We were very disappointed in the quality control of this company. After coming home to a house that was poorly cleaned for the second time, we cancelled the service. The LAST thing I want to do after paying for a cleaning service is to have to re-clean my house. Some of the employees do a very poor job. Many of them talk on their phones with one hand and attempt to clean with the other. We have witnessed this on many occasions. The first cleaner who was sent used OUR paper towels to clean the whole house. Needless to say it did not get clean. Misty sent us a new team. That team was excellent, but they did not stay with the company. The third time a single person was sent, and she did a nice job, but got hurt cleaning our shower, so another girl was sent with her. They were okay for awhile, but that didn't last long either. The last 2 girls were done with our 3 story house in about an hour. They must have been in a BIG hurry because they didn't even bother to wipe down the appliances or vacuum the stairs, they basically just did a quick "once over." I work hard for my money, and I am not about to pay $120.00 for a quick once over. In my opinion, there should be more quality control. To Misty's credit, she was willing to send people to re-clean, but after a few times we just got tired of the poor quality of the service. If you want a good thorough house cleaning every time, this is NOT the company for you.

They did a good and are reasonably priced but are pretty slow. Also, the house smelled like bleach, not that lemon fresh just cleaned scent. I would use them again but I may try someone else next time.

We contacted Misty Clean based on the reviews at Angie's List. Our initial inquiry was responded to quickly and we received a price quote the same day. Very efficient communications with Chrissy. We did not meet the cleaning team, but there were some surprises for us when we got home. We've had professional cleaners (other companies) in our home before, so we felt we knew what to expect. The bottom line is that we were quite disappointed and underwhelmed. I won't list every little issue, but there were various large pieces of furniture (wine cabinet, end table, stairway table) that did not get dusted whatsoever. I'm not talking about dust "settling". I'm talking about, it was never touched, you could write your name in the dust. In the master bathroom, they pulled up the rugs, put them in the laundry room. It looks like they swept that floor, but they certainly didn't damp mop it. The glass doors in the bathroom were cleanER, but still not quite clean. There was still work to be done there. Dusting was minimal. There were cobwebs in the foyer, the rug was not vacuumed, there was debris in the corners. I truly don't think they touched the hardwood floors. There were smears, tennis shoe tracks on the floors and we don't wear our shoes in the house. On top of all the cleaning not being done, when we got home from work that evening, we found that our television input source had been changed to HDMI, which we never use. Once we fixed that, we found that the TV was on a channel that we have never watched. So, this raises many questions in my mind regarding my cleaning experience, but I surely hope that all the things that weren't done wasn't because of a movie or show being watched. The positives of the cleaning include great communications with Chrissy, the house was cleaner, and the things they really cleaned looked great. There were just too many things they skipped. We waited four days to see if we would receive a callback regarding our experience, but we did not. To me, this sends a clear message that they are not too interested in customer experience feedback. I guess that's what Angie's List is for! It was defiinitely not the best cleaning and it was nowhere near our expectations. We did not get our money's worth.

We have a policy that prohibits employees to turn on a client's T.V./radios, even if the client suggest that it is okay to do so. We do this so that the level of quality will not be compromised. I called Misty Clean to schedule a top-to-bottom cleaning and I couldn't be happier! Chrissy could not fit me in for the day that I wanted but called me the very next day to let me know that another client had moved her regular time. This allowed me to get the time slot I initially wanted. The 2 girls that came to my house were very professional and got to work right away. The cleaners pointed out things that they wanted to clean that I had not expected them to do. They did leave a checklist and I did look at it to make sure they were not just "checking things off". Everything was completed! Everything was perfect! Right down to them asking if they could give our dog a treat before they left. We will be hiring them for biweekly visits now that I have seen how they handled the first cleaning.

The house was relatively clean when the movers finished getting the tenants out of the house but since the buyers wanted a thorough professional cleaning, I opted to hire Misty Clean who specialized in "Move-out" cleanings knowing that the entire house would be scrubbed top to bottom and our very picky buyer would not have any last minute problems. They were even going to clean windows and all the woodwork so I felt the price was fair. They were due to show up at noon. Since that seemed pretty late in the day to get started, we assumed an entire crew would show up. At 9 am, the tenant got a knock on the door and there stood a very young girl with a small bucket of cleaning supplies, an upright vacuum and 2 magic erasers. She apologized for being early but asked if she could start. The tenant let her in and immediately called me in a panic. I went down around 11:30 and this poor girl had not even finished all 5 bathrooms. I called Misty--no answer and I left a message. I texted her cell phone. I even emailed her to let her know I was not happy! I told her it was a huge house and that there was no way this young girl could do it alone.I kept calling and then finally went back on their website and found another number which got me to her partner, Chrissy. I told her Chrissy our problem and she said they did not have anyone else they could send to help. I went off on her. I then asked if they would be sending more people in the morning since this was not going to get done in one day. She told me that everyone was booked and that I should not worry that this girl would be able to clean it all in one day. Later , the tenant called me to say that another girl showed up and was cleaning the kitchen. She helped for about an hour or hour and a half. I went back down to see how it looked. The oven had not been cleaned, the cupboards and drawers had not been wiped out, the fridge had not been cleaned. I again called Misty Clean to complain. Again I was told that I was not to worry, it would be done. At the end of a very long day for the original girl, she went home. I emailed Misty Clean.The next morning, 2 other ladies came in and asked what had not been done. I told them. They worked furiously, finished up and left. Unfortunately, there was still trim work to be cleaned and, the room above the garage had not even been touched by Misty Clean--The tenant and I did that one. Our buyer came in to do an early walkthrough to see what still needed to be done. He made note of dust on the upper corners of the walls, tops of windows and doors that had not been wiped, etc, so I kept cleaning one more day . We had had the carpet professionally cleaned by someone else so these girls didn't even have to vacuum the upstairs. The tenant and I finally cleaned the stove and wiped out the fridge just to keep things moving. I never did talk to Misty until she called looking for her money. I let her know that I was very unimpressed with their work. Her company might be great at day to day cleaning of homes. The employees were great, but when it comes to this huge job, it was a disaster from start to finish. Overcharged and underwhelmed!
Description of Work: They were supposed to do a full Move-out cleaning of a 3500 sq ft house in Annapolis. This included wiping down all the wood work, wiping out the drawers and cupboards, full cleaning of the kitchen and even washing the windows. Their website gives an incredible description of what they intended to do. But, for some reason they must have forgotten to tell their employees what it entailed because they did not do the work as promised.

Dear Member, With all due respect we did send a total of five (5) cleaners to the home in a 2-day span and put many hours into obtaining the satisfaction of the home. On the 2nd day the cleaners arrived, they were informed by my office manager to not leave until she spoke to the tenant to insure that everyone is happy. The tenant was very happy and said so on several accounts. I understand your position as a real estate agent in trying to make your client happy and the tenant happy at the same time. We had no choice but to accept her answer and since we never heard from you until I called a month later inquiring about the invoice we were left unaware as to your feelings as well. We always send Thank You letters after a job is complete allowing the client to give feedback. I do know that one was sent to you and your client. We never like to leave a client feeling disappointed. I know that you’ve said you had problems with other cleaning companies in the past. We do not want to fall into that category. First, the positives. I was very pleased with the company's quick response. They work hard to make sure you receive a call back if they did miss your call. They were also professional, both the office staff and cleaning staff. The company also provided an estimate via email within a few minutes of my call, and they were able to fit me into the schedule within a day. By and large, I wouldn't characterize the cleaning that was provided as a "deep clean." I would say, it was what I would expect in a basic clean, which why I rated them a "C" versus a "D". I was told that baseboards would be wiped clean as would windows and doors. I stayed in the house while the two-person crew cleaned. They were very nice women and very respectful. I had to leave before they were finished, so I quickly inspected what they had cleaned. They had missed cleaning most of the windows. I asked them to please be sure to wipe the windows, particularly in the kitchen, but when I returned home, the windows still had not been wiped. They also did not wipe the baseboards as cleanly as I had expected. I asked them to wipe the baseboards in the kitchen, but again, when I returned home, they had not been wiped and were as dirty as they were before they came. Same thing for a window in the basement. I hadn't realized that my cat had vomited on one of the window ledges. I cleaned up most of it, but I asked the women to please go back to the room and clean the window more thoroughly (although I was very very disappointed that they had even missed a very obvious mess). Again, I discovered that it hadn't been cleaned when I returned home. I also suspect that they did not vacuum under the beds, because there were several things left under one of the beds. The top of the fridge wasn't wiped. and there were several other things. Considering I paid more than $400 for a "deep clean," I was very disappointed in the quality of the work. And even though I pointed out a few of the glaring omissions before I left, they were not taken care of as I had expected. Again, I liked the cleaning crew and was hoping they would do the job as I had expected so I could feel comfortable asking them to continue their service. Unfortunately, the quality was just too disappointing.
Description of Work: I requested a deep clean of my home, which is approximately 3,000 sq. ft. Depending on the quality of the service, I would hire them for a biweekly cleaning for about $175 per visit.

So far, so good! The girls are here now, and working hard. They are cleaning the entire house today. They were on time. They are very pleasant, well groomed, and agreeable to any instructions I have given to them. They even had on "Misty Clean" T-shirts!! I am happy to know that I should have the same girls each time. I am looking forward to a long relationship with Misty Clean. Nice to find a company of professional women who will put the customer first, and do it all with a positive attitude, and a smile.
Description of Work: Chrissy, the office manager came to my house to do an estimate. She was on time, and very professional. We discussed everything that needed to be done, and she was happy to comply with my requests. Other cleaning services insist on a costly initial deep clean. My house has many freshly painted rooms, and has been well kept. I had no need for that service. Misty Clean was agreeable to only performing the services I required. One company wanted to charge me $695.00 to deep clean my clean house!!! I have three extra bedroom suites, in addition to the master suite, and they do not need to be cleaned each time. Chrissy worked out all the pricing, and a way to schedule my cleaning that will work perfectly for both of us. I felt as though I was the customer, getting exactly what I wanted.

Debbie and Amber were fantastic. They arrived early in the morning and spent the day doing a thorough deep cleaning of our house - all the basics, plus blinds, fans, drapes, etc. They even removed calcium buildup that had probably been there since the house was built 30 years ago...which both we and previous cleaners were not able to remove. They were very professional and pleasant, too. While the price may seemed expensive at first glance, it was definitely worth it as both Debbie and Amber spent the entire day cleaning the house. I look forward to having them come to our house again.

The women who came were pleasant and efficient. There were some areas that had stubborn stains and they left them spotless. It was a pleasure to have them in my house and an even greater pleasure after they left. They left the house sparkling. I had not had this house professionally cleaned before and will definitely continue to use them. Misty Clean is a professional organization that I highly recommend.

We've hired Misty Clean to do a regular bi-weekly cleaning of our house. They began with a 'Deep Clean' and did a very thorough job. It's nice to come home to a clean house. The whole process is very convenient. They have a key, so they do the work while we're at work. They charge a credit card we have on file. Very pleased so far

I called a few of the cleaning companies on the Angie's List web site, and found that many of them started with a (more pricey) Deep Cleaning for first time customers. Misty Clean was happy to schedule us, either for the extensive Deep Cleaning or the General Cleaning. We needed the work to be done that week, and though they called to cancel the initial appointment, Kristi found room for us the following day. Julie and Susan arrived within the window of the appointment time. I showed them around the house, and they got to work. Since it was a General Cleaning, I knew they couldn't cover everything, but they managed an excellent, comprehensive cleaning of every room in the house. The wood floors, both upstairs (unfinished) and downstairs (finished) look great. I asked them to mop the basement only if they had enough time, and they made the time to make it look and smell clean.

Some people that work there are very very good, but they only work part time. It's hard to get someone you like if you aren't available on those days. Some of the teams have been outright bad, some fair, and a couple very good. Frequently late people, without notice. Some no shows, without notice. The office staff was responsive and occasionally tried to make things better but this last time I couldn't be home until the following Saturday, in which case there was no offer made . The owner tries to keep customers happy but my suggestion would be that the employees are better vetted for skills, and caring about doing a good job.

We've been using Misty Clean regularly for a little over 6 months now, and plan to keep using them for a long time to come. We'd tried some of the chain cleaning services in the past but were never happy with their pricing, the quality of their work, or their reliability (showing up on time). Misty Clean beats them hands down. I've been impressed with their professionalism all around. Misty (the owner) truly takes pride in her business and really runs a tight ship. Chrissy (scheduler / office manager) provides exceptional customer service. The cleaners are incredibly thorough - we were amazed to find after our first appointment that they'd cleaned and/or dusted areas my wife and I wouldn't have ever expected them to. In summary, they not only save us the time and hassle of cleaning our house; they do a better job cleaning than we could ourselves - and that's rare to find.

I called Misty Clean to get an estimate and the person I spoke with was very friendly and accommodating. She asked some questions and gave me two estimates over the phone: one for a deep clean and one for a standard clean. I elected for the deep clean first and wanted to schedule a bi-monthly standard clean going forward. She worked around my schedule because I wanted to be home for the first visit to show the team where everything was located and to give them a key and introduce them to my dog so they were all comfortable. Brittany and Stephanie came to clean (they will be my regular cleaning team going forward). Both women were extremely pleasant and professional. They were very detail oriented and went about the job briskly and efficiently. I am very happy with the results. Misty Clean does not charge hourly, but by the job. Given the amount of work that was done, the cost was well worth it. I am looking forward to having the house cleaned twice a month by Brittany and Stephanie. I was comfortable with them (my dog loved them - that's important :)), and I was very satisfied with the quality of the work.
Description of Work: Deep Clean on 3300 sf house. They cleaned 3 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and mudroom. Windows and blinds were cleaned, cobwebs dusted, all furniture dusted and glass was cleaned inside. Floors were all vacuumed or mopped, furniture was vacuumed, closets were swept and mopped, windowsills were cleaned. It was a very detailed and thorough cleaning. Perfect for an annual "spring" clean.

:00 PM that eve UPDATED FEBRUARY 20, 2013: I prevoiusly wrote a very poor reveiw. However, I was contacted by Misty Clean about what had happened. She made every effort to correct the situation. She gratiously volunteered to clean my rental property for free in lew of what had happened. She spent 5 hours in the house and did a very good job. Once she was aware of what had happened she really did make an extra effort to fix the problem. I would recommend them again.
Description of Work: This is the worst firm I've delt with in a long time. I hired them to clean a rental house I own. All went well over the phone to set the day and time to do the cleaning. They came on time I presume but were unable to get into the house because a key was not left by the contractor. No one ever called me to let me know that this happened. The neighbor across the street has a key and would have gladly let them in. I called the company several times that afternoon and got a voice mail only. I finally received a call at 9:00 PM that evening from Misty. We arranged for them to come on Sun 2/17/13 and was told they would be there between 3:00 and 3:30 PM. I received a call from the tenant at 3:30 saying they were not there. I called agian and received a voice mail. At 6:00 PM I received a call from the person sent to clean the house. She was given my wrong cell phone number by Misty. And never went to the house. I gave Misty the address of the house and can't understand why the cleaning crew just didn't go to the house. They did not need to call me in the first place. All I got from Misty was excuses, they are extremely unprofessional and do not give their crews proper instruction or info to get the job done. And do not seem do be available in case problems arise. UPDATED FEBRUARY 20, 2013: They were hired to clean the kitchen,all appliances , two bathrooms ,laundry room and lower level recreation room in a rental property I own.

It was the two woman crew's first time cleaning a two-floor, three bedroom, 2-and-half bathroom house plus finished and furnished basement, hence the slightly higher fee to start. They spent three-and-a-half hours vacuuming, scrubbing and dustng everything. It will be $95 the next time, $30 less, because we have happily asked them back. They did an excellent job; the house is immaculate. Bonus -- they made the beds with clean sheets and pillow cases that we left out, which was very cool. One minor nit: they were quite late this first time having gone to the wrong assignment at first; they called ahead to apologize and said it won't happen again.

It went well. They were very pleasant people, as was the owner who set up the appointment with me on the phone. The did what they came to do, and did it well. I would work with them again.
Description of Work: Misty Clean sent two women to my home who cleaned the main floor of my house. I live in a ranch, so this included three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living areas, a dining room, kitchen, an entrance area, and small walkthrough area. They cleaned all floors, counters, sinks, tubs, any other accessible surface area. Floor cleaning involved sweeping, mopping, vacuuming. They also made the beds and changed sheets. They did not clean in the basement because I told them it was too disorganized to do so. I think they probably would have done so (or tried their best to) if I hadn't asked them not to. The area that they worked on with the main floor was approximately 2000 sq.ft.
