Description of Work: I purchased an inspection and dollars off repair work for my chimney through Angie's List. I had already had an inspection several years ago and knew my chimney was leaking. But other companies had been unable to complete the work. Chimney Tech conducted the inspection and repairs in a very complete manner, were very professional and phased the work around several thunderstorms to make sure the repairs were able to properly dry. They placed a new concrete cap on the top and waterproofed all the brick work. My only minor complaint (B grades instead of As) was that scheduling the repair work was difficult. First, I took several weeks to determine if the price and recommended repairs were reasonable (not their issue). Then once I called back it was a slow process to schedule the work. A rain storm cancelled the first appointment. But, scheduling the make-up took another month. I will say that it worth the wait, as the repairs were done very well. I would rather have repairs done correctly than quickly.

Description of Work: Re-Parged my chimney. They did a good job, but make sure you read the fine print the $150.00 parge job with 4 hrs of labor which I purchased took about 3+ hrs and cost me an additional $150.00 because they sent two men. So the deal I thought I got was not a deal after all.

Description of Work: We used Chimney Tek two times - the first time was to have our chimney inspected and swept. Since we had never had any type of maintenance on our 20 year old fireplace, we felt Chimney Tek was responsive, clean (especially when sweeping out & cleaning our dirty old fireplace), professional & explained everything that needed to be repaired. We used Chimney Tek a second time when we needed a certified inspection/sweep before we could convert our wood burning fire place to gas. I would definitely recommend Chimney Tek.

Description of Work: All went well. They arrived promptly and did the work we had discussed. The results look good and I have every reason to believe they were well done. They re-cemented a stone in the stairs to the back porch and repaired some loose cement on the foundation and in the back of the fireplace. They were friendly and polite and I will hire them again if I have the need.
