This company Dove Remodeling Services has moved to 46 Wishing Rock Rd. it took 7 months to do nothing. In march they came to our office to give us an estimate for two awnings and to install gutter guards and other work to the roof. The cost was $5,700.00 we gave them 2,350.00 for a down payment. April 8th I called the office and asked why no one had come to work, they said we were not on the schedule. May 29th I called and said we still have not seen anyone and they said they would send someone over that week. May 31st I called again and said a man came and did not know what to do. June 17th I called and asked if they were coming back and they said they fired that guy and was waiting for a schedule for a new employee to come. June 20th I emailed the owner and asked if the awnings had been order they said they had a problem with the color. June 28th the owner came by to look at where to install, I said we had already gone over this several times. July 2 they called and said they have a new company that had to come and measure for the awnings. July 17 the office said the awnings had been ordered but would not come in until September. Sep 6th I called and asked if the awnings were in? Their office said no there was a problem with the manufacture. I said Iam cancelling it has been seven months and no one has given me a straight answer and have done any work or ordered the awnings. The office said they would refund my money that week. I called Monday after a week and she said the check run would be next Friday. I called Monday I still had not received my money told them I wanted it back on my credit card. After 3 days I still had not received the refund on my credit card. Sep 12th I had to go to the office to get my refund she said the owner did it last Saturday it would take 3 days. I waited the 3rd day and called my bank no refund. The owner of our business called their office and they sent over the receipt of credit, they had lied the time and date was the day the owner of our business had called THEY HAD NEVER GIVEN US A REFUND until that day. It took seven months of calling and waiting for no work, no awnings and no money!

Gave deposit $400 of total job $1300 After 5 weeks no job complete Told mistake in scheduling. Emailed Angie list told me I can pay $99 membership they may be able to help. Something wrong with this process.

When the representative arrived, he looked at the tile and gave us an excellent quote. He told us that the job would be done professionally and we would be happy with the results. We were told that we would only need to purchase the vinyl flooring that we would like installed and did so shortly after signing off on the contract to do the work. On the morning the work was to be performed, we waited for the workers to show up and after two hours passed, we called the manager. He stated that someone would call us back with an ETA. The individual called us and asked what they needed to bring to the job in order to perform the work. He had never purchased any of the tile or what he would need to lay down the vinyl flooring. Upon his arrival, now about four hours late, he stated that he could not complete the work for the agreed upon price because there was mildew behind the tile. This was already shown initially for the estimate. He also complained that we called his manager and he was in trouble and it "was not cool." We could not reach the manager via phone and was told he would have to come to our home. After much arguing, they decided to do the work for what they felt was a "reduced" price. Exasperated we agreed just to get the work done. What was supposed to be a several hour job, ended up lasting three days. The workmanship was terrible! They had to remove the toilets in order to put the flooring in and we were left with two toilets that leaked and did not function properly. The caulking was done poorly and looks terrible. The individual cutting the tile said that our old tile did not match the new tile in size and that was why it was not aligned correctly. Truthfully, it was never cut properly to match the old tile and now half of our tile is not in alignment. He removed the second handlebar from the wall and just filled the eight holes with caulking. The tile was never removed and replaced. I have never seen workmanship like this and am extremely disappointed. We were having this work completed in anticipation of a large family gathering. Needless to say, I had to ensure the shower curtain remained shut.

I used a site that would get me up to four quotes. Two contractors responded almost immediately with Dove Remodeling being one of them. They set up the appointment for the estimate and arrived on time and were very professional and friendly. I did not choose them because they had a minimum price which I thought was too expensive for the job that needed to be accomplished. I would consider using Dove for a larger job where their minimum charge would not be a deterrent.

This was one of three companies provided through service.com for estimates for the siding repairs we needed done. If we were to need similar work in the future, we would most likely call upon the company that we selected for this work. This is a family-owned business. They gave a free estimate and their serviceman made a good impression.

I felt encouraged when Jerry came to my house to estimate the job. He had an MHIC number and seemed. I thought that he might be on the crew coming back. I was not so lucky. The crew they sent could not have been more unprofessional. They did not bring a tub with them, and when they brought back a tub the next day, it was considerably smaller than the tub they removed. This affected the shoddy reinstallation of the shower doors and big space between the tub and floor tiles. They did not put down drop cloths and tracked dust all over the carpet on my stairs. When they finished, I was glad to be rid of them although that is when I started realizing how bad the job was. They did not put in a new diverter to code, but left the original 1964 2-handle knobs. They used a gas pipe for the spout and it spewed rust. When I had another company come and tear it all out, they said that they had used floor grout on the wall tile and the wrong size pipe for the drain. When I called Dove, I only recieved a recording. They never called back. I wish that I had checked their references better. I paid twice.
