absolutely perfect with a great attitude. Nice guy.
Description of Work: Mike routed TREX decking boards that were installed incorrectly by another contractor. The boards originally had no space between them. Mike also installed a front porch overhang at our front door. Mike also installed soffit under an existing sunroom where the previous contractor had put luan plywood instead of soffit.

I did not have any work done by this company. HOWEVER, I live across the street from the home they are currently building. I'm reporting on this company because I think it's important that a contractor not only respects the family he is building for but the other established families surrounding the project. With that being said, the problem I've had with this builder is the fact he has a total lack of respect for people and their homes surrounding the one he's working on. Michael Jenkins appears to be more of a job foreman than a respectable business owner. He also subs out all parts of construction after talking to the numerous different sub contractors working on the site. He also apparently doesn't have a problem with employing Mexican individuals who barely speak a lick of English either. To understand my frustration I have to explain the neighborhood situation. We live on a street without sidewalks and curbs with the street width being only wide enough for 1 car with a passing car pulling to the side to pass. This contractor had multiple deliveries with oversized trucks that were over the weight and illegal to bring onto our road. He had a company deliver roof trellises and put them halfway out into the road. Making the roadway barely passable as well as not setting up road cones or caution tape. On top of that the multiple contractors repeatedly park across from my driveway which than prevents me from backing into or out of my driveway. They used my driveway as a turnaround for their work trucks as well as heavy equipment and left numerous tire marks and chipped the edges of my driveway. They blocked my neighbors drive way on multiple occasions and at one point left tire marks in a newly black topped driveway and when the builder (M. Jenkins) was called he said it wasn't his problem. The cherry on top is the fact that Jenkins had an excavator break ground but when he did they broke a drain pipe which would have ended up flooding my front yard than was ticked off when a neighbor called the county which forced construction to stop until he fixed a $9,000 problem he made his home buyer pay so we hear. Most recently the dumpster that was on the front yard was moved and placed in the street. Let me remind you that our street is narrow and really only allows one car to pass while the other pulls to the side. This dumpster was placed across from my driveway which made it almost impossible to back my trucks in or back out once pulled in. The police were called as well as the dumpster company and the builder by many neighbors. It was removed but should never have been placed on a high traffic narrow county road. While it was in the street it made people drive on my front lawn (since we don?t have curbs) in order to avoid it. I?ve also had to run off workers who think the next door neighbors power outlet and hose faucet are for their use. I know the contractor has been called numerous times about the workers using their power and water but doesn?t seem to care. If he did he would be at the job site and making sure they aren?t used. I guess you can?t expect much when the builder subs out all the construction work to different companies. The bottom line is that M. Jenkins isn't at the jobs site enough to know what the men at the site are doing along with the fact he has no respect for an established neighborhood. The fact is, you can't treat a old neighborhood like a new construction development. Remember, you might enjoy your new home he builds but your neighbors aren't going to be too friendly after dealing with such a inconsiderate builder and disrespectful man. I?m sure he wouldn?t let any of the workers treat his home the way he let them treat my lawn and driveway and the neighboring house?s water, power and property. I?m also sure he wouldn?t want his wife to deal with the inconveniences that I and the neighboring homeowners wife had to deal with.
Description of Work: The builder is building a home across the street from mine. This is a total new construction home from raw land.
