Green Healthy Cleaning & Landscaping

I learned about this service through a Groupon. The initial cleaning was excellent , so I decided to employ them. The price was higher than most other services for a small one-bedroom apartment ($125 per monthly cleaning, $85 if every two weeks), but I do have a cluttered apartment with many nicknacks and I thought that the cost is justified as the environmentally friendly supplies do run more expensive. They cleaned my apartment for close to 3 years. For most of that time, up until about 6 months prior to my cancelling the service, they did a decent job. They were punctual, it was easy to make appointments and the cleaning was basic, but satisfactory. I did notice that I had different cleaners most of the time and time spent cleaning was highly variable. What was particularly annoying is that the furniture in the living room that was moved to clean, would be strewn about and not returned to initial state. So I would need to arrange my furniture back to the original set-up every time they cleaned. Also, there were inconsistencies in cleaning quality and notable lack of attention to detail. For example, there was a coffee cup ring on a white shelf. The shelves were dusted, but for several months, no initiative was taken to take a wet rag to the stain and clean it up. I did complain a few times and each time the subsequent cleaning was excellent, but would often revert to the previous basic and inconsistent service. About 6 months prior to cancelling the service, the quality dropped significantly and it was consistently sub-par. The basic stuff was often missed-living room carpet with crumbs, coffee table not cleaned, dust bunnies in the corner. I complained, but this seemed to continue. I was told that they had a new cleaner who they fired for poor performance, but the poor performance became more of a rule rather than exception. One more thing that I found unacceptable was billing. I have an extremely demanding job and very limited free time-I pay my bills as they come in, so I paid for their service based on invoices that were e-mailed. In the course of 3+ years of service there were probably 5 months where I did not receive an invoice. Then, I would get hit with multiple bills at the year-end when they did their accounts review. One such instance occurred after I had cancelled the service-I was billed for two months that I owed from a year prior! Good things about this company: Maria, who is a manager is excellent, easy to get in touch with, responsive to issues. There were a few instances of inadvertent damage of a few small items in the apartment, all of which were promptly and adequately replaced. As mentioned previously, they were always punctual, it was easy to make appointments and I was given priority appointments around busy times of the year (holidays, etc). Unfortunately, the bad outweighed the good.

Team was very quick to respond to my request for a quotation. Maria and Fernando arrived to scope the job and provided a written estimate within a couple of days. The weather made it difficult to finish the job as quickly as they would have liked (which was not a problem for me), but they kept us informed of progress and delays. The crew was punctual and cleaned up after themselves each day. Would definitely use this company again -was very impressed by their professionalism, attention to detail, and obvious desire to acquire a new customer. Highly recommend!

We have had Maria and her team cleaning for us for over two years. They are so reliable, conscientious, and trustworthy. I very rarely have an issue but if I do Maria is incredibly responsive. I have recommended this company to close friends.

Green Healthy Cleaning was flexible in scheduling the date, and we felt confident enough to have the work done while we were out of town for spring break. When we came home from spring break, our garden beds looked beautiful - they did an outstanding job! The borders were clean, they carefully mulched around the plants, and we were delighted with how nice it looked. And it wasn't that much more expensive than buying a bunch of mulch bags at Home Depot and doing it ourselves. We will definitely use them again!

I use Green Healthy Cleaning every two weeks for housecleaning and have been a client for 4 years. Maria, the owner of the company is extremely responsive to any need we have and I always feel comfortable with having her staff in my home. They are prompt and do a great job. It's always so nice to come home after they've been over. I highly recommend Maria and her team.

Overall, we are quite pleased with the service Green Healthy Cleaning provides. We have been using them as a provider for several years now. We found them at a local event when at the time we were using a larger, more well known, chain cleaning service and were getting displeased with the quality and consistency of our cleanings. When we made the switch, the owner herself came out to meet with us. All communication from the company comes from her, and I find her (Maria) to be very responsive and very friendly and professional in all our dealings. On the very rare occasion where we had an issue (something was skipped at a cleaning), it was addressed and immediately fixed at the next cleaning. We have a standard day of the week for cleaning, and Maria is always on top of keeping me abreast of changes due to holidays. She is also very accomodating on occasions where we have requested extra cleanings or special services (carpet cleaning). We have used them, as I mentioned, for cleaning services, but last year, we also took advantage of the landscaping side of their business. We had them clean up several pretty badly weed ridden beds and mulch. We were thrilled with the results, and the work they did then still produces a nice edge on the beds today. The cleaning team does a nice job, and they usually set up the kids stuffed animals on the beds in a cute way to both our boys like to see what the team did when we get home on cleaning days. Maria is lovely, and I would recommend the company.

I contacted them to see if they could remove some limbs and light branches. They said they would only do 2 men for 1 ½ hours. They sent the crew out today at 8:30 AM to give me an estimate. He didn’t give me an estimate, he only took pictures of what I wanted done. He told me he wasn’t sure if they could do the work and that he would get back to me with an estimate. They still haven’t contacted me with the estimate and I cannot reach them by phone because their recording just says “We’re not doing snow removal anymore” then hangs up. Maria said I had until 5pm today to cancel or I would be charged for the price of the Big Deal. They also said there would be an additional $15 charge for hauling debris which was not mentioned in the deal. Therefore I am uncomfortable using the deal. The ad was not very clear in what was to be offered. It was so generic that I felt the branches were okay.

"How did it go?" Plain and simple -- it didn't happen. At this juncture in time I feel relatively certain that this organization, Green Healthy Cleaning Inc, could care less about me, my family, and the job they had been paid in advance to perform. However, not to be completely amiss in this situation, I must disclose further evident findings made by me and further verified by personnel at Angie's List. To wit: It is overwhelmingly apparent that a regional supervisor for Angie's List intervened in my process with Green Healthy Cleaning Inc, and literally caused this contract null and quite void. This supervisor (acting) person for Angie's List felt eager and quite ready to misread local orders and stated on my account that I had problems with traveling particulars as well as that Green Healthy Cleaning Inc, was operating out of their territory by agreeing to do my property. That is where my biggest complaint lies at the moment. The mere fact that someone -- without discussing anything with me -- would have the gall and audacity -- to state that I said, when in fact I have never spoken with this individual before. Furthermore the deal that was set by me was countermanded by this alleged supervisor and he or she did not have the honor or integrity to even inform me about it. Easy version, he or she changed and cancelled my paid in advance for service. With tremendous assistance from Breana Buchler from the home of Angie's List I did receive another incomplete promise. I sent Ms. Buchler an email and that email has never been responded too. All up this was the most displeasing and unprofessional menagerie I've been a part of, and Lord willing, it will be my last. They cut my lawn and did a great job.

Individuals who showed up were great~ professional, courteous & hard working. Equipment was not adequate for leaf removal. I was charged an additional $15 for leaf removal. Truck was too small to carry leaves. Blowers inadequate. Most work was done with rakes, raking leaves into tarps. Workers worked really hard but it was not possible to do more than my front yard, grass & large bushes only. Vinca & pachasandra beds still full of leaves. Back yard untouched. I live on a small lot. This was disappointing at the cost. Tech said business owner would call to discuss additional work. Never heard from her. This company may do great landscaping work, but cannot recommend for serious seasonal leaf removal.

They did a nice job cleaning the house. They came on time and were very pleasant. The materials they use are all green. They don’t smell and are non-toxic. I used them for about 3 months while I was recovering from surgery. They sent about 3 people out to do the cleaning. They were in and out pretty quickly.

Weeded flower beds, pruned shrubs and trees, edged sidewalks, cleaned up limbs and yard debris, carried away yard debris, placed mulch in areas I had selected. They were very efficient and focused on getting the job done to my specifications. My yard looked great when they finished.

It went great. They came and looked at the work I wanted them to do and they said that they would work longer, but I just wanted them to fulfill what I paid for and it was enough time to get the work done. They did a fantastic job. I wish that I could buy more than one coupon. I bought three of them thinking that they could just do more work for the reduced rate and they said I could only get one. So that would be the only negative. I don't want to hold that against them.

This was the second time I have used this angieslist deal. They arrived a little early and got right to work. They pulled up lots of big weeds and pulled down ivy.

Did a good job but their services are bigger than my need right now.

First of all, after someone at Angie's List confirmed that I could, I bought two deals for a total of six man hours worth of yard clean up services. The deal specified branches up to a certain size. I mostly needed some bush trimming but none of the branches that I needed trimmed were larger than the size specified, so I figured that would work. After paying for two deals, I called to schedule the work and was told that I couldn't combine two deals, I could only purchase one. But this was after I had already paid the money for two deals. They also told me that the deal did not include bush trimming. "Then why did it say branches up to a certain size?" I asked. "Oh, that's if the branches are lying on the ground, we will pick them up," the person replied. I've never had a big problem with branches lying on the ground, so that wouldn't really help me. So right off the bat I hadn't paid for what I thought that I had paid for. Nevertheless, since I had already paid, I figured that I would get whatever weed pulling and yard cleanup that I could. I have to admit that I was doing all of this long distance for a rental property so I couldn't meet them in person. They called right before I was supposed to go into a meeting and I told them to use their judgment to clean up whatever they could, pull weeds or whatever the deal entailed to make it look good. When I checked on the work later I couldn't really tell that they had done anything except for trimming some bushes in the backyard, which would have been my LAST priority since the front of the house needed plenty of work. The front of the house still had plenty of weeds and unwanted things growing. None of the bushes in the front were trimmed, only some bushes in the backyard and they hadn't even cleaned up everything that they had trimmed. I have photos of all of this. I've come to the conclusion that buying deals for something where the quality can vary is a bad idea. If someone has already been paid, they aren't very motivated to perform. Also, unless you have worked with someone previously and trust their judgment, don't expect them to use good judgment without very close supervision.

Went well - required more than the hour service and they did the 2nd our for the deal price. Did have to pay a $40 travel fee.

Great crew. Hard workers. Would hire again. Reasonable price.

It was fine. They were friendly, on time and efficient. From what I remember, the price seems fair.

When I called to schedule, they told me that it would be an additional $15 because I was just a little outside of their service area, I disagreed with the charge but paid them anyway because I had committed myself to their services. They came out the first time on Wednesday the 24th and mowed and performed the yard work. I was satisfied with the results. They returned on Wednesday the 31st to mow the second time, and it went well.

Great! I have never had such a tidy patio, or front perennial beds. It was like a magic wand had been waved. Was the 2nd time I used them and will definitely be calling again.
