No service performed by our request. There wasn't enough work to be done here to warrant the cost. Maria is very honest.

For the most part it went well. Theres one spot that didn't get seeded, but other than that it went vary well.

It went pretty well. they are sometimes difficult to get ahold of, and their response time can be slow, but the quality of work is very good. I was a bit disappointed on the day of installation since they were supposed to arrive at 8 A, but didn't arrive until 2 due to mechanical problems, which forced them to finish up as it got dark. In hindsight, it might have better if we had rescheduled for another day. so far, things look good. the sod, with the right watering and help form a lot of rain in September, grew and took well. I'm a little concerned right now that some dead areas are creeping in, but we haven't had a lot of rain in October. Hopefully, it won't spread much.We may consider them for some work in the spring.

They arrived on the job about 10:30 am but were expected around 10:00. They finished the job in about 1 to 1 1/2 hours and did a very professional job. In addition they cut off a small tree trunk that I had.

Fernando and his crew were punctual, pleasant and hard working. They did a great job efficiently. They left all of the filled bags out to be picked up by the trash collector. There were no hidden costs. I asked for an estimate for sodding the area where we once had a playground. The estimate was more costly than I had planned but Maria said that the price would be less in the Spring when they would be bulk-ordering, so I will re-consider then, if the price is right. Overall I was very satisfied.

They were excellent. Not only would I recommend them but I'd definitely hire them myself again. Very good!

Punctual, Proffesional. 2 men x3h. Also removed vines and thorns from 2 large honey locust trunks, lower 6-8 feet. Disposed of the waste incl leaves downed branches etc. cost about $350 incl disposal fee. Left site neat and clean. Would have been 10-12 hr job for me.

GHCL LLC was a disappointment. I had originally contacted them via a Angie's List deal for some landscaping work: to remove and replace my front lawn with something requiring less maintenance. It took a very long time to wrangle an appointment (admittedly, this was both my fault and GHCL's.) When a representative came to my house they were punctual but I got the impression that they were not quite equipped to do the work I needed (a sales representative told me that in addition to the price I'd paid for the deal, I would have to pay for a sod-breaker when taking up the grass.) The date we had set on to commence work was set, but I wanted to get a crew in to cut the lawn to keep it looking passable until the work began. A crew showed up, and was very nice, but their work was cut short by a thunderstorm. They took off, and after the storm I discovered that only half of the lawn was cut (the lawn is bisected by a path: one side was cut, the other was not.) I assumed that they would return the next day to finish, and they did not. I called GHCL and asked them what was happening, and they told me that what they had done constituted a complete job. I disagreed. I was unimpressed by the service I got from this company, and from the overall customer service as well.

These guys were fantastic. IN addition to mowing the lawn, they also did edging and blowing!

Overall it went fine. I was initially rained out on a day that only rained in the early morning, which made me miss a days work. But they did show up on Saturday morning and worked until all was complete. Fernando and his crew did a good job.

Arrived on time. I already had most of the supplies. He went straight to work fixing items around the house and patching the outside. Cleaned up everything. No problems.

Fernando & his crew did a good job. There was some misunderstanding about what was to be done as discussed during the "estimation visit". But it was resolved quickly.

The crew was efficient and thorough.

Three men worked steadily for 3 hours to do work.

I bought the 3 hours of weeding for $140. Marie was very helpful when the company's electronic registration page didn't work and she had to take my information by phone. The team did a spectacular job. Overgrown ivy, morning glory that had invaded from next door, crabgrass clumps, miscellaneous weeds that had sprouted in the cracks between the bed and the sidewalk....all gone. I asked them to save my liriope for transplantation, and was impressed that I didn't have to point it out to them. They already knew what it was. We provided the guys with the bags for the debris and they filled them and swept up, doing a better job of clean-up than I would have done myself. I will be contacting the company again soon to give me an estimate on my remaining 4 beds. Highly recommend. UPDATE: Unfortunately, I am now re-rating this provider with a D overall and an F in responsiveness. I was so impressed with the initial service that I decided to hire the company again for a much larger job. Maria said that she would stop by to give me an estimate on the new job on September 2. She did not come, and did not call. Over the next several days I tried to call the company to reschedule the estimate. It was difficult to tell from the voice mail message whether the mail box was full or messages were just not being accepted. Not a good sign, either way, Finally, I sent an electronic message through the provider's website (not through Angie's list). The company responded with a message on September 17 thanking me for the opportunity to do further work on our property. But to date, I have heard nothing else, and have hired another company to do the work. This is sad, since I did like the work originally done, and would have been willing to accommodate scheduling difficulties.

The backyard on our new house is small and densely vegetated; just 5000sqft with 10 trees, twice as many bushes, and a waterfall/pond feature. Needless to say, it was out of control within 2 months of us moving in, and we needed someone to clean things up QUICK so we would at least have a shot at maintaining it ourselves. Fernando from GHCL came out for an estimate, and was able to quickly figure out what level of effort was required to clean up the property. I really liked that he understood that we had many other expenses (as new homebuyers) and that we couldn't spend all our money on this alone. After the initial estimate, the company rep (Maria) reached out quickly to recommend the $1000/20hr deal. All the terms were clearly laid out, such as work to be performed, number of people, etc so there was not much room for confusion or mixed signals. After I bought the deal, she was also quick to schedule the appointment. An extra nice part of this process was that when the company had an earlier date free up due to a last-minute cancellation, they remembered to reach out to me to offer me that spot. On the date of service, Fernando showed up with 2 other workers promptly at 7:30am, and started working within 5 minutes of arrival. And man let me tell you, I've never seen 3 people work so hard for so long. This happened to be a sunny, 90+ degree day, and with the exception of a lunch break, I didn't see them stop once! They even worked a few minutes extra because Fernando wanted to finish up everything we had discussed during the initial estimate. I can honestly say that they really went beyond my expectations with the amount and quality of their work, and Fernando's work ethic. After they were done, I saw features of my backyard that I didn't even know existed before because of the weeds! Now comes the after-story. That evening, my irrigation system on one side of my house wouldn't turn on. I found that one of the workers had accidentally cut the sprinkler control wire while pruning shrubs on that side of the house. I reached out to Maria, and over the next week she came out to look at it and the company owner agreed to give me a partial credit on the haul-away fee to compensate me for fixing the wire. I was very happy with this response since it really showed that they take responsibility for their work before, during, and after the service is completed. All in all, I would not hesitate to use GHCL again if I need more yard work done in the spring. As long as Fernando and Maria still work there!

Ultimately I could not move forward with them at this time due to other work and expenses I have lined up, but I was impressed with the excellent communication from Maria throughout. She was always friendly and helpful in our online communications and arrived for the estimate right on schedule. She provided a straightforward and detailed estimate in a timely manner. My dealings with Maria speak well of the company for me and I am keeping them on my list for future work.

This was the second time I purchased this package - the 1st was last Fall. Our rainy Spring had postponed their visit twice, so they ended up doing the work on Sunday, the 26th. The men worked very hard and did the work I had requested in less than the time provided. I had more things for them to do, but they opted to leave, giving me a 7-hour credit. I will have them back in September to ready my garden for the Spring.

I purchased a deal on Angie's list for 3-hours of yard cleanup for $149. The job went extremely well after quite a few weeks of waiting to actually get the work done. The original date was pushed out for two weeks due to some type of parking issue in which the provider was unable to find suitable parking for their trailer. Two weeks later, the work almost got pushed out again due to the provider not having the proper tools on-hand when they arrived at the site. We were given the impression the worker who arrived did not really want to perform the work due to the amount of work required versus the low price we paid through Angie's List. We ended up paying an additional $200 to complete the cleanup and to have all debris removed from the property. The quality of the work was excellent, but the difficulty we faced in getting the provider to actually do the work was a bit frustrating. I'm assuming this company is very busy, so I would probably be a great idea for them to hire more technicians to handle their apparently heavy workload.

When I saw that it was for three hours of service, I jumped at this great deal since my yard work has been largely neglected for at least the past five years. This company exceeded my expectations as they cleared out over five years of leaves, brush and debris. They were professional, efficient and friendly. I'm so thankful for their hard work and the amazing job they did. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs help with their yard!

The guys did a fantastic job! I was very impressed. My yard was totally out of control and they did a great job-- it would have taken me days and days to get it as spiffed up as they did. I had so much I wanted done, I bought a second hour of time from them. 2 guys showed up and did 3 hours worth of work-- I definitely had more for them to do, and will be calling again to schedule. They worked very hard the whole time, I just had two years' worth of almost total neglect to undo-- I should have bought a third hour initially. I'm very happy with the work, and I'll be calling them to come back!

It was a great experience. They were professional and provided a great service.

It turned out fine. They come out every two weeks. They cut the grass. It's fine. They give us the clippings and blow it away. But, I have a lot of ivy that grows around. So, I just contacted them. They're going to come out tomorrow and probably up the price in order to trim the ivy that's growing into the sidewalk. I really haven't had any contact with them other than the first day or two.

They far exceeded my expectations. They weeded my entire yard, including removing ivy that had begun to grow up the side of my home. Outstanding job!
