Description of Work: I did not purchase any service from this provider This provider has a total overall lack of respect for customer time and demonstrates a lack of professionalism when it comes to scheduling potential work. I have had the same exact encounters happen on 2 separate occasions which will lead me to never have any further communications with this provider. + 0 moreIt was so-so. We had some communication issues with them. They tried to fit me into their schedule. But, they never reconfirmed with me, the first time. Then, they rescheduled the following week. They came through finally, but it was so-so work. There was still a lot of debris and stuff, which I thought they were going to haul away. They were pretty professional. There could have been better communication. They could make sure that they confirm the appointment. It took them a good two weeks just to get me a date and actually confirm it. It's really hard to get hold of them. I had to use Angie's List to call them. They have very odd hours. Their hours is like 11:00 to 1:00 on certain days and Friday, they're off.
Description of Work: I purchased a big deal from them. It was $149 for three hours of vacuum leaf removal and disposal.

+ -1 moreAs of today, we were re-scheduled for 12pm noon on Monday, April 25th. We were scheduled for Monday, April 11th. This is another delay and slow to schedule. This is awful.
Description of Work: The company called complaining about Angie's List conflict with another vendor. According to the company staff, Angie's List told them not to do the work, but they are "working with me" to complete the work. Right now, I am out of $375 and on the mercy of a vendor that was deemed credible. So far the provider did nothing but delay and provide slow service.

+ -1 moreIn the first discussion before beginning the timing they may not get to the back yard. The cost of service was based on 3hrs and that was split into two workers of 1.5 hrs. They completed the front and the back yard with time to clean up and bag all the leaves. The yard looked great and the back yard was free and clear.

+ 0 moreThe GHCL customer rep Maria was very disrespectful and tried to strongarm my wife. GHCL was supposed to show up on Wednesday and was a no show without any notice. They showed up the next day without notice and then tried to say that they performed their job since they showed up. Two people showed up and the women did next to nothing. The back part of the yard had to be re-raked since they left an inch of leaves from the top of the yard to the fence. They didn't touch the top of the back yard and we had to hire someone else to finish the job. They had me fill out a marathon of a questionanne for they ever showed which is ridiculous. I would not recommend them to my neighbors and wonder how they made your list for the best for 2013 and 2014!

I told him the reason that it's high is because I try to make my appointment like 2 weeks, like a week or more prior, I said if you guys would have come when I wanted you to come it wouldn't have grown. I think like it rained 3 or 4 times so yeah I got charged more, I think it was 20 or 30 dollars more. I think it says 7 or 8 inches but I know whatever the inches was it was more than that because it took me awhile to schedule, because when I was trying to schedule it they were booked up and I couldn't make my appointment so I told the lady on the phone of course if you want to take a week and a half to come, the grass is going to grow. I think they need to communicate more. I did schedule a day for them to come back out two weeks later but I get a conformation or anything, I didn't even know if they were going to show up. When they came the first time I stayed home the whole day waiting, I had to be home to pay, not to pay but to be home to let them know what areas that need to be mowed and they didn't call me until it was 3:45 so I could have went to work. They came pretty late. The price was okay, I mean, the initial price, I don't like the up charge. Like they should have that somewhere, you know, I don't like the up charge. The price is fair it's just that, you know, the scheduling was a problem, like, they couldn't get to me like a week and a half later and of course my grass grew and that's how they got me because my grass is over a couple of inches more than what was specified. They did a good job once they did it.

It took a while t o get a response and put on the schedule, which they apologized profusely about due to high volume and recent weather restrictions. The yard took more than the hour the three landscapers were hired for. They asked if I wished to finish the job and quoted me an additional $100 (which total was about what I was expecting to pay). Yard cleaning was done very well (not every nook and cranny, but solid work). It would be beneficial to have someone estimate the work load prior to work beginning. It would likely be helpful for unexpected work extensions (as was the case with my yard). Recommended to use. Good folks; good work.

+ 1 moreThe remainder of the lawn and associated areas were "finished" over the next ~ninety (90) minutes. We've owned our home for nearly 30 years and have been having the leaves removed professionally for much of that time. The quality of the job left a lot to be desired. The completeness of the leaf removal and inclusion of the associated areas was less than optimal, even with additional money and time. The best part of working with GHCL was dealing with the young lady who did the scheduling. I found her quite pleasant and professional. Overall, GHCL performed average at best, and I give them a grade of C-.
Description of Work: Leaf removal, $139 for three (3) hours. Three (3) workers arrived and began blowing the leaves. Within about fifteen (15) minutes, two (2) of the workers began raking and vacuuming the leafs, leaving only one (1) actually blowing them to the collecting area. After ~ fifty (50) minutes of work, "Fernando" told me that they only had five (5) minutes remaining for the Angie's List deal. At this point, only about half of the leave removal had been completed. "Fernando" said he would call his boss to see what could be done. After that phone discussion, Fernando told me that they would finish for an additional $100.

The coupon stated this was for three hours of service at $149 (see below), It did not say three man hours which is what they told me I was getting as they started the job. I was upset because I knew there was no way they could get up all the leaves in one hour. If I had known this, I would not have bought the coupon. I have learned my lesson and will never take advantage of one of the "deals" on this site again. They did an adequate job of getting up the leaves in almost 1/2 of the back-yard and quoted me a price of another $300 to finish the back. I declined. Fernando Rodas, the Landscape Manager, came to do the estimate and was patient and helpful considering the amount of work that needed to be done. The work needed to be rescheduled once because of span of heavy rain and possible hurricane - Maria was good about keeping me up to date. On the scheduled day, Fernando and another man arrived on time and worked through the day to reclaim the area. They were good about clarifying if there was a question about how an area was to be managed. Cleanup was excellent! I was more than grateful and quite impressed with their work and would not hesitate to ask for their help again.
