Took my deposit of $690. and never did any work!! If I could give them less than 1 I would. The sales rep was great, estimated work to be done first week in July. Caught up with them Early August as they forgot my project/job, called, said they would return my refund, AND THEY DID NOT.

Quality and timeless of work on my driveway was great; however, work began on a freestanding floating deck for my gazebo on August 5th 2024. Approximately 1 hrs work was done to build a frame then workers left (3). No workers have returned to continue the job since; it is now August 23rd. Multiple texts and calls to the project manager and staff have only resulted in promises of next day resumption, only to end up with no show/call and no work continued from 8/5/24. What's worse is that I'm already being invoiced. I would not recommend this company to anyone seeking to have work performed in a quality/timely matter. You'll be given promises only to be led on...

Honestly, we think that Mid Atlantic would do a good job, if they could get to the work phase. We contracted with them for a foundation for a detached garage through "Angie", as we had been overseas for 20 years and wanted a vetted company. We are now working through "Angie's" list to get them removed! Our Project lead (Luke) had several positive mentions in Google reviews, so we felt comfortable signing. Due to a permit issue for the garage with the county & our septic location, Luke and I agreed on a refund. I offered to pay for his time, but he refused and said our full refund was being processed. 3 phone calls over the next 3 weeks with responses of they are backed up, led to direct conversation with Jennifer on the main line. A month of no refund, and my messages being ignored, we sensed a scam, so we contacted our credit card company and filed a dispute. When filing a dispute, Cap1 provided a temp credit for the charged amount during the dispute, hoping to get Mid A. to refund us. Feedback through Cap 1 from the Mid A owner (Jackie McFee), was that our refund request was beyond there 5 bus day refund policy. Yes, a scam. Unable for us to produce proof requesting our refund in the 5 bus days, Cap 1 was forced to close the dispute, and remove the temp credit. We then reached out to the Better Bus. Bureau. I encourage you to read the BBB synopsis from this case (BBB website and search for company, then click on profile). Jackie was now claiming that Cap 1 had charged him, and we were refunded. We simply provided 4 months of credit card statements validating Mid Atlantic did not credit us, but Jackie was only able to produce words and excuses while delaying this several more weeks. Our assumption, a company desperate to make payroll, and us seniors are easy prey. Next stop, district court with our evidence and the BBB final comments of "This complaint is being closed as unresolved due to the business failing to provide documentation that the a refund ultimately went to the consumer. The consumer has provided documentation showing that there was a temporary refund, but in June2024, the charge was placed back on his credit card (as shown in documentation already to the business). *** You cannot make this stuff up. 4 months into this and Jackie still has our $4100 for swinging by our house for 45 minutes.. How would you feel?

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by this company. The service was the worst I've ever experienced. They constantly mislead customers and show no concern for completing the project on time. I signed up for a patio project, and even after four months, the work remains incomplete. Their lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction is appalling. I strongly advise against using this company for any project. They are fraudulent and do not deliver on their promises.

Mike Daley from Mid Atlantic Concrete met me for an estimate. I explained to him the problem and he suggested a few options. The price was reasonable. I paid a deposit for them to start the work. They sent a link to pay it with options. They were always available by phone and text. They sent before and after photos. They put me on the schedule and got on the job and finished within a week. They are personable, knowledgeable, licensed and professional. I would use them again. I had others look at the job, but I’m glad I chose the PROS…

My experience with Mid Atlantic was great! From getting the estimate to getting the work done. I’m very happy with the work that was completed! I will be using them again in the future and I will be recommending them to my friends and family.

This has been very disappointing. Signed a contract in the late fall of 2023, sales rep pushed to collect the deposit so he could "get me in the schedule", but it didn't happen quickly. Nothing from the rep until it got too cold to pour concrete. Then I would get a call every 2 weeks throughout the winter telling me they wanted to start my driveway. I was not about to let anyone pour concrete when the temps were dropping below freezing overnight. Finally, in mid-April of 2024, my project was scheduled. They were a no call, no show. I only found out they weren't coming when I called the rep. I should not have had to make that call, but the rep wasn't collecting any money that day so I guess he didn't care enough to communicate. Last Tuesday a crew came out to start demo and finished on Wednesday. Then, no call, no show on Thursday and Friday. I reached out to the rep, who was no help as usual, so I bypassed him and called the office. I told the nice lady who answered the phone that I only wanted to talk to the owner. The owner never called. When I finally got someone to call me on Friday (the VP of home improvement), I was told they couldn't get concrete delivered to my area that day. That wasn't true because I called 3 different concrete companies and they all said they had capacity to deliver concrete that day. Turns out that the company that finally did deliver the concrete the following Monday, was one of the companies I called. It rained all weekend, and thankfully a crew came out Saturday morning before the rain and covered the site with plastic. Then Monday comes around and the crew removes the plastic but they let all the water on top of the plastic to go right into the area the plastic was protecting. Finally got the concrete poured and the driveway finished product is ok, not great, but they left my front yard a mess, and there's concrete splatter on my siding and even on one of my garage doors. I had to call them to schedule a final site visit to go over the job (they didn't call me), but they were super fast to send me the final invoice. I'll pay it after the walkthrough and a decision is made on how to address the mess they left behind. Terrible communication, and one h*** of a mess are the reason for the rating. I'm sure there will be a response to this from the owner disputing what I've said, but when reading this, remember, I asked to speak to the owner and only the owner when this job went south, and he couldn't make the time to call and address the issue. He's never been to my property and hasn't seen the job.

Mid-Atlantic Concrete All went extremely well from request for service, right through to finish. Met with Zach and Alex, explained my need, Zach and Alex made some good suggestions which were acceptible. Contract drawn up and signed for a few weeks ahead. I was notified ahead of time for when to start. Contractor was on time and ready to go on appointed day. What was thought might be a two day job, was finished in less than a day. Concrete work looks great, job site was left cleaner than when they arrived. Highly recommend Mid-Atlantic Concrete.

Hired this company from Angi list thinking they were reputable and professional thinking they were vetted.How wrong I was . Money hustlers plain and simple . Hired them to coat,fill up the separation from the garage to and divert water on the driveway when it rains . The did a very poor quality work , the aesthetics was just horrible. I had to keep telling them what to do . Eventually the left the job very poorly done but aggressively wanted full payment , promising to fix it as service call . They didn’t even have the equipment to to the job when they came back and ended up leaving again promising to come back .. still waiting till now . The folks that sold and started the job , say they no longer work for the company . Calls are not answered or returned . Tried looking up the license of the supposed owner Jack , no license can be found . Perhaps a charlatan. My drive way has mounds of coal tar in heaps and no coating , the water still pools as before . Overall extremely poor workmanship. No sure how they got on Angi

The parking pad was amazing. They did the work very quickly. Came back and helped me remove a piece of fence that I didn’t want there and were extremely responsive and attentive to what I wanted. The work was done very very well and they were done in about 2 days time after moving my appt up because they had an opening. Amazing company and will definitely hire again and recommend to all who will listen

I received a stamped concrete from this company and I can’t say enough about how it turned out! I originally wanted to do a simple brush finish but Jack recommended I go with the decorative stamp and I’m so happy I did! It complements my house wonderfully and I’ve gotten many compliments from family and friends on the outcome of it. I would recommend them for any concrete work you are looking to have done

I am deeply saddened and frustrated by the services or lack of services rendered. At first I was excited and impressed by the company but my hopes were quickly crushed. The company said they would work with my HOA for approval, but my HOA has no record of paperwork ever filed. After giving the contractor the benefit of the doubt my calls/texts were ignore and I was taken advantage of. I have yet to receive any update or refund for my deposit. Deeply saddened by their customer service and humanity .

We hired McFee Masonry to build a concrete patio behind our hose. Jack McFee was very personable, told us all about his company and how his father had built it up from nothing and finally, after 27 years, moved to Florida leaving the business in Jack's hands. On August 31, 2021, we signed a contract for the patio to be installed within 2-3 weeks. He took our deposit of $2,000 as 1/3 of the contract price. Then ... nothing. He answered one text and one phone call to his personal phone the first month but that was it. I left a message on the company phone asking where we were in his residential work list in early November and he did call back to say they would be out the following Thursday or Friday. That was a month and a half ago and was the last time he replied to any of our messages. Do not sign a contract with this man. Or, if you do, DO NOT GIVE HIM A DEPOSIT! You will never see his or your money again.

I signed a contract with Jack McFee III and Chris Fischer on August 18th 2021 for a stone paver & concrete pad patio installation, and paid a $1600 deposit for a $4700 total contract. Soon after it became very apparent that Jack McFee III fraudulently signed that contract using his father's MHIC license (they have the same name) and ran off with my money with no intention of completing the job. McFee Masonry's facebook page no longer exists. I have not heard from Jack McFee III at all since October 13th. I spoke to his father, the original owner & founder of the company, Jack McFee Jr, who lives in Florida, and said his son is fraudulently signing his name on contracts. McFee Masonry is a group of crooks. I am submitting a formal complaint to MHIC and am speaking with the MD Attorney General's Consumer Protection division. Do not use McFee Masonry, Jack McFee III, or Jack's new company, Mid-Atlantic Concrete, for any work.

Our Sewer line was backing up and when I snaked it, the line came back with a clump of clay dirt. Later we found out that the cast iron piping under our basement slab had failed at some point and the water from it made a huge cavity around a footer that had we not tended to it would have collapsed our entire house in. We ran through a gambit of contractors and Mcfee was the only one able to grasp the gravity of the situation and had the capability and expertise to handle it quickly and properly (as well as without making me jump through hoops). BGE Home said they could only work on the sewer line but I had to find someone to expose it. They wouldnt cover it under the plumbing nor sewer line plans we had (initially denied, then said they would but the plan would only send out 1 plumber and a second plumber would cost double). Another contractor said they would poke a hole in our concrete slab and patch the pipe in a 3'x3' square without scoping the pipe with a camera nor determine where to put the 3'x3' hole for $7k. Mcfee had Greer Plumbing (Matt and team) come out and camera snake the line and mark the entirely of the pipe with a locator to accurately come up with a solution. Greer was great. We executed on the contract and these guys NO JOKE diagnosed, trenched the entire basement, replaced all cast iron piping and refinished the entire basement all within 28 days -11/15/19 and 12/12/19. In comparision, It took AES near 4 months to redo a small bathroom for us. To top it off, Bill hand held us through the home owners insurance paperwork. Jack and team were wonderful to interact with and honestly feel like family that I want to invite back during the holidays. Their masonry experience especially came in handy when we found a big crack in the foundation and when we discovered that part of the pipe ran under a fireplace (repaired both along the way without skipping a beat). Bill even has been following up so far in 2020 to make sure everything is settling in fine and to schedule a time to patch up the small incidentals. All in all a 10/10 experience and would full-heartedly recommend them to anyone who runs into similar challenging problems. TLDR - McFee is the one stop shop that has the capability and resources to solution any sized residential job from soup to nuts.

Aside from delays caused by weather, it went well. They coordinated several crafts to get the work done on time. They came us with a cleaver solution to the water problem.
