Description of Work: Work needed was more extensive than I expected. I was told that I needed new blocks in the stove and sealant around the chimney. Rain caused a week delay on the work so Chimney Tek gave us a 5% discount. It looks like the work was done well. Workers came on time and cleaned up after themselves.

Description of Work: They cleaned the chimney, and offered some costly suggestions in addition. We had my husband's brother, who is a builder, put caps on the chimney for less than $100 instead of paying several times that for their suggested enhancements. Overall we were satisfied and have no complaints.

Description of Work: A very good experience starting with the Big Deal and culminating with a new chimney chase. Vince and his staff are all professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Vince and one of his assistants came out to do the services described in the Big Deal and took photos of the original chimney chase which clearly showed rust and deterioration. He explained the importance of replacing it and that each chase is custom made to fit the chimney exactly. We agreed to the replacement and set a date. Crystal, the office manager (and Vince's daughter) was diligent in contacting us, especially when there was a delay in receiving the chase from the manufacturer which required pushing back the installation. Henry and Luis did a great job removing the old chase and installing the new one. They took photos to show the result. It looks great--Santa will be pleased!

Description of Work: They swept my chimney. Unfortunately, there is a lot of creosote that could not be removed mechanically. They are coming back on two successive days for a chemical treatment and creosote removal. I was disappointed in how long it took to schedule both the original sweeping and the follow-up creosote removal.

Description of Work: After postponing the initial work date due to inclement weather, the crew arrived and performed the inspection. They were very knowledgeable and gave me useful information regarding my chimney and their inspection process. They determined that my chimney is not serviceable due to the mortar inside the chimney wearing thin and in some places showing gaps and the brick of the outer part of the chimney. He gave me an estimate on what the repairs would cost should I decide that I want to use the chimney. He also gave me other ideas with what to do such as getting a stainless steel insert, or getting an fireplace insert. | |They were very proficient and cleaned up after themselves. I will contact them again should I decide to fix or rebuild the fireplace.
