Technician arrived on time and was polite knowledgeable and courteous. Inspected the whole system reported on what was needed and cleaned the entire system thoroughly leaving no mess behind.

I ordered the service at the end of 2014 and actually had the service performed at the end of 2015. Weather played a part in rescheduling on a couple of occasions. I had to reach out to the provider to finally get things scheduled. It's not the end of the world and the service was completed to my satisfaction. I can say that between the end of 2014 and 2015, the company appears to have hired a professional customer service person. She was great to deal with! The tech arrived on time and did a professional job. At no time did I feel like I was being pressured into additional services. I do need additional work on my fireplace and I will consider ChimneyTEK for the job.

ChimneyTek arrived on time and Vince and Wayne were very professional and quickly got to the job of performing a chimney inspection. I wasn't sure if we would need a sweep or not since it had been at least 3 years since we had our last sweep but we hadn't used our fireplace very much. They informed me that the inspection went well and that a sweeping would not be required until Spring of 2016.

I set up a date/time for an estimate. When I called several days later to reschedule the appointment it was done without a problem. The service person showed up early in the window of time I was given. After checking out the chimney, he described the work that needed to be done along with the estimate. Given that he had the needed materials with him and it was a quick fix, he was able to do the work immediately. Overall, a very positive experience and I would call them again.

Vince, the owner, was there himself. He pointed out a few small cracks and repairs that had been done on the firebox and said I should keep an eye on them. He suggested adding a fireback behind the grate to reflect more heat out of the fireplace into the room and to help protect and prolong the back wall of the fireplace insert (which has repairs on it already). Not only did they inspect and clean the fireplace, he made sure to inspect the furnace chimney as well. He climbed up on the roof, found there were no cap on the chimney and suggested adding that. He took pictures of the condition of the chimney and walked through it with me. In our case, the chimney is extremely old and the liner has gaps and broken spots and the chimney crown is in very poor condition with large gaps around the top where water leeks in. We talked about the fact that we need a new liner and to repair the chimney crown. The liner is currently on order and they will come back soon to install that (a stainless steel liner that goes in right over the current one, so no big demolition and clean up) and make the repairs. I paid $169 for inspection and cleaning. The rest was for the chimney cap and the fireback. Vince seems to be an honest straight shooter. I'm very happy with his company, ChimneyTek. Their prices are reasonable, they take the time to point out issues and explain things, and they're very professional. I'll continue to use their services and recommend them to anyone.

The clean and inspection was handled promptly and courteously. The team lead reviewed condition of flues and chimney with images. The liner, caps, and repairs were handled at a later appointment. Some communications errors occurred between the office and the team performing the work. The team did not have the correct materials or equipment for the work on arrival. The owner came on-site to help resolve the issues. Initially, he also was not clear on what work was to be performed. Fortunately, all the materials needed to complete the task were available in the shop. It would not have been the case, if all the work he thought was scheduled was going to be done. Due to the confusion and needed to have the team return to shop for materials, the job took all day instead of just a morning. The owner and both teams were very focused on performing quality work with proper materials. The reason punctuality and professionalism are not "A" rated was the communication / work order errors on the second appointment. Overall, I was very pleased. I also plan on have them complete additional work in the spring or summer.

- We originally scheduled with ChimneyTEK for a chimney sweep service. The tech came out as scheduled on 10/12/15 and conducted an inspection while my husband was home. We were then told we needed the back panel for our fireplace replaced as it was cracked, estimate of $490 for the repair and $159 for the sweep. The sweep was not completed as we were told it would make sense to do everything at once. We were told not to use the fireplace until the repair is completed. - I immediately called their office after the tech left and scheduled the follow-up service and sweep for 10/29/2015. October 29 came and my husband had taken the day off work to be home, but no one showed up. I called their office immediately and was told our appointment never made it onto their schedule. The receptionist apologized and we were offered a 10% discount on the repair and rescheduled for 11/7/2015 on a Saturday so we wouldn't need to take off work again. I also specifically asked if our panel had been ordered because it's a special order size. I was told they just got a shipment of panels and they were sure it was there. - On the morning of November 7 I received a call from a man named Vince who stated he is the owner. He informed me that our appointment would need to be rescheduled because our special size panel had not been ordered which he initially apologized for. I pointed out how this is the second time we had to reschedule this service, to which he responded everyone makes mistakes. When I pointed out that I had specifically asked if our panels were ordered when I last called and it's ridiculous to have constant issues like this with one service order, he became defensive and rude. He did not seem to have any concern or sympathy for the inconvenience his company caused twice. He did not offer any additional incentive to retain our business, stating their prices are already fairly low. Instead he simply stated if we are not happy with the service to go elsewhere. He provided a referral to another company, but given his behavior I do not trust his referral and will find a new chimney sweep on my own. I care more about customer service, punctuality, and quality service than I do about pricing. This company has lost my business not just this year but every year to come, especially if even their owner is that rude and has such poor customer service skills.

The installers were professional and did an excellent job.

The service was pretty quick (about an hour) and thorough. The two techs performed an overall evaluation of the fire place and were very curious and I would use this company again.

Provided me with several options that would be the most feasible for my situation. Provider not pushy and provided his honest opinion.

The day the flue was scheduled to be replaced, the actual owner of ChimneyTek was our service man that day. He did an inspection and told us that he did not think the flue needed replaced, there was some slight rusting around the outside, but it did not need replaced. And, he did not want us to spend $1,251 on a repair that was unnecessary. I appreciate his honesty, a lot of contractors would have done an unnecessary repair just for the money.

The chimney was examined for masonry repairs and swept. Repairs were suggested, but the cost was too much for my budget. The representative was on time, but I was surprised at the small amount of time required to perform the service. More time was given to convince me to get additional repairs.

It went great. We had a few scheduling hiccups because my schedule is very tight but we worked it all out to dates that were agreeable to us both.

The two workers were fantastic. They assessed the job and did the work. They were punctual (actually arriving earlier than I thought they would) professional, polite and skilled. Who could ask for more? The protected the wood floor as well. I am very pleased with the job just wish I had done it sooner as the opening was left for many years before I decided to get it done.

We needed a liner as well. Service provided was excellant and we will be using them again for inspections and cleaning.

ChimneyTEK replaced the chimney crown on the house I was selling. It took a bit of time to get someone scheduled to give me an estimate on the work, but on the day provided the estimator arrived and finished promptly. I was under a bit of pressure to get the job done as it was part of the repairs needed prior to the home sale. When I called to schedule the actual work, ChimneyTEK's representative took this into account and squeezed me into the schedule. The crown we had put on was framed and meant that someone had to return a week later to remove the framing. I called the day prior to the removal to ask if ChimneyTEK would place a new cap on the chimney for the home buyer (which she was providing). They did this at no charge. Overall, it was a fantastic service experience.

We decided to do this because it was recommended by our last furnace inspector, we have an old brick chimney and he had to clean out quite a bit of detruss when he did our service. Because of the hazardous nature of the work we had to keep rescheduling due to snow and rain. This was not the fault of the contractor, just the bad luck of when we were available. Recommend getting this work done in the summer. Finally got the work done in April. Installer was very skilled, very professional, and did a great job, even making allowances for future height increase of chimney. Unfortunately, his assistant was not there, so he had to do a lot more time up and down the ladder. Also, had contracted for a chimney sealing but his equipment was broken, so he did not charge me.

It went fine and the guy came out and did that. We had no problems and he was good.

Dealing with this company was disappointing. The promotion was misleading since it implied that for $149.00 I would receive more than just an inspection of my chimney. I had hired Chimney Tek because a brick had come loose and fallen off. They did reattach the brick for this price. I then contracted to have cracks in the crown of my two chimneys and new chimney covers installed. From what I can tell this job was completed well. My problem is that I bought this service in mid May and only today 7/28 was completed. They canceled on three occasions and the initial crew was unimpressive. This company needs to work on a more professional approach to business.
