Old Line Chimney was responsive and professional at taking care of sweeping the chimney and inspecting it before a house sale. Brittany in the front office is friendly and very helpful. She's a great first impression of the company!

Old Line Chimney Sweeps was very responsive, and it was easy to schedule an appointment. When the tech came out to have a look at what was needed and provide an estimate he was friendly, polite, very professional, thorough and explained everything very well; no high pressure sales tactics. When the team came back to do the work they were on time, the two guys worked very well together, and worked quickly. They took pictures so I could see the finished product (crown repair); they patiently answered all my questions, and told me to call if I had any questions or if there were any problems with their work. So far, no problems with the work they've done, but it's only been a few days. However, I thought these guys were great!

Everything went very well. They two workers were very courteous. The cleaned up all the resulting mess entirely.

Dryer vent they routed twice, and got two 5-gallon buckets of lint - it was BAD! Will have them come back annually from now on. Very thorough writeup on both. Both guys were very respectful, clean and professional. Climbe up on the outside, very high second story dryer vent and completely cleaned it - routered it at least 2-3 times.

Very courteous, knowledgeable and thorough. Didn't try to sell me on services I didn't need. Listened to my concerns and made recommendations. James came back to take a second look at what could have been an issue, but after further inspection was not. Very, very pleased with this company.

They came and performed the inspection on two chimneys I knew were in need of repair and wanted to get an idea of the repairs during negotiation during the purchase of a property. They came out and did their inspection, but took over a week and a half to get the report back to me on the condition of the chimneys and the extent to the repairs that needed to be made. I could not wait and was unable to account for the actual cost of repairs and grossly undervalued the amount of repair needed to the property. That was 100% my mistake, but my main issue was with the timeliness of their report back to me. The quality of the work performed was good and thorough and based on other people's responses I'm sure they are a great company. I plan to have them do the repair work for the chimneys at my house, but plan to wait until I can save up!

The Old Line Chimney staff were very courteous, professional, and did an excellent job. After having several different companies tell us what was wrong and what they would do to fix it, we felt Old Line Chimney's staff was very honest about what repairs were needed. Also they were all firemen, which made us feel even more comfortable with the safety assessments they made regarding our chimney. We plan to use them annually for maintenance on our chimney, air ducts, and dryer vent.

I was very pleased with the work that Old Line did. The owner was very helpful when I was choosing my fireplace insert and did not try to force me to buy the brand that they sell. They were able to do all the work in one day and they were very mindful of keeping our house clean. A few days after the work was done we fired up our boiler for the first time and I had some concerns with the install so I called them. The owner came out immediately to check on everything and figure out what was wrong. It turns out that there were no problems with the install, just some break in on the flue liner, but I was very happy that he was so responsive. It is summer, so I have not had a chance to start a fire yet, but it looks great and I can't wait for our first fire. I would highly recommend this company.

We were quite pleased with their work. We did ask them for a quote for extending the chimney and they never did get back to us with the quote. But, they did a very good job. I don't think I was here on the day that they came, I think my husband was so I really don't know much. Their price was not unreasonable. I know that my husband was very pleased and he is pickier than I am. He had no complaints. He thought they were very respectful and professional. They put mats down. I would have given them an "A" if they had come back with the second quote that we asked for. I don't think that there was any reason why we wouldn't use them again, in fact, we probably will.

-Use these guys! James and his team are honest hard working group that provides a quality service without leaving you feeling that you have been taken advantage of. -As an architect and military engineer I often play dumb to see how honest contractors are with me... James left me impressed with his honesty and forthrightness to say the least. -James will take the time to explain in detail ever thing that is required and why it is important not just now but in the future. -We had a number of other contractors provide estimates with little in the way of "how and why" how they arrived at their estimate much less what exactly was included in the scope. Each of them was always in too much of a hurry to make sure we understood. -James and Old Line team won't do that and are clearly interested more in the long term relationship as well as ensuring we received a solid project.

They were very knowledgeable, efficient and professional. They cleaned the chimney, and recommended a solution for my backdraft problem. The price was very reasonable. They entered my home and went straight to work both inside the firebox and on top of the roof. They were finished in less than an hour. Great Job!!

I didn't like doing business with them at all. I found them to be reasonably priced, but the worker was rude to me when I asked him questions about what he was doing. Furthermore, he never followed up with an estimate for additional work on the chimney.

I found them very helpful. I was very pleased. They went up to the attic and found that light was coming through. There were other two companies who were charging $80 to $100 to come and look at it. It is a lot of money. I am 80 years old. Looking at the zip code, they know there are a lot of pricey homes around, and they target me. I couldn’t have me more pleased. It cost me four hundred and some dollars to have the crown repaired and the flashing taken care of. I haven’t used my fire place in 50 years, I didn’t need a stainless steel liner to go up from there as I was not going to be using it. All I wanted was, I didn’t want the water come in. There was a wet spot on my ceiling in the hall. The young man went up the attic and found the light shining through. The flashing had to do with the roof and that was causing the leak. I definitely needed the repair on the crown, and he did that. I had already spent $2800 a few weeks before for doing the waterproofing. I keep up with home is a brick home, and it is brick from ground all the way up to the top. It is a very well constructed home and 50 some years old. I really do maintain it. I found them in a booklet in a local newspaper and thought they were right people to call. I called them to come out and have a look and asked them about their charge to come out and give an estimate. They said they don’t charge to come out. They came the next day and did the work right then. They said they would give the price like anyone else no matter which zip code I was in. There were two jobs that they did, one was hundred and some dollars and the other was three hundred some dollars. They didn’t spend much time here. I wasn’t paying for their time, I was paying for their expertise. They saved me money. They did get to the root of my problem. They were right on time. I would use them in the future if need be. If I knew someone who needed a chimney work, I would say at least to give them a try and let them tell what they believe is the cause of the problem. I do want them to give a good recommendation.

I found them on my own and not on Angie's List. They were very, very good. I give them the highest ratings and will use them again if needed in the future.
